You Rock!

Wow its been over a week since I last posted – my apologies for that. The ugly ‘Fibromyalgia’ has raised its rather ugly head again so have been having to deal with some extra pain, headaches, insomnia and fatigue. Life is such a joy but I rest in the fact that I have friends who love me, a Saviour who died for me and I’m grateful as things could be a lot worse!

I did a Stamp A Stack for Nin last Sunday and she asked for some birthday cards for girls & guys – now Nin has little kids so I had the mindset of Kindy to High School – glad I clarified as she meant 20-50 year olds!! So then I started shuddering … dude cards!! Seriously??

I did a lot of ‘online research’for ideas and inspiration (Google is my friend!) I had also popped in on the SUDSOL Chat n Challenge last week which they had a sketch for – which now I cant find for the life of me and made this card ….

You Rock!

Recipe
Stamps: Grunge Rock , French Foliage, Perfect Words (Hostess)
Paper: Bashful Blue, Glossy White
Inks: Bashful blue, Pumpkin Pie, Peach Parfait, Cajun Craze, Marina Mist, Lucky Limeade, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: Lots of Tags Sizzlits, Square Punch, Daubers, Sponges, Dimensionals

A big thank you to the lovely Lisa Ryder for allowing me to borrow the Grunge Rock set – hopefully I’ll have time to make a couple of more cards with it before she needs it back!

Now as the Fibromyalgia is making its presence known I’ve decided to run more classes from home. This means I wont have to lug stuff everywhere and I’m sure hubby will be happy with this decision as it means a clean & tidy house!!

So the first class will be …

What: Technique Class – Collage Stamping
When:  Thursday – 29th March
Time:  10.30am
Cost:   $15
Where:  My place!!

please RSVP as soon as possible if you are coming to reserve your spot and so I can make kits

for a full list of all my classes please visit my Events Page

Don’t forget Sale-a-bration and the Summer Mini Catalogue both finish on 31st March – that’s just in 9 days!  So be sure to get your orders to me by that date so you can grab all your free Stamps & products!

Shimmery Festive Friday

Good Morning!!

Its a busy day here today with preparation for tonight’s Stamp A Latte Team meeting and for tomorrow’s Big Shot Boxed Up! class for Tracey and her friends. Yes I know I could have done some preparation and kit making however hubby bought home a Samsung Galaxy Tab to ‘assess’ and see if I wanted so whats a girl to do??  Oh and there were these cute little boxes I was making too that a friend in the USA shared with me – you’ll see those over the weekend!

Well its time for another Festive Friday and here is my card for this week …

Shimmery Greetings

Recipe
Stamps: Curly Cute, Easy Events
Paper: White Shimmer
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Pear Pizzaz Stampin Write Marker, Poppy Parade Stampin Write Marker, Big Shot, Petals a Plenty Embossing Folder, Vanilla Velvet ribbon, Pearl Jewels

This one turned out to be a very classy Christmas card and one that I think will be very popular this year although I will need to stock up on the velvet ribbon as its only available until the end of March with the Summer mini catalogue.

Be sure you hop over to Nicole’s blog for all the details of the Festive Friday Challenge #7 and play along!

We are also half way through Sale-a-bration and you still have time to get those free stamp sets so be sure to get your orders to me or contact me to host your Stampin’ Up! Workshop by the end of March. These sets are purely for Sale-a-bration and do not come into any future catalogues so once March is over these sets will no longer be available.

I am also hosting a “Leap into it” online Workshop on Wednesday with it being 29th February and we all know that only happens every 4 years!  I’ll be offering free tutorials, an online cyber stamp and when you place an order of $100 or more you’ll be entered into my mystery hostess draw and receive a free make n take kit – but remember orders must be placed with me by Wednesday. Feel free to contact me if you need more details or have any questions!

Vintage Flower

Good Morning!!

Well the sun is finally shining and I do feel I am winning against this flu!

Its Saturday so time for another Utah Divas Sketch Challenge and here is today’s sketch …

Now this sketch has so much potential – I even made a card completely different to my original idea so you might just see another sample later in the week!

I helped my newest “Latte” team member last night with her business launch and she asked I demonstrate the flowers on the front of the Summer Mini Catalogue so I thought I’d incorporate them into this week’s sketch card and here is my card …

Fun Vintage Flower

Oh dear I should have straightened that photo a bit hey? sorry!

I love this flower die and running them through the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and giving them a little sponging just makes them pop!!  It’s been  a while since I used a wheel too and love this Friendly Words Jumbo Wheel.  This is a lovely quick and easy card and the girls last night loved my flowers!

Now be sure you hop over to the Utah Divas International Blog to see what the other lovely ladies have created – oh and please say a prayer for Ruthie B who is at the hospital with her Mom.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Hello and Happy Valentine’s Day!

I just wanted to pop in and wish you a lovely day and share a cute little project I made today to give to my beautiful girls and hubby.

Valentine's Treats

This was the very first time I’ve played with the treat cups – can you believe that?? What fun they are – they make gorgeous little gifts like this!  When researching all the things you can do with them this morning I now have a whole heap of ideas to try!

I do hope you like the little treats I made and I’m sure the family will too!

Here’s just one little Valentine thought I’d like to leave with you ….

God Bless!

Topsy-Turvy Sketch

Good Morning … and what a lovely Saturday it is – blue skies!! Yes you read that right!!

Its Saturday and that means another Utah Divas Sketch Challenge and here is this week’s sketch …

Sketch #174

I really didnt want to do hearts or valentines and I wanted to use some stamps that I earned for free from the recent Bookathon Demonstrators took part in and this is what I came up with …

Topsy-Turvy Birthday

I just love this cake!! It’s a wee bit funky isnt it??

It makes for a very cute card and it must be ok as my nearly 15yo daughter gave it her ‘squeal of approval‘!

This card is fun and quite easy to make and I’d love to show you how at your workshop – all you need is a few friends and the desire to have a lot of fun!  Contact me today to book your workshop in and start earning free stamps with Sale•a•bration and more when you have a qualifying workshop!

Pretty Sketch

Morning all!!

I’m busy finishing off some wedding samples for a customer who’s coming to view them this afternoon – so hard working out pricing as I dont want to charge too much yet at the same time dont want to rip myself off for my work and time!

Its another Saturday – last Saturday of our school holidays here before the girls embark on a new year of schooling and with my youngest starting High School it is a bitter sweet time for me but glad they’ll both be in the same school now so wont need to worry if one is running late on the bus or not!

Being Saturday that means its time for another Utah Divas Sketch Challenge and here is this week’s sketch …

Diva Sketch 173

Easy enough … and look no rotating or anything …

So Sweet!

Recipe
Stamps: Up in the Air (Hostess – Summer Mini), Charming (Summer Mini)
Paper: Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Subtles Paper Stack
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Bashful Blue, Peach Parfait, Regal Rose, Certainly Celery

How pretty and ‘springy’ is this card??  and what’s a ‘spring’ card without butterflies??

I love how this turned out and it seriously came about in like 25 minutes – must be one of my quickest sketch cards ever!!  This will be one of the cards for our next Stamp A Stack so if you’d like to make a couple of these be sure to book your spot for the 11th February!

Now be sure to hop over to the Utah Divas Blog and see what lovelies the other Designing Divas have got up to this week!

Cherished Times

Yes its Saturday and time for another Utah Divas Sketch Challenge and I do hope the other sketchy Divas had a great time at Leadership in Utah!

I am feeling a bit weary this afternoon after hitting the shops this morning to do the ‘back to school’ shopping … Uniforms, Shoes, Back Packs, Books, Pens, Pencils, etc – the list seems to get longer and longer each year!  My poor body is starting to seize up so I’ll take some meds and go rest up a bit after I finish this post.

Here is this week’s sketch ….

simple enough hey?? well i had a sneak peek at what the other girls made and wanted to do something a little different – so unlike me isnt it?? well you will be surprised to know that I rotated the sketch (is that you I can hear gasping??) and here is what I made …

Recipe
Stamps: Easy Events, Tiny Tags, You’re Cherished
Inks: Jet Black Stazon, Pear Pizzaz, Pool Party, Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, Old Olive
Paper: Whisper White, Pool Party, Early Espresso, Spice Cake DSP (Summer Mini)
Accessories: 1/8″ White Taffeta ribbon, Whisper White Bakers Twine, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Modern Label Punch, Vintage Trinkets, sponges, aqua painter, stampin dimensionals

When I rotated the sketch all I could see is the sweet little grandfather clock from Easy Events – yes I used that set again!!  I did tell you that you’d see a few things made with it didnt I??

I do hope you like what I’ve made this week and be sure you pop over to the Utah Divas International Blog and see what the other girls have made.

Have a wonderful weekend!
