Wheely Happy Birthday

I cant tell you just how ‘wheely’ happy I am with a couple of items in the upcoming Summer Mini Catalogue. One of those is the new ‘Builder Wheels’ and I would love to show you a picture but I cant do that till 1st December.

Now we’ve had the standard and jumbo Stampin round wheels but now we will be having “Builder Wheels” which are wheels about 15mm wide which you can alternate and ‘build’ your own designs. There are 6 new Builder Wheels in the Summer Mini Catalogue and I’m showing you two of them today.

builderwheelbirthday  I love this card and it makes a very queasy Birthday card! I’ve just used two builder wheels for this card being Posy Party (top) and Bees and Blossoms (bottom).

When you purchase your Builder Wheels you will also need to purchase the Builder Wheel Spindle & Spacers. This allows you to thread the wheels on in the order you wish or you can also just use one or two wheels with the spacers. For this card I used two wheels and a spacer between the two – this is where the ribbon lays on the card.

The flowers on the ribbon are stamped using the new Itty Bitty Bits stamp set and punched with the coordinating Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack. I’ve then placed a tiny rhinestone on each flower and for the dot on the ‘i’ for Happy Birthday which is from the new Well Scripted Stamp set.

Haitian Disaster Relief

Stampin’ Up! is a company with heart and this is evident in previous times of hardship in USA with the disaster in Katrina and last year here in Australia with the horrid bush fires in Victoria and the current situation in Haiti is no different.

From now until the end of February Stampin’ Up! will donate $2.00 to the Red Cross for every sale of the ” I {heart} Hearts” stamp set.

This is a wonder set and it coordinates with the two heart punches from Stampin Up! and its a great set for all you valentines cards and projects as well.

Now if you purchase the “I {heart} Hearts” stamp set I will also give my full commission on that stamp set as well as commission on the two heart punches if you purchase them as well.  So this is a way we can both help with the Haitian situation and we all know what a good job the Red  Cross does in these situations.

All good things …

must come to an end … or so they say!

March sees the end of two very special catalogues.longtimefriendcalendar2008

Firstly, the Summer Mini Catalogue finishes on 31st March and I have really enjoyed promoting this Catalogue as it has such lovely stamp sets and accessories in it – and all very reasonably priced. You have probably noticed one of my favourite sets from this catalogue is Long Time Friend which I’ve used in this calendar along with Sage Advice for the saying. This set is so easy to colour and you just cant do anything wrong with it. Its perfect for cards or gifts like this calendar. Also, Sage Advice is a great buy with 4 great quotes and 4 images its great value at $47.95.

The other book that is finishing this month is the 2007 Idea Book & Catalogue. However with this book finishing it also means that we are getting a brand new Idea Book & Catalogue and I am rather excited and anxious to see the new products that will be coming in this book.

As you know the retirement list was released last week and there are many sets that are being retired that are some of my favourites. To celebrate those sets retiring and to give them one last hurrah I am offering 10% off all retiring stamp sets from the 2007 Idea Book & Catalogue during March. Now a lot of the favourites are selling out already so if there is something you’d really like you may need to be quick to get it as once the stock is sold out it will not be replaced or replenished.
