Spring Branches with Colorful Season Bundle ..
I loved making this card and really like how it turned out with the soft pastel colours – it just gives way to the soft spring breezy days.
The background is a watercolor wash and I spritzed another piece in Lemon Lime Twist and Flirty Flamingo then cut the flowers from that.

Good Afternoon – hope you are keeping warm where you are! Today I have another share from my Colorful Season class for your and today’s ‘season’ is Christmas … or winter.
Colorful Season for Christmas
I am currently in Victoria visiting family and it’s freezing here. I know it’s winter but boy they do get the wind’s off what feels like the winds are coming straight off the polar ice caps in Antarctica! So thought it fitting to share a card with snowflakes on it with you today!
I love snowflakes and soft colours for Christmas even though our Christmas weather is sweltering. The Seasonal Layers Thinlits was perfect to pair with the Soft Falling Embossing Folder and the sentiment from the Star of Light Stamp Set for this card.
Our Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper makes the perfect Snowflakes!
The sentiment comes from the Star of Light Stamp sent and is stamped in Dapper Denim.

Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack
Now I had originally planned to make a set of cards for you today however today has not gone to plan. It seems tomorrow I’ll be taking an unscheduled trip to see family in Victoria. My Dad isn’t well so we are going down for a few days to get him sorted and to support my sister. It’s just a short 12 hour drive – I could fly down but it takes just as long with travelling to and from airports!
I’ve made this super quick and easy Thank You card for you today ..
This card is super quick and super easy to make and would be perfect for any occasion – simply change your sentiment and it’s done. The sentiment today comes from theOne Big Meaning Stamp Set.

I’ve got a sweet card for you today using the gorgeous Eclectic Layers Thinlits
The Eclectic Layers Thinlits pack is a great addition to your craft supply. It’s got 13 gorgeous dies of which some cut images out, some have detailed cuts and some emboss. So much to add to all your projects.
Oh So Subtle Eclectic Layers
I’ve used the subtles family colours to cut my flowers and leaves using Pink Pirouette, Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz. I’ve stamped my sentiment from the Oh so Eclectic Stamp Set and cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.
I’ve done a little watercolour wash on my base card so you see a slight blue hue through the cutout.
I’ve embellished my card with the new shimmery pool party ribbon and some iddy biddy pearls in the centre of the flowers for a soft feminine touch.
Today I have a lovely card with a view using Colourful Season and High Tide from my Colorful Season Class.
Colorful Season High Tide ..
I love how this card turned out – it’s like looking out your window onto a beach scene. You can just about hear those waves crash cant you?
To create the ‘window’ on my card I cut a piece of copy/printer paper the same size as my top layer. Then using my trimmer I cut a rectangle mask out …
Once you have cut your mask simply lay it over your top cardstock layer that’s the same size and use your sponge brayers to brayer on Crumb Cake for the sand and Bermuda Bay for the Sea & Sky. Stamp your Sea/Water stamp before removing the mask so you keep the nice clean edges to your ‘window’.
Remove your mask and complete your stamping. The Adirondack Chair is cut from Shimmery White using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits and adhered to your top layer with mini dimensionals.
This is a great card that can be given for any occasion and another card totally perfect for giving to the males in our lives. You could even swap the chair out for some sea shells, birds or even a small boat!
Colorful Season Bundle Class To Go – coming soon
I do hope you like today’s card and if you’d like to purchase the Colorful Season Class To Go the Tutorials will be up later in the week in my Classes to Go Store. Again, you’ll get it for freewhen you purchase of the stamp set or bundle from me.
Good Morning and welcome to another Stamping Techniques 101 Blog Hop
This month we are all doing a little Heat Embossing for you!
I do love Heat Embossing as there’s so many different ways to use this technique and people just go “Wow” the first time they see it!
For today’s post I’ve used the emboss resist technique …
I love this technique as it’s easy to do and the images just pop.
How did she do that?
Gather your supplies – Cardstock, Embossing buddy, Versamark Ink, Embossing Powder, Sponges, Stamp (solid images work best) and Heat Gun.
Swipe your piece of cardstock with your embossing buddy and shake off excess.
Stamp image in Versamark onto cardstock.
Cover image with Embossing Powder, shake off excess and pour back into pot. Heat set embossing powder till melted.
Allow image to cool and sponge over you image lightly in your chosen ink colour and watch those images pop!
Heat Embossing tips …
use the embossing buddy to remove any oils or static from cardstock
if you have any odd embossing powder remain after shaking off use a soft paint brush to remove
do not hold your heat gun too close to your cardstock as it will burn. Hold about 4″ or 10cm from your work
start your sponging lightly – it’s easier to add colour than it is to take it away
I used a vanilla card base and just used clear embossing powder to bring out the vanilla foliage. I sponged first in Soft Sky then went over that around the edges in Island Indigo. Using the two colours in my sponging creates more depth to the card.
The foliage Stamp comes from the new Flirty Flowers Stamp Set and the sentiment comes from the Beautiful You Stamp Set. Be sure to check at the end of my post for all the supplies used.
Now it’s time to check out what the other ladies have made for you ….
I do hop you enjoy all the gorgeous creations the girls have for you this month and hope, too, that if you havent done heat embossing before to give it a go. If you need to ‘see’ it let me know and I’m more than happy to do a video for you – I may even do it at my weekly Facebook Live video’s on my Stamp A Latte Facebook Page on Tuesdays at 11am Sydney time.
