Freshly Brewed Embellished Projects

Good Afternoon .. it’s Wednesday so it must be time for another Freshly Brewed Projects from the Latte Girls and this week we are sharing ways to Embellish your projects.

Recently I’ve started doing Facebook Live videos on my Facebook Business page and on my Private Latte Girls Team group. While we’ve had a few hiccups they’ve been lots of fun which is a little surprising as I dont normally like being in front of the camera.

Last week I decided to pull out and ink up my Tie Dyed Stamp Set from the Occasions Catalogue.  I did this one live on my Stamp A Latte Facebook Page and these are a little fun as I dont normally go from a sample card – just an idea in my head …

Birthday Dude Card using Tie Dyed from Stampin' UP! created by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

It’s always nice when you do these things live and they actually turn out as you’d imagined them!  The one is done with Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise and Wild Wasabi for a guys Tie Dyed card.

Of course we need one for the ladies …

These cards are so quick and fun and just a little ‘hip’.  The colours I used on this one are Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo.

Both the Sentiments come from the Birthday Blast Stamp Set.

Now for some super fun embellishing …

Just Sitting Here …

Just Sitting Here this afternoon, sipping on my coffee out of my new Cheeki Cup and thinking there’s only 4 days left of Saleabration!  It’s always sad when Saleabration comes to an end but then I look at all the cool freebies I received and think wow!

I have a sweet card for you today using the Sitting Here Stamp set that we made at Marina’s party …

Sitting here from Stampin' Up! - Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin; Up! Demonstrator Sydney Australia

This was a fun card to make and very therapeutic with the colouring included.  The swing was stamped first then all the other pieces around it.  It was intentionally stamped in the middle so the ropes look like they are coming out of the branches.  The tree canopy was done with the canopy stamp from Sheltering Tree.

Being Photopolymer it was super easy to line the bird and the swing shadow up.  The cushions were stamped on a separate piece of card stock and placed on the card with Dimensionals. Sitting here from Stampin' Up! - Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin; Up! Demonstrator Sydney Australia

Now as Marina hates fussy cutting I thought I’d see if we had a punch for the pillows.  Guess What?  we do!!   the  3/4″ circle punch cuts them out perfectly!

Have you got all the free Saleabration products you wanted?  You know about the newest list of offerings dont you?

I love it when you can get some regular items for free!  The Seaside embossing folder is on the backorder list so you may have to wait a bit for that one or simply pick something else!  There’s just so much to choose from!

you’ll get 1/2 a metre each of 10 different ribbons

This card was so much fun to make and the Ice Cream does come to life as you build it and pop that Chocolate shell on top!   Now I’m glad this is just a card ice cream as I’d hate to think how many points would be in a real one being on Weight Watchers!

The Frozen Treats framelits make this card super easy with all the scoops, topping, cherry & cone easy to cut out ..

Stamped Emboss Woodlands

Good Afternoon!  I have another card for you today from my ‘Ways to Use – Embossing Folders’ class.  Today’s card uses the Stamped Emboss Technique ..

I love this technique and I  love how you get a different look every time!

Technique Quick Steps ..

  1. Choose an Embossing Folder that will work with a ‘background’ like Woodland.
  2.  Stamp image onto the side with the raised background – usually the side with the Sizzix logo on it.
  3.  Place cardstock onto unstamped side of folder and close. Run through Big Shot once or twice to ensure a good transfer of the stamped image/s.

For my background on this card I simply stamped the tree canopy stamp from Sheltering Tree on my folder using Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum.

I loved the look so much I did it in a landscape card as well …

You dont want to cover up all the work you’ve just done so a small simply sentiment is perfect for this card.

I hope you like my cards as much as the ladies at the class did – they were very happy with the results of this card.

Dont forget to get your orders in this month so you dont miss out on any of the free Saleabration items.  Being the last weeks of Saleabration the products are while stocks last so be sure to get those orders in before you miss out – some of the items have already run out in the USA!

Be a Happy Stamper – use my March Hostess Code to receive your free gift!

Freshly Brewed Projects – Hey Chick

Welcome to another round of Freshly Brewed Projects from the Latte Girls and this week we are designing Easter Projects with the Hey Chick Sale-a-bration Stamp Set.

When I first saw the Hey Chick Stamp Set I thought what a cute fun set …

Little did I know just how very popular it was going to be!  Stampin’ Up! are so on target with their designs and products!

Just like all good things Saleabration is coming to an end 🙁   There’s just three weeks left to get your order in and grab your free stamp sets.   Dont dilly dally and leave it too late … you dont want to be like this guy …

Now being that we have an Easter theme and the Hey Chick Set I was immediately drawn to our pretty cool Mini Egg Cartons …

Mini Egg Cartons

Here’s what I made …

Cute Easter Packages using Hey Chick & Mini Easter Cartons - Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator Australia

These Easter Treat boxes are so quick and easy – even with the colouring of the cartons.

To colour your cartons simply 3/4 fill your Spritzer with rubbing Alcohol and then pop in 3 or 4 drops of reinker for the colour you want.  You can adjust the concentration of colour by the number of drops. If you want a lighter colour use 2-3 drops and for a richer, more intense colour use 4-6 drops.  I’ve used Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay on my cartons.

I found these sparkly eggs at Coles the other day so perfect for today’s photo.  These little Easter Treat Cartons will be perfect for my girls for Easter.  They are older now so dont really do the Easter Egg Hunt thing and really do not need copious amounts of chocolate – although my 17 year old would beg to differ!

I will pop a few eggs inside these for them for Easter with the addition of a Gift Card.  This will allow them to get something they want and still celebrate the Gift of Easter.

I hope you like the little treat boxes I made for today and now it’s time to stop by and visit with Libby and Narelle and see what gorgeous Easter Projects they’ve made for you today

Baby Cards with Bookcase Builder

Good Afternoon!  Do you ever go through a catalogue and see something new each time? or maybe you see a stamp set you wonder why you havent seen it before? Have you noticed the Bookcase Builder Stamp Set in the Occasions Catalogue? It’s one I love and think gets overlooked. Dont think you’d use it?  Well I hope what I’m sharing with you today changes your mind.

I have some friends who recently had a baby after many years of trying so wanted to make them a card.  I made this card using the Bookcase Builder Stamp set …

This card was so quick and easy with the Stitched Shape Framelits and our Notecards.  You can still order the Stitched Shape Framelits even though they arent in the catalogues and they will be in the new Annual Catalogue that comes out in June!

I loved this card so much I decided to make a bundle of matching thank you cards for them to use …

I did use the “Thank You for being my friend stamp” from the Bookcase Builder and just used my Island Indigo Stampin’ Write marker to colour just the Thank You and it worked a treat!

The colours I used for the blocks are Tangerine Tango, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry.

I do have some more ideas jotted down in my planner for the Bookcase Builder Stamp Set so stay tuned for those over the next few weeks.

Here’s what you’ll need to make this project …

Ways to use Embossing Folders – Brick Wall

Good Morning and Welcome to another edition of my new Ways to Use Classes and this month it’s Ways to Use Embossing Folders.

This class was so much fun and the ladies all loved it and it will be available as a Class To Go for you to purchase this week – or you can also get it for free so keep reading on for those details!

Brick Wall Sponging …

I loved doing this card and making the background.  I’ve used the Brick Wall embossing folder with Very Vanilla Cardstock. I then sponged with blues, browns and gray inks to  get this effect.

I wanted to emulate those plaques and metal decor items you can get for the outside entertaining areas.  I chose the pots from Gift from the Garden Stamp Set and just coloured my stamp with my Stampin’ Write Markers before stamping.  The sentiment is cut out using one of the frames from the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelit pack.

I do love the way the bricks are vertical – it’s like one of those trendy new style feature walls.

How perfect would this card be to go with a plaque or plant for a housewarming present?

Be sure to check back later this week to get all the details for my Ways to Use Embossing Folders Virtual Class!
