Good Afternoon – It’s Friday and we’ve made it through another week – go us!! Today I have a wonderful technique to share with you – Ink Smooshing!
Ink Smooshing Technique
This is a really fun technique to do although it can be a little messy so you’ll need to make sure you have your table or work area cleared and protected. Now I dont mean a huge 6′ drop sheet – just a 12×12 worksheet is sufficient. I used one of the backing boards from our Foil cardstock to work on.
If you search online you’ll see a few different ways to do this technique and I opted to do mine using a ziploc bag with my hand inside to do the ‘smooshing’. Now I’m not sure when the word ‘smooshing’ became a real word but we’ll go with it as that’s what you do – you smoosh the ink onto the watercolor paper!
I used the colours Lemon Lime Twist, Tempting Turquoise and Island Indigo on my piece and this is what it looked like before adding the stamping, die cuts & embellishments.
Want step by step instructions for the Ink Smooshing Technique?
I do hope you have lots of fun with this tutorial and be sure to share what you make!
Hello and welcome 🙂 Today I have a sweet project for you using the Merry Little Labels Bundle and the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper pack.
Merry Little Labels Tags …
These tags really were heaps of fun to create and all you need is the Merry Little Tags Bundle, Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper, a couple of ink pads and a couple of markers!
Having the punch in the Bundle make these tags quick and easy and while I was making the tags I thought how easy it would be to turn the tags into cards!
Merry Little Labels Cards
I converted two of my tags into cards using the gorgeous Note Cards from Stampin’ Up!
I love this little tag stamp with the trees and the deer. Now I know Christmas in Australia does not include snow but that stamp is just so pretty! When choosing the patterned paper for this one I opted for the tree design and it’s like a continuation of the trees in the image.
I am loving this one! I love the wreath behind the tag! Those wreaths are so much fun as they have wire in them so they are easy to manipulate and shape to whatever you want them to be!
These were so quick and fun I made them in this week’s Project Video …
I do hope you enjoy the video – I know it goes for over 10 minutes but I show you how to create a couple of tags and the cards plus I’ve included a couple of stamping tips for you!
If you like the look of these little tags and cards why not join me on 5th November for my Merry Little Labels class? We’ll start at 2pm and have some fun created some gorgeous tags and cards for Christmas! Click the button below to register!
Good Afternoon! Welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects with the Latte Girls Blog Hop! Today we are sharing projects using our gorgeous Designer Series Paper.
Designer Series Paper
I love our range of Designer Series Paper! I also love that this month you can get a pack for free when you purchase 3 packs in the Designer Series Paper Sale.
Today I have a couple of cards I’ve brewed up using the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper pack and the Coffee Cafe Bundle.
These cards were included in my Card Making Day Stack. I love the note cards and envelopes for quick and easy cards – they use less Designer Series Paper too so you can more out of a sheet of paper for backgrounds and elements.
This one was fun to create and I could create my sentiment “Coffee Friend” by colouring the words with my Stampin’ Write Marker and stamping it onto my strip of Designer Series Paper. The little heart comes from the heart strip die from the Mini Treatbag Thinlits.
This one was quick and fun and a great way to say thanks! The doilly just adds to the card and gives it a little more depth. I love the softness from using the Soft Sky cardstock for the cup.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my projects today and it’s now time to head around and see what the other Latte Girls have created for you!
Good Afternoon and welcome to another Merry Monday! This week I have a little sneak peek into Saturday’s class using Year of Cheer Suite.
So what is Merry Monday? well it’s my little bit of Christmas each week up until Christmas Day. Each Monday I’ll bring you something a little ‘Merry’ to inspire you to start getting organised for Christmas. I hope to have you all organised with cards and Christmas gift and gift packaging ideas so you wont be stressing out Christmas Eve trying to get everything done!
Year of Cheer Suite
The Year of Cheer Suite is full of all sorts of gorgeousness with elegant foils, delightful metallic embellishments and sentiments for all sorts of occasions!
In our class on Saturday we’ll be embossing the sweet Acetate Card Box and making some glorious cards to pop inside which will make gorgeous presents either before or even for Christmas!
I love the Acetate Card Boxes! They are the perfect way give cards and all sorts of gifts and for any occasion – not just Christmas.
The cards I have to show you today are the same card with a couple of differences. This first one has the banner on the left and a gold embellishement with the silver metallic ribbon.
This second card is same as the first just the banner is on the right and I’ve used gold metallic ribbon and a silver star embellishment. These cards are quick and fun to do and whoever you give them to will love them!
Hello and welcome to another Merry Monday! Today I’m using the very lovely Merry Mistletoe Stamp Set.
I wont deny I had a lot of fun creating cards for my World Card Making Day Card Buffet on Saturday and I’ve got two of them to share with you today!
I love the simplicity of this card and how easy it was to create. It makes a great Christmas Card that’s easy to make a few of at one time. A simply huff on the stamp after stamping it on the card decorates the envelope perfectly!
This one came together really easily and is one of my favourites! I love that Deer and it did have me dreaming of Alaska 😉
Now dont forget the World Card Making Day Sale finishes Tuesday night and you wont want to miss out on these specials …
I’m off to grab some more savings and I think you should too! Dont forget you get two free refills when you purchase the Fast Fuse Adhesive!
I do hope you like my Merry Mistletoe cards today and be sure to pop back tomorrow for my Time Out Free Tutorial.
Welcome back! It’s Friday and my last day visiting with my friend Libby. We’ve had a wonderful couple of days but it’s time to head back to the tribe and sort them out! Today I have my pretty Oh Happy Day card for you …
I really enjoyed making this card as I wanted to share how you can use your stamps to make your own patterned paper or backgrounds. The three present stamp is stamped staggered on the card in Powder Pink and I’ve used my blender pen to just drag the ink for some soft colouring.
The navy was the perfect colour to go with the Powder Pink and really makes the card pop. If I’d used another subtle colour the card would have looked washed out.
I love that using this sentiment with the presents & cake stamp is suitable for any celebration – birthdays, wedding, engagement or any occasion that involves cake & presents really!
I do hope you like today’s card and have a go at making your own patterned paper with your stamps.
