Got Chocolate? Got Sketch!

Afternoon!!

Well today has been a day to say the least … well actually it started last night when I just couldnt sleep.  Its not that I was worried or concerned about anything more than normal – sleep just didnt come last night. So after a couple of hours of tossing and turning I decided to get up again and finish the card I’d started while updating my iPhone & iPad software.

I just love lots and lots of things about the upcoming Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue and one of the best things is the new Eat Chocolate stamp set. Its a gorgeous chocolate themed set that includes 4 stamps for just $28.95 (clear mount) and then there is the new Decorative Label Punch that matches one of the stamps beautifully – they are both worth every cent I tell you!!

I had a mental picture in my mind of the card I wanted to make after seeing the latest card sketch from Got Sketch and here is my card …

Got Sketch 113 Card

I had lots of fun doing this card!  I loved colouring in the little chocolates and getting the right colours to match and they look like those little divine chocolates dont they? My mouth is watering just thinking about them!

Now I must say that gathering the ribbon the way I do its much much easier to do it with the Taffeta ribbon than the wide Satin ribbon! I did persist and it did happen but boy it took a while! So it can be done – I had to try just so I could tell you that!

See how the punch is perfect for that stamp? That is one of the best things about Stampin’ Up! – they match their products to suite so you dont have to go to this and that shop finding the right tool to match – its all in one convenient catalogue – ours!!

How would you like to be one of the first to host a workshop for the new Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue?  it starts 1st April and I’m taking bookings now – and to the first five who book they will receive a bonus free Sale•A•Bration stamp set!

So if you want a bonus Sale•A•Bration stamp set then make sure you secure your date today!

I am also now scheduling a new Stamp Club so if you’d like to join – whether local or by mail then please email or ring me for more details.

Because I Care

Its the first day of School Holidays here in Sydney, NSW and I sooo enjoyed my sleep in today. Although I do find if I sleep in then I feel tired and lethargic for the day … maybe I need to sleep in again tomorrow to be sure??  One has to research these things just so we can educate others ;)

With a new catalogue comes new stamps and I love remaking favourite styles of cards using new stamps and one of my favourite cards is the Easel Card.  They are a “Squeasy” card … now I’ve educated you on the new ‘Onie’ style of cards being the “Queasy” cards but now here is a new term for you – “Squeasy” which of course means Super Quick and Easy!

I love the Hydrangea in the Because I Care Hostess Stamp Set and couldn’t wait to use it. I had to team it up with En Francais for this elegant card …

Stamps: Because I Care, En Francais
Paper:   Concord Crush, Very Vanilla
Inks:     Crumb Cake, Concord Crush, Jet Black Stazon, Old Olive
Accessories:  Stampin Dimensionals, Stampin Sponges, Big Shot, Lots of Tags Sizzlits Pack

I love Hydrangeas and they always remind me of my mum and the numerous plants we had around the house when growing up.

Here are a couple of views of the card ….

These cards are great for any occasion and as you can see you can post them flat and the stopper is there so they can be stood up to display. I’ve just popped a heap of dimensionals under the Concord Crush frame to make it higher and therefore be used as the stopper.

Feel free to contact me for more information on how to make this card or one similar.

A Razzleberry Christmas

We all love new stamps do we not?

Being a Stampin Up! demonstrator has many benefits and one of those is to be able to pre-order stamps and products prior to the catalogue being released. This goes for all catalogues and allows us to have some samples made up for when the new catalogue commences. One of the sets i pre-ordered was the lovely little Contempo Christmas – its on page 23 of the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalogue (got yours yet??)

razzlebaubles

Recipe
Stamps: Contempo Christmas
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Cottage Wall DSP (retired)
Inks: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive
Accessories: Two Way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot ribbon (retired), Stampin Dimenionals

This card was a great card to create to use up some of the left over Cottage Wall DSP and Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot ribbon I had left over.  This card will be even quicker if you have the lovely new Extra Large Ornament punch which I’m just waiting to arrive.

Now although I used retired DSP and ribbon on this card you could easily re-create with new DSP and ribbons from the new 2o10-2011 Idea Book & Catalogue – it would look great with the Jolly Holiday DSP or even a couple of sheets from the new Patterns Stacks – you can find them on page 127.

The new DSP Paper Stacks are a new item and they include 40 sheets of double sided patterned papers in the Colour families – you get 4 different designs/patterns in the 10 colours in each family or the 5 colours in the In Colour family for just $37.95 – thats less 95 cents per sheet! Now you cant beat that for double sided high quality patterned paper!

The ladies at yesterday’s Stamp A Stack loved this card and how easy it was to put together.

I will be posting out some more 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalogues today to those who have ordered them recently. If you dont have your copy then please ensure you ring or email to arrange your copy.

Birthday Tess

I’ve had a few birthdays the last few weeks and wanted to use my Tote-ally Tess stamp set.

After deliberating for what seemed like hours (which was really about 20 minutes or so) on what papers to use I finally gave in and went with the gorgeous Cottage Wall Designer Series Papers.

As much as I love the Tote-ally Tess set and ‘had’ to have her I’ve struggled to use her in cards.  So I’m challenging myself  to use Tess more so I hope you will see a few different “Tess” cards over the next few weeks.

Why dont you make a card with Tess too and pop a comment with the link to your blog post or online gallery?

This one is simply a “Birthday Tess” carrying a little cupcake. Looking at the card now I could have added a little gift bag as well – I might even still do that and send through a photo once its done.

Recipe:

Stamps: Tote-ally Tess, Short and Sweet
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, Whisper White, Cottage Wall DSP
Inks: Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron, More Mustard, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Ridinghood Red, Going Gray.
Accessories: Big Shot, Lots of Tags sizzlits, White Taffeta Ribbon, Aqua Painter, Stampin Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, Mini Glue dots.

One of my favourite ways to colour is to use my Aqua Painter and the ink pads to water colour and I was pleasantly surprised at how well the Certainly Celery top went with the Rich Razzleberry pants.

So who’s for a cupcake?

I could go one right about now!  Why not treat yourself to one today and why not grab a Latte at the same time to wash it all down! In honour of all the birthdays we’ve had lately of course ;)

Stamp Club

How would you like to earn a free Hostess Stamp Set and $30 to spend on any item in the Stampin’ Up Idea Book & Catalogue or Mini Catalogue?  How about learning new techniques to use in your stamping?

You can do this and more just by being a member of my Latte Stamp Club you can do this and more!

What is a Stamp Club?

  • The Latte Stamp Club meets monthly and for 6 months, the workshop is free of charge and you will get to make 3 items created just for my stamp club members.
  • Each Latte Stamp Club member must place a minimum order of $50 each month
  • Each month each Latte Stamp Club member will take a turn of being the ‘hostess’ and as a hostess will earn hostess benefits being a free Hostess Stamp set as well as a minimum of $30 of  free products from the Stampin’ Up! Idea Book & Catalogue or the current Mini Catalogue. Now when it is your turn to be hostess then you are welcome to get outside orders to boost your hostess benefits.

Not located near me?  Not a problem!

You are then able to join my Latte Long Distance Stamp Club.  If you like the idea of the stamp club but are unable to make the time to attend or cant attend on the specified date then  contact me to arrange a spot in my Latte Long Distance Stamp Club. You will still be required to place a minimum $50 order each month, and each member will still get to be ‘hostess’ and receive the hostess benefits!

Maybe you’d like to start your own Latte Stamp Club with just you and five of your friends – I just need 6 people to start a club and then you can share all the joys of the monthly Latte Stamp Club and taking turns in playing  hostess with your friends.

Please note that this is a 6 monthly commitment so you wont be able to drop out during those six months and you will need to complete the agreement to participate each month. If you find you can not make the Stamp Club meeting for any reason you will still be required to place a $50 order and you will receive kits to make the projects for that meeting along with any templates and full instructions.

Here is a sample of one of the cards you will make as being part of my Latte Stamp Club!
