Star of Wonder

You know when you see something for the first time and know you just have to have it?

No … I’m not talking about Chris Hemsworth … …. …. no really I’m not!

When I first looked through the Holiday Catalogue one set that really caught my eye and I knew I had to have was the Star of Light Stamp Set.

Everything about it grabbed me .. from the stars, swirls and accents to the sentiments – it was just perfect.  Well I finally had time to sit down and create with it and this is what I made …

This photo really does not do this card justice.  It’s hard to get a good picture of a white background with soft colours on it.

The star swirl and medium stars are stamped in Soft Sky. The sentiment is done in Sweet Sugarplum and the little stars in Pink Pirouette.

I chose this colour combination from the Fancy Frost Sequins which I’d intended to use on the card but it was a little too much … just a few of the smallest rhinestones was enough and the heart in the centre of the large star is from the metallic enamel shapes.

I’ve painted clear wink of stella onto the Soft Sky star to give it a little extra sparkle and it truly does look lovely.

If you are coming to my Christmas Stamp A Stack today you’ll get to make this sweet card as well as 2 other designs.   It’s not too late – you can contact me up till midday to register and class starts at 1.30pm.

If you cant make today maybe you’d like to book a workshop in October and this could be your make and take – simply contact me to arrange your date and I’ll get a party pack to you as soon as possible.

Thanks for stopping by ..

Good Morning.

I hope you are having a lovely Christmas weekend and sharing it with loved ones – this time of year truly makes us grateful for those still with us and grateful for the memories we have with those no longer here.  I’m grateful to have spent this past week with my sister and my Dad and their friends and family.  We havent had Christmas together in quite a number of years so it’s been a real blessing to be here.

Today I have a card we made recently in the Remarkable You Stamp A Stack …

This is such a quick and easy card to do.

Here’s what I did …

  1. I simply stamped the Lily image in black and coloured the stamens
  2. I daubered a little yellow around the stamens.
  3. I masked my flowers and then lightly sponged all over in blue.
  4. Stamp the greeting in Basic Black and then adhered the layers.

Told you it was quick and easy!

Have you tried masking?  It’s very easy and I’d love to show you how!  Contact me to book into my masking class coming in January or to arrange your own party or workshop for you and your friends.

Thanks for stopping by and see you latte ….

Oh Christmas Tree

Dont you hate it when you put off or schedule to do things later online and bundle certain tasks together that all need to be done online only to find when you go to do them online there is a service outtage so no access to internet?  and no they didnt even know it was down till we rang and sorry not sure how long.

How would we be if our boss asked us to do something and we replied no cant do it now and not sure when I can get it done.  I know it’s first world problems but in this day and technology age you’d think they’d have systems in place to notify them that service is down and what the issue is or could be.

Not to worry I’m back online (yay!) and not putting off those things I’d had planned for yesterday …. two orders in and here I am blogging! Next on the agenda is a couple of newsletters so stay tuned for those!

Today I have my last card for my Lots of Joy Christmas Stamp A Stack ….

I do love how this card turned out and it’s one I cased from the lovely Diana Gibbs.  I had the pleasure of meeting Di on the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip on the Carribbean Cruise in 2014 – she is such a sweet sweet lady!

The products I used for this card are …

  • Now see under the products listed there’s a ‘supply list’ link?  You can download that list and save it for when you want to place an order – how cool is that?

Now speaking of Christmas we have our new Holiday Catalogue starting on 1st September and it’s jam packed full of Christmas goodies and it just so happens I got my Catalogue order yesterday so if you’d like a copy be sure to let me know! You can add a comment on this post or click here to email me … or the  phone works too – well now it does!

    Remember ….

  • This week’s weekly deals finish tonight
  • Place an order of $60 or more and receive a free gift (use Hostess Code D2TJEYSQ)
  • Join my Stampin’ Up! team and select items from Holiday Catalogue in August before they go live!

Lots of … Baubles

Well the weekend flew by didn’t it?  If only it was longer I’d get so much more done!

Sunday I held my first Christmas Stamp A Stack and we used the gorgeous new Lots of Joy Stamp Set.

Lot’s of Joy ($33 CM $47 WM)

It’s a wonderful set with so many possibilities!

I made this quick and easy card with the Bauble Stamp ….

The girls loved how quick and easy this card was and you could make it with many different colour combinations!  Here’s what I used …

Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

I’ve been doing Stamp A Stack Classes for years and decided it was time for a revamp.   Previously, I’d make three themed cards using various sets and products.  I’m now concentrating on doing the three cards using the one stamp set or product to show the versatility of our stamps or products.

Be sure to pop back to see the other cards the girls made at the Stamp A Stack.  Once they’ve all been blogged you’ll be able to purchase the kits with tutorials to complete at your leisure – or get the tutorials for free when you purchase the Lot’s of Joy Stamp Set from me.

A little Christmas Cheer

I’m sitting here still wondering how we are already in December!

Yesterday I started my 12 days of Christmas emails – it’s simply a short and sweet email offering a different gift idea each day for 12 days.  I thought it might help some who are crafty and dont know what they want for Christmas or those who have crafty friends and dont know what to buy them.  If you arent on my mailing list maybe now is the time to join – simply pop your email address in the box in the sidebar.  I offer all sorts of specials to my subscribers and sent out my monthly class schedule as well.

Recently I had the Christmas Mega Stack where the ladies made 20 cards in 3 hours and we sure had a lot of fun.

Christmas Cheer
Christmas Cheer

I love this card! It’s so easy and the ladies loved this card.  It uses Cheerful Christmas Stamp Set and all I’ve done is simply coloured the stamp with my Stampin’ Write Markers and then stamped it onto the card, add some pearls and a ribbon and done!  The markers I used were Real Red, Pear Pizzazz and Crushed Curry.

Santa Sleigh
Santa Sleigh

This is another super quick and super easy card. Each year I tend to do a ‘moon silhouette’ card as everyone loves the masking effect and it teaches them a new technique. You simply punch out a circle from a post-it note and sponge over the top. Once the circle is removed you have instant sky and moon!  Then you simply ink up the sleigh stamp in Lost Lagoon and stamp it partially over the moon.

I also named this my ‘ET Christmas Card‘!

The sentiment is from Good Greetings which was a special Hostess offer in October.  To give Rudolph his red nose I simply coloured one of our small pearls with a light Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities marker, let it dry (which only takes seconds) and then placed that on the card.  I also stamped the sleigh on the envelope cos we cant send out naked envelopes now can we?  Besides it will brighten up the posties day 😉

Thanks for stopping by and if you’d like to do the Christmas Mega Stack I’m running it again on 14th December – 20 cards (notecard size) for $25!  You can also do this class for free with a minimum order so be sure to ask how!

Now seeing it’s December and it’s the month of ‘giving’ I’m giving everyone free shipping on orders of $75 or more … so work on that list, check it twice and make sure there is something really nice under that tree for you!

Thanks for stopping by ….
