Papillon Trio

Well Winter is making it’s presence felt is it not?  The last few days have been super chilly here and the cooler temperatures are not doing my knees any good hence why I know its only 26 days till I jet out for Salt Lake City compliments of Stampin’ Up! – but I’m not counting!  I am, however, really looking forward to some warmer weather!  Mind you in 28 days I may be whining about how hot it is there!

This is the third card from my Latte Stamp  A Stack the other week and its a case of a card done by fellow demonstrator Jan McAnulty.  It is this week’s Thursday Time Out.

Stamps: Papillon Potpourri, Itty Bitty Banners, Everything Eleanor
Inks: Midnight Muse, Versamrk, Raspberry Ripple
Paper: Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals (C’ordination), Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Patio Party DSP
Accessories: Big Shot, Hexagon Embossing Folder, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Sanding Block, White Bakers Twine, Basic Pearl Jewels

I love this card and although it has many elements it is still quite easy to do.  Making this card showed the girls a few different ways to use their Embossing Folders and Framelits.  As you can see we only partially embossing the Primrose layer and used the Framelit to create a decorative tag – looks a bit like an Indian Temple doesnt it? Easy to do when you know how and I’d love to show you – I might even take the splurge and make a video for you!  Now I did say ‘might’!

Now when I was editing the above photo I thought the card looked a little plain so here are a couple of ways to ‘step it up’ if you’d like to.

Firstly, let’s add a few more pearls ….

What about some sweet little flowers …

I do hope you like this card and my little variations – I would love to show you how to create this card if you’d like to book a party in August.

Dont forget the new Catalogue starts in July so be sure you get your copy from me before I leave for overseas – or you can pre-order one for just $9.95 including shipping. Just contact me with your payment details and I’ll get one in the post for you and I’ll even include a special ‘thank you’ voucher!

Please feel free to share this post on facebook or twitter and tell your friends about my ‘Thursday Time Out” newsletter.

Trust God

Well … I know many of my friends who live by these words!

One such friend has been trusting God for her healing from three cancers! She is a young mum with 2 little girls and over the last few months has gone through some heavy Chemotherapy and through this treatment and a lot or prayer her cancer has shrunk! Bec is a young mum of two little girls so we praise God for her continued healing.

Last year many of my friends were praying and Trusting God for healing for my lifelong friend Judy-Ann. She too had cancer and an aggressive tumor on her stomach. In November God did answer our prayers and took Judy-Ann home to Heaven to be with Him – it was the only way He could heal her and take away her pain and now she lives in Glory with Him!

Here’s a card that I so loved making and can see me making quite a few more!

Stamps: Trust God, Serene Silhouettes, Papillion Potpourri
Paper: Early Espresso, Baja Breeze, Naturals White
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze
Accessories: Big Shot, Fancy Fan TIEF, Apothecary Accent Framelits, Old Olive Stampin Write Marker, Baha Breeze Stampin Write Marker, Stampin Sponges, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Linen Thread, Stampin Dimensionals

This card is just so easy to do – even those who have never stamped before can make this with ease! I would love to show you just how easy it is to make and all you have to do is to invite a few friends over and I’ll bring everything we need to make this card and have some fun in the process!

Here’s an ‘up-close’ of the little butterfly – she’s actually two layers of wings …..

I have also been praying and Trusting God for something else but I’ll share that in a few days when I get the ‘official‘ word!

Dont forget Sale-a-bration finishes on 22nd March so to grab your free Sale-a-bration goodies you’ll need your orders and payments to me by that date.

Good Afternoon!

Here’s a card that was cased from the lovely Mary Fish from Stampin’ Pretty and was one we made at this month’s Stamp A Stack ….

Stamps: Curly Cute
Paper: Summer Starfruit, Whisper White, Print Poetry DSP Stack,
Ink: Raspberry Ripple
Accessories: Big Shot, Honeycomb TIEF, Paper Snips, Summer Starfruit Satin Stitched ribbon

I thought this would be a great easy card for the girls to do however it is a little time consuming – just as well the other two cards we made were very quick and easy!  They do so love to cut out too – well maybe except for one or two!

Be sure you have signed up for updates when I post on my blog as I have some super huge specials coming in March! You can sign up in the sidebar by just popping in your email address and click submit and you’re done.

Thanks for stopping by and supporting my Stampin’ Up! business.

Delicate Flourishes

Happy Friday to You!!   It’s the end of the week and I have another busy weekend coming up – how about you??   I have been invited to go to a 10 Year Old girls’ Birthday Party tomorrow to do the craft project so I’m a bit excited yet anxious as well – I’ve invited my trusty friend Libby along to help out as I’m not sure how I’ll cope with 13 Ten Year Olds all wanting the same punch at the same time!  It might be the best Party I ever do – we will see!

Here’s a very quick and easy card that I cased from one I saw on Pinterest. I made a few of these and sent them out to some customers and friends this week and the girls made it at the Stamp A Stack last Saturday as well ….

Stamps: Made for You, Flowering Flourishes
Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Raspberry Ripple
Accessories: Big Shot, Delicate Designs Embossing Folder, Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon, Basic Rhinestone Jewels.

This card is an extra ‘queasy’ card! Single layer, pop it in the Big Shot, Stamp, Tie your ribbon around and pop on your jewels and you’re done!  Way too easy yet so very elegant! How nice would it be to receive a boxed set of these??  Hmm I might have to do that myself!

The Delicate Designs folder pack is just gorgeous with two borders inside its great value for just $15.95!

Actually, one of my customer’s who received this card in the post rang to thank me and commented on what a lovely card it was. I’m looking forward to seeing her at my next Stamp A Stack as I haven’t seen her for a while due to some family commitments.

Hope you like today’s card and if you’d like to make this card or a couple of cards like this then please be sure to contact me and save the date for your Party!

I do hope you are managing to keep dry this weekend as we have Flood Warnings all down the East coast of Australia – and to think it was only a couple of weeks ago I was asking for prayers for all the Bush Fires we were having here … gotta love the extremes of Australian weather in the summer time!

Live in the Sunshine

Well what a hot one it was yesterday and I dont even want to imagine how much hotter it would have been if it werent for the cloud cover we had.  I pray all my friends in Australia remained safe and as cool as possible.  Forecast was for 42C and it got to 41C here … so very grateful for the cooler day today – forecast 27C and its currently 24C.  For my Northern Hemisphere friends 42C is equivalent to 108F.

I thought this card would brighten your day and while its nice to “Live in the Sunshine” I do think 42C is too much ‘sunshine’!

Stamps: Betsy’s Blossoms, Pursuit of Happiness
Paper: Old Olive, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White, Floral District DSP

Hoot-iful Christmas

I just love Christmas and all the giving and celebrating the birth of Jesus and all that entails however what I do not like about Christmas is  all the rushing around and the ‘busyness’ of the season which results in the pain I’m feeling today .  I really should learn to do more of my shopping online and therefore reduce my pain and fatigue that is part of Fibromyalgia. Although I think its a wee late to be finishing my Christmas shopping online now.  There’s always next year lol!!

Another thing about Christmas I do love is all the gorgeous decorations and lights and making Christmas cards as the handmade ones just mean so much more than a store bought one – well to me they do 🙂  Buying your stamps and accessories from me not only supports me and my family but it also brings joy to those you give your handmade cards to!

Here’s one I loved making recently ….

Have a ‘Hoot’-iful Christmas

Inks: Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Real Red

I just love this Owl Occasions Stamp Set … it comes with 14 stamps to cover you for both Christmas and Birthday and it’s just so much fun to use! You can find it in the Holiday Catalogue and looks a bit like this ….

Owl Occasions

This set is a must if you have a teenage daughter that loves owls … ask me how I know?? lol

Now dont forget we have the Clearance Rack Blitz happening and some of the items are selling out fast!

Also, if you place an order of $100 or more receive a $10 gift voucher to use on your next order!  It’s my little Christmas Present to you!

I hope you have a ‘hoot’-iful Christmas and if you pop back tomorrow I’ll share another gorgeous card made with this stamp set!

Christmas Wishes

You’d better go grab yourself a cuppa now as this post has a few things in it and I think you may need a little sustenance to keep you reading to the end of the post!  I have a new card to share, details for my Christmas Wish List offer and details of the Latte Christmas Essentials!  hmm you might need some chocolate too!

First things First … the card!

Today’s card is one I’ve combined the Watercolor Winter Set with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder and the Labels Framelits with a dash of the More Merry Messages Stamp set.

Christmas Flowers

Stamps: Watercolor Winter, More Merry Messages
Paper: Shimmery White Cardstock
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Ridinghood Red
Accessories: Big Shot, Lacy Brocade TIEF, Labels Framelits, Paper Snips, Stamp-a-majig, Basic Jewels Rhinestones, Stampin Dimensionals

I am so in love with the Shimmery White Cardstock – it just lifts a card so so much with its gorgeous subtle Shimmer! This card is such a queasy card and it will be included in this Saturday’s Stamp A Stack. So if you’d like to make this card and a couple of other designs please contact me to book your spot!

Christmas is coming ….

Now if you are anything like me you always end up buying or organising your own Christmas present and really it takes all the surprise out of Christmas day when you know what you’re going to get and whats been wrapped and under the tree for a few weeks. The suspense and excitement of Christmas morning is a bit lacking for you. So I have a plan for you to get that excitement, suspense and joy back into your Christmas morning!

What do I have to do?

I have a downloadable Christmas Wish List which you download and print out … fill it out and email the list to me.

You can then give your copy to your husband, spouse, sister, brother, mother, father, daughter, girl at the checkout at Woollies or anyone that might buy you a gift.  They can then contact me and say they want to buy you a gift or gifts and they can either pick some of the items you’ve written on your list or just say “I want to spend $150 on Kerri” and we’ll arrange payment and I’ll do the rest. Payment details can be found at the bottom of the downloadable form which you can get here or by clicking on the Santa Bear in the sidebar on the left. I also do gift vouchers for any occasion so if you’d like one of these please ring or email me to arrange it!

I’ll place the order and have it ship to me, I’ll wrap the gifts and then send them to your house to be placed under the tree!

Now you have gifts you dont know what they are and you’ll be all excited on Christmas morning!

Greetings of the Season

How are you liking the Holiday Catalogue?

Can you believe we are half way through it already??

I really love all the stamps and products in it and the variety. I know not everyone celebrates Halloween or Thanksgiving here in Australia but its still nice to have the option of purchasing the stamps and accessories if we want to!

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of demonstrating in the Product Playground at the Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt event in Sydney. I was asked to make samples using particular products and stamps and one set was the Watercolor Winter set in the Holiday Catalogue. Now its not a set I would have purchased normally but have been loving using it over the last few weeks!

Here’s one of my samples …

It’s a case of a card I found on the lovely Dawn Olchefske’s blog – I did actually have a couple of ladies there on Saturday ask me just how I did the background of this card and I was happy they noticed it was a little bit different and shared Dawn’s technique with them.

I’ve actually used the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder as a ‘stamp’ and here’s how it’s done …

  1. Ink up your brayer with Versamark (make it nice and inky)
  2. Brayer the Versamark all over one side of the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (I used the raised pattern side) and give it a really good covering.
  3. place your piece of cardstock on the non brayered side and close the folder then brayer as hard as you can and all over to make sure you dont miss any part of the folder. You should brayer the ‘backside’ of the side of the folder you put the Versamark on the inside. (oh i hope that makes sense)
  4. Open your folder and the pattern will reveal itself as the Versamark ink soaks into the Cardstock.
  5. Go wash your folder cos its now all sticky from the Versamark ink!

I love this technique and love the subtle pattern that comes out – just another way to use those folders and that is why they are now this month’s Latte Essentials Product of the Month for November!  I know I’m starting this one late so this Latte Essentials will go until the 15th December!  So over the next 4 weeks I’ll be showing you different ways to use your Textured Impressions Embossing Folders!

Here’s the deal for the Latte Essentials Club ….

  • Purchase any 5 Textured Impressions Embossing Folders and get the sixth one free!!
  • Place an order of $81 (before shipping and handling) or more and receive one Textured Impressions Embossing Folder free! Why $81?  Cos it’s my Dad’s 81st birthday on Saturday!

So grab your Catalogues and head to page 189 to see all the gorgeous Textured Impressions Embossing Folders to choose from and don’t forget to check out the three new ones in the Holiday Catalogue as well!  You can ring or email your orders to me and pay by Credit Card, PayPal or Bank Transfer!
