Festive Friday Planner

Good Morning and welcome to another Festive Friday Challenge!

Now with all the rushing I had to do in December to be ready for Christmas I am working on the theory that its never to early to start planning for Christmas!  So when Nicole asked me to join her Festive Friday Design Team I just jumped at the chance cos I really do need all the help I can get!

So for this week’s challenge I created my Christmas Planner – it was also a great way to use up some of the leftover ‘Letters to Santa’ Designer Series Paper pack!

Christmas Planner

Santa fits rather nicely on the front dont you think?  I even used the ‘naughty or nice’ image on my belly band that holds it all together to keep the image on the right spot when its all closed up.

So lets open up the planner ….

I’ve slid the belly band off and opened the front to reveal out little ‘petite pocket’ to house all our receipts we need for all the gifts for Christmas – this way you’ll know exactly where to find the receipt when those board shorts dont fit the nephew or that cardy just is not Granny’s colour!

Here we have the planner completely open. I also used the Letters to Santa Accents to decorate my pockets and pop the labels on.  I’ve got little lists in each pocket for Gift Ideas, Christmas Card List, and a Gift List.  Its a good idea to start your Christmas Card list early so you know how many you’ll need to send out at Christmas and then we can do a few each month so we arent in a tizzy 2 weeks before Christmas cos you dont have enough cards!  A little like me last December!!

I do hope you like my little planner and if you’d like to purchase the tutorial then please click on the paypal link below and the file will be sent to you.

Be sure to pop over to Nicole’s blog to check out what the other girls have created for this week’s challenge and to play along!

Sale•a•Bration Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the ESAD Sale•a•Bration Blog Hop

What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for “Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators” and it is an on-line group just for Australian and New Zealand Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators.

We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors, but we share our love for what we do with each other as demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know-how, and cyberstamps, and we are always there to help and support each other when it is needed.

So if you are a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand, then please feel free to click here to join our wonderful group.

You should have arrived here from Jacinta’s Blog but dont stress if you havent – just keep going till you get back to me!

Now onto my project ….

Enchanted Mini Album

I am a little bit excited about sharing this album today – not just because of the gorgeous Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper  and the Vintage Foliage Sale•a•bration sets, or that you can get both of those for free during Sale•a•bration but also cos this little mini album is the first one I’ve designed myself!

If you have a close look on the above picture you may see the little danglies I created with the ribbon & brad pack which is also available through Sale•a•bration!  Here’s a close-up for you …

I’ve just taken a brad and bent back the backs and tied the ribbon around the backs – cute hey?

Now lets open the album ….

I love this paper!!  I love how the paper matches the Stamp set perfectly and how Stampin’ Up! use their own colours to make it easy for us to match cardstock, inks and ribbons!  The sentiment on the right page is from the Summer Solstice stamp set.

Here I’ve popped in a photo matt on the left and a couple tags on the right for journalling.  I’ve popped a simple slit in the centre of the right page to slot the tags into.  I’ve used the Vanilla Satin ribbon with a piece of the pool party ruffled ribbon on top and embellished that with a couple of the brads from the Sale•a•bration Ribbon & Brad pack.

Full view of tags

I can see how very versatile this stamp set is going to be – from main images like the one on the front cover to backgrounds and borders! I used the same stamp on the tabs of the tags!

Same stamp again on the matt and the sentiment on the right as is used in this sheet of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper. Sentiment on the right is from the Hostess Stamp set Faith in Nature which you earn for free just by holding a Stampin’ Up! demonstration.

For the final pages I’ve just popped on two mats with coordinating ruffled ribbon.  You could used these for putting on a single photo, a collage of photo’s or some journaling – whatever you wish!

I do hope you like my little album and if you’d like to make this at a class please let me know as I’ll be scheduling them during February & March.

Now to continue on the blog hop you need to hop over to Alisa’s lovely blog and see what gorgeousness she has creating for your view pleasure :)

In case there are some broken links along the way here is a complete list of all the lovely ESAD ladies involved in the blog hop – now dont forget to leave the girls some comment love as well.

Hope you enjoy all the lovely goodies you see through the blog hop and if you wish to book your own demonstration or place an order please dont hesitate to contact me – as a special bonus for all ‘hoppers’ I am offering free postage on all orders of $100 or more from today to 31st January, 2012.

Post-It holders

Friday was the last day of school here in Sydney for 2011 and that means Teacher’s Gifts!

I wanted to do something a little more than just a box of chocolates so I made some post-it note holders and Caitie made some Whoopie Pies to pop in with the chocolates.

Here’s all the Post-It note holders I made using the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper Pack which will be part of the freebies for next year’s Sale•a•bration!

Actually the one of the bottom right uses paper from the Timeless Portrait Designer Series Paper pack.  I’ve popped in some Stampin’ Up! pens I picked up at Memento Mall at the Stampin’ Up! Convention in Melbourne.

Here’s a pic of a single Post It Note Holder ..

How nice is this paper?? I’m sorry to say that you wont be able to buy it … but I’m very happy to say that you can earn it for FREE during Sale•a•bration! There is also a gorgeous stamp set that matches the design on this paper – now you’re getting excited arent you??

Here’s the inside of the holder …

Comes complete with 2012 calendar!

The teachers were all wrapped with their gifts and here’s to 2012 and also means both girls will be in the same school with Emily starting High School – now just where did my babies go??

If you would like more information about Sale•a•bration! or to book a workshop in during the Sale•a•bration! period which goes from 24th January to 31st March 2012 then please contact me today to arrange your copy of the Sale•a•bration! Catalogue or book your date.

Perfectly Plum for Mum

With just 11 days left of March Sale•A•Bration I thought it was a good opportunity to share a card I cased from the lovely LeeAnn Gref - she makes some very lovely cards.

As soon as I saw this card I knew I had to case it. One of the ladies attending my sister’s Stamp A Stack tomorrow asked for a Mother’s Day card so I thought this was just perfect ….

Now what’s not to love about this card??

  • I love doing the ruffled/gathered ribbon
  • I love the patterns in the DSP Paper Stacks
  • I love purple/plum/eggplant
  • I love free stamps during Sale•A•Bration

The set used in this card is the Sweet Summer from the Sale•A•Bration catalogue – its just so useful and really all you have to do is change the sentiment and this card would fit any occasion at all!

If you would like this set – or any of the other Sale•A•Bration stamp set then be sure to get your order to me as soon as possible and dont forget I’m giving a 10% discount on all order from now till the end of March.

I am also offering a special bonus to anyone booking a Demonstration in April & May – I have a bonus free stamp set to the first four to contact me and book in a date.

So if you want more free stamps then please be sure to email or ring me to book your Demonstration in – but remember the free stamps only go to the first four!

Well I hope the ladies tomorrow like this card as much as I do!

I’ve cut up all the kits for tomorrow so now I’m off for a little siesta – well it is Sunday and therefore a day of rest!

Easter Gift Class

With the new year (yeah I know we are now in March) I have decided to run more classes from my home – you can find all my upcoming events by clicking on my Demonstrator Website picture over on the right or by clicking on “Events” in the menu above.

Each month I’ll be holding two ‘gift’ classes – one will be themed (this month its Easter) and the other will be just a general Gift class where you will make a gift item.

The idea of these classes is that you will have a themed gift for a special day or holiday and the general gift class is so that by the time Christmas comes around you should have 9 or 10 gifts ready to go and therefore saving you a little stress at the peak of the ‘silly season’ or you can choose to use it for someone’s birthday or a ‘just because’ gift.

Should you not be able to attend  I will make available the instructions and kits for you to purchase.  However if you are local and just cant make it on the day let me know and I’ll schedule a 2nd class if I get the numbers.

Easter Gift Class

This class will be held at my house on 25th March at 10.30am and here is what we’ll be making ….

How cool would it be to not have to go and buy all those little gift bags and such that add so much money to what we spend at Easter.

In this class you’ll make

  • Treat Basket (two are shown here in the picture one using Sweet and Sour Specialty DSP and the other smaller one in Blueberry Crisp DSP)
  • Bronwen’s gorgeous little Egg basket
  • My little Lop Bunny Box

Here’s a closer view ….

These are the two Treat Baskets I’ve made – you will be making the smaller one. Looks can be decieving as they hold so many eggs!  You will get instructions for both sizes to recreate at home

This is a gorgeous little egg basket designed by my lovely friend Bronwen Cornish who so graciously shared the project with me.  Yes I’ll teach you how to make those roses – they are divine and easy to do!

Last but not least  …..

This is my little Lop Bunny Box – isnt she just cute and she’s made using our punches! I thought the Lop was a nice alternative to the regular Easter Bunnies that are made this time of year.

Class Details

Date:  25th March, 2011
Time:  10.30am
Cost:  $20 (deposit of $10 payable on booking)

Places are limited so please book your spot today so you dont miss out!

Be sure to pop back tomorrow to see this month’s ‘Gift Class’ details.

Owl its cute!

Yesterday I showed one of the make n take’s for Janene’s workshop last month well today I want to share one of the items I demonstrated and then gave the hostess as a ‘Thank You’ gift.

Whenever I do a Workshop I always give whatever I make at the demonstration to the Hostess and I havent met a Hostess yet that doesnt like that idea!

I wanted to show how versatile the little Sale•A•Bration Punch Bunch set was so I made a little gift set.  I had seen the thank you cards Dawn Griffiths was making for her orders for February and thought they’d be perfect!

How cute is this little set?

Very quick and easy to do with just one Sale•A•Bration stamp set and a couple of punches!

These can be done using the lovely little 3×3 cards – you can cut 6 from one sheet of A4 or 8 from a piece of 12×12! You can also purchase envelopes the perfect size for these little cards and you get 40 in a pack for just $11.95 – bargain!

The little bag was made using the Scallped envelope die in  the Big Shot machine – that die is just so versatile everyone should have one!

The sentiments on the cards come from the So Happy for You Sale•A•Bration stamp set.

How would you like to receive lovely little gifts like this? Well contact me today to book in your workshop and I’ll make this for you too or something similar! Workshops are fun and free and I’d love to come and share some stamping fun with you and your friends.

If you are new to stamping and want to learn more (and who doesnt?) then I have the “Lets Start Stamping” class this Wednesday (9th March) so ring me today and book your spot – all my upcoming classes are on my events calender so click on the “Events” tab up the top or click here

If you havent subscribed to my newsletter please feel free to do so as I include special offers to subscribers. This month’s being a 10% discount on all orders via email or telephone so now you can get more for your money. So if there is something you’d like and have been waiting for a special then now is the time!  You still only need to spend $100 value to earn a Sale•A•Bration set and it will only cost you $90! Ring or Email me today with your order!

Builder Sketch

Well hello and welcome to another Utah Diva Sketch Challenge albeit a little late.

Here is this week’s sketch ….

Diva Sketch Challenge 126

This week’s sketch really had me stumped for a while and I’d seen so many cards lately with the swirly plant image from the Sweet Summer Sale•A•Bration set that I wanted to use it before Sale•A•Bration is over!

This past week I received my Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue pre-order and I thought I’d sneak the two gorgeous Builder Wheels I got in my pre-order into this card.

That is one of the best things about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is that not only do you get the catalogues one month before release but you can also place a pre-order from that catalogue so you have plenty of time to make lots of delish samples to show your blog readers and customers.

I will have lots of more samples to come over the upcoming weeks but for now here is today’s card …

Builder Bliss

Now after making the card I shared on Thursday I had to use my Itty Bitty Shapes Punches again and thought this time I’d team them up with the Bitty Buttons.  I saw this colour combination on Gretchen Barron’s site this past week and immediately fell in love so saved it for my memory bank so to speak.

From the photo you cant see the buttons so well but they really do make the card pop.

The strips I stamped with the Builder Wheels are Delight in Gladness in Melon Mambo and Butterfly Bliss in Peach Parfait. I just added some strips in Old Olive and Melon Mambo which I ran through the Crimper.

The more I look at this card I do like it more and more!

Now the next person in the Diva Sketch Challenge list is the lovely Ruthie B so be sure to pop by her blog and see what lovely creation she has made this week!

You can find the links to all the Sketching Divas over at the Utah Divas Blog

Sweet Summer Moments

Well we’ve definitely had some summer moments here in the last week! Here in Sydney its been the hottest week in 85 years and today was a shocker with 41°C – thats 105.8°F for my American friends. Way too hot for this Diva!

When I saw this weeks sketch I freaked – circles ugh … but … not to let the team down I changed it a little. During the week I also saw Gretchen’s Diva Colour Challenge and thought why not combine the two?? They are such purty Colours!

So here’s this week’s Utah Divas Sketch challenge …

and here is the Utah Diva’s Colour Challenge …

now arent they pretty colours???

Now for my card ….

dsc121fluttermoments

As you can see I still did use a couple of circles. Thats the great thing about sketch challenges – you can ‘interpret’ them how you feel and my poor Beautiful Wings Embosslit has been feeling a little neglected of late so I used that as well.

The flowers come from the lovely Sale•A•Bration set Sweet Summer which I got for free this week just by ordering $100 worth of Stampin’ Up! products. Gotta love free stamps! So if you’d like this Sweet Summer set or one of the other Sale•A•Bration stamp sets you can email or phone your order through to me – you’ll get one free set for every $100 you order.

Maybe youre thinking you’d like to try this Stampin’ Up! Business opportunity for yourself and if so now is the time to join. If you join during Sale•A•Bration you will receive a bonus free stamp set from the Idea Book & Catalogue to the value of $79.95 and I’ll also give you a Sale•A•Bration set of your choice plus a bonus ‘joining’ gift from me.

Have Questions? need more details? then feel free to contact me or check out the information online by clicking on the “Join my Team” button in the menu up the top. You can join online so there are no forms to fill out and send off – the hardest part of joining is deciding what stamp sets and inks to choose!

Now its time to skip over to the lovely RuthieB‘s blog and check out her lovely creation for this sketch and here’s the full list of all the Utah Divas Sketch Design team …

Take a Sip

I’ve mentioned before how much I love to make cards from a sketch and when I saw the latest one from the lovely Makeesha on her Inkspirations Blog I had to have a play.

Now I had a design in mind for this sketch and I knew what images I wanted to use but seeing they were on a Stampin’ Round Wheel I had a few problems getting a single cup image on the squares and after trying for an hour I decided to give in and contemplated taking the rubber off the wheel and cutting it up.

So after a little deliberation this is exactly what I did!  So now my Take a Sip Wheel looks like this ….

I think the images will come in quite handy like this and to replace the wheel its only going to cost $11.95. All I did was to pop a bit of snail adhesive on the back of the stamp and popped it on an acrylic block to stamp. I simply just rubbed the snail off the block after use using the Adhesive Remover.

Here is my card ….

Recipe
Stamps
: Take A Sip, Great Friend
Paper: Concord Crush, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Lap of Luxury DSP
Ink: Concord Crush
Accessories: Stampin Write Markers, Pretty in Pink Taffeta, Big Shot, Lots of Tags sizzlets,

Vintage Bliss

Well its been a crazy week and we’ve arrived at another Saturday and that means another Utah Diva Sketch Challenge.

Here is this week’s sketch …

Diva Sketch 119As soon as I saw this sketch I knew what I wanted to do and that was a gatefold card – I just had to decide on what stamp set and colours to use.

Now I need to warn Carol to sit down …. this week I didnt rotate the sketch or anything!!

I fell in love with this set as soon as I saw it and whats even better is you can earn it for free during Saleabration!

I just love that butterfly!

I really love any colour combination with brown and the bashful blue and soft suede go so well together.  This card didnt turn out how I had visioned it in my head but I had a couple of hurdles today so I hope you like what I’ve created.

I love making gatefold cards as they are a little different from a regular card in the opening and so easy  to make. Also, when someone receives one of these cards they just get the loveliest smile on their face.

Bliss Gate open

This last picture shows the card open and as you can see the three little flowers in the top left of the card.  The adhesive pearls go so well on this card and just lift it to such an elegant card.

I do hope you like what I’ve made and now its time to click over to the next Sketchy Diva being Ruthie B!

Here’s a list of all the Sketchy Diva’s …

Enjoy visiting all the Diva’s blogs and checking out their creations and please feel free to play along with the Sketch Challenge please feel free to do so and pop a link in a comment here so I can share it with the other Diva’s.

Dont forget any stamp set you purchase for $30 or more Stampin’ Up! will donate $2 to the Queensland State Emergency Services to help with the relief appeal for the Queensland Floods.
