Hanging Stockings

I have a busy weekend coming up with not one but two Stamp A Stacks and both ladies wanted cards with the Stitched Stockings & Stocking Tag Punch so I thought I’d make a new card to share with them.

I have seen a couple of  cards recently and I wanted to combine a couple of the elements into the one card. So this is a result of the cards I saw from Jackie Bolhuis and Belinda Tubby – thanks ladies for the inspiration!

Here is my card ….

I love how this turned out and I’m happy too as I managed to use up some of my retired Designer SEries Paper!!

How cute are those mini Brads?? They are going to be perfect for alot of new cards where the other brads were too much or too big.

I hope you like my card and now I best be off and finish the kits for the weekend … just have to cut enough cardstock to make 30 of these little cards!!

Now dont forget when you hold a workshop and your sales reach $450 then you can get this stamp set and the matching punch absolutely free!! Now dont stress – if you still want the punch & stamp set you can purchase them during the month of October :)

Item Description Price
125798 Stitched Stocking Wood-Mount Set $53.95
123784 Stitched Stocking Clear-Mount Set $42.95
124095 Stocking Tag Punch $33.95

Christmas Fire

Yesterday I told you about this month’s promotion and shared my ‘Baby’s First Christmas’ card and said I had a few more to share so today I’m sharing the next card with you.

Now in Australia our Christmas is stifling hot and therefore we dont have a fire at Christmas or snow on the trees but I couldnt resist making this card with the new Stitched Stockings Stamp Set and coordinating punch. I suppose with no fire in the fireplace Santa isnt going to burn his butt when he slips down the chimney hey?

I just loved making this card!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Stitched Stockings, Texture Jumbo Wheel
Inks: Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Elegant Eggplant, Lucky Limeade, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Regals Patterns DSP Stack, Sahara Sand, More Mustard, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla
Accessories: 2 Step Bird Punch, Paper Trimmer, Bone Scorer, Stampin Sponges, Jumbo Stampin Round Handle, 1 3/4″ Circle Punch, Paper Snips

I would love to show you this card and if you’d like to book a workshop for you and your friends then please dont hesitate to contact me!  If your workshop sales reach $450 you can then get the Stitched Stockings stamp set and coordinating punch absolutely free!!

Now as a bonus for my customers anyone who purchases the Stitched Stockings Stamp Set and coordinating Stocking Tag Punch from me during October will receive a special “Stockings” project sheet with instructions on how to make this card and two other cards using the Stamp Set and Punch.

Here’s the prices and codes for the sets and punch …

Item Description Price
125798 Stitched Stocking Wood-Mount Set $53.95
123784 Stitched Stocking Clear-Mount Set $42.95

Come in Spinner!

I recently joined a Crafters Community called Crafters Anonymous – a rather fitting name for some of us dont you think??

Now they run classes online there each week and the first class I did was last week Monday.  They give you a list of the things you’ll need including cardstock/papers and the sizes they need to be. You dont know what youre making until class – well you didnt with this one.

I must say it was rather fun making my first ‘blind’ card at an online class and it turned out to be a spinner card – I’ve seen these for years but never really got around to making one before.

Here is my card ….

When I selected the colours for the card I decided to find a piece of scrap designer series paper the right size I needed and then choose the coordinating cardstock & inks from that and a stamp set to match. I did have to play around a bit with the punched out circle as the balloon I chose for the spinner isnt round – rude I know!

Have you noticed??  yessssss boy colours!!  Wonders never cease!

I thought it was about time I pulled out the Party This Way set as it was what we received at Convention last year and with only 10 days till Convention in Melbourne I thought it really needed another inking!

I do hope you like this card – it was alot of fun to make!

Oh dear … only 10 days till 2011 Stampin’ Up! Convention in Melbourne – I think I’d better get cracking on those swaps!

Diva Cupcake

Well … look at this two posts in 12 hours!!

I had to pop back in and share this week’s Utah Divas Sketch Challenge Card and I promise not as many photo’s as this morning’s post!

Here is this week’s sketch …

Easy enough hey??

I went a little different with this one and made a gate fold card – I love doing gate fold cards as they are so easy but just that little bit special.

As I was doing my Garden Journal yesterday I thought I’d highlight a couple of products from the Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue so I immediately thought of the Create a Cup Cake set and matching cupcake punch – too easy!

Here’s my card …

I actually demonstrated this at today’s workshop and showed just how easy it all goes together and so quickly.  Having a matching punch to punch out your stamped images makes life (and making cards) so so easy.

Here’s a photo showing how the card opens …

I loved making this card and it came together so quickly to – gotta love those cards!

If you’d like to see this card or punch in action then contact me today to book in your workshop. If you book in before the end of June I’ll also give all your attendees a handout on different ways to use this punch and all the different things you can make with it from handbags to hot air balloons!  If you cant attend a workshop but purchase the Create a Cupcake Stamp Set and Punch in the one purchase before the end of May I will also include this instruction sheet. So email or ring me today to book in your workshop or place your order.

Now its time to click along to the next designing Diva being the lovely Ruthie Burkey – oh you gotta see what she made – its oarsome!

Why dont you play along and create a card with this sketch too? Just pop a link in the comments to this post and I’ll feature it for you!

Wheely Nice Cuppa

On Thursday I shared with you the new Builder Wheels and how you can use two with the spacers & spindle. Today I’m going to share a card I made using just one of the Builder Wheels and the cute little Share a Cup stamp.

So this is what you get when you combine the new Builder Wheel, the big Shot and a little coffee ….

Card Recipe
Stamps: Share a Cup, Thoughtful Friend Builder Wheel, Itty Bitty Bits
Paper: Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Ink: Blushing Bride, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso
Accessories: Big Shot, Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Real Red 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon,
Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack

I just love how this card turned out and the colour combination – I’m loving the new colours especially Early Espresso (everyone needs one of these – in the cup and in the inks/cardstock!), Cherry Cobbler and Blushing Bride.

One thing making this card showed me was the need for the wheel guide. I have one and never really used it before with the standard and jumbo wheels however I’ve found you really need it for the builder wheels – especially when your using just one of them.

I do hope you like this card and you’re having a lazy Sunday afternoon.  Its a very hot day here in Sydney – it was 37.6C (100F) at midday so I’m hoping your keeping cool wherever you are.

Contempo Gift Set

Just a few weeks ago I did a demonstration for a lovely lady who had asked for a Christmas theme to their workshop.  These were all new ladies to me so I wasnt sure of their stamping abilities so I knew I had to make it simple but effective.  So I went with Contempo Christmas, Jolly Holiday DSP and the Christmas Bauble punch – these just work so well together and make Christmas gift giving and cards so easy!

christmasmnt

This is the set the girls made and they loved them both!

One of the greatest high’s I get from being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is when someone thinks there is no way they could make the project I have designed and yet they do make it and they are so proud of themselves!

contempobaubles This card is one of the easiest cards you can make and uses a couple of different Techniques.

Using your punches – we simply stamped the bauble once in cherry cobbler and then again in old olive and punched both of these images out.

Using your markers – markers are not just for colouring in – they have so many more uses! We took the Merry Christmas stamp from Contempo Christmas and coloured it using our cherry cobbler and old olive markers.  Once coloured you simply ‘huff’ on the stamp – the warmth from your breathe will remoisten the ink and you just stamp it on your piece of cardstock and wallah – instant coloured greeting!

Now onto the Box in a Bag ….

contempobaginabox I love making these bags!  They are just so pretty and so easy to do – you can find the tutorial here

To make this one I’ve used the lovely patterns from Jolly Holiday DSP and used my scallop border punch and my round tab punch to finish it off.  I’ve also popped on a tag made using the bauble stamp and punch.

To create the tag i’ve taken a long piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the bauble at the bottom. Once the image is stamped I have folded the piece of cardstock in half across the top of the bauble. You will need to use your scorer on this fold so its a nice clean crisp fold to ensure it will go into the bauble punch easily.

Slide you folded piece into your punch and have the fold just below the top of the punch area. Punch your image and you should end up with a folded tag – you can then write your greeting inside or just pop in to/from as I have done here.

The To/From stamp I’ve used is from the Punch Pals stamp set.

These two projects are so very easy and I’d love to show you how to make them. Simply contact me to book in your Christmas Demonstration and I’ll show you and your friends just how to make these lovely two Christmas projects.

Dont forget about our lovely Christmas Bundles that are available to purchase till 30th November – you will receive a free roll of Christmas Ribbon when purchasing any of these bundles.  You can view all the bundles here.  You can simply email or ring your order through – you dont have to attend a workshop or class although these are lots of fun!

Also I have my ‘Christmas Cards with More” class happening on 27th November, 2010.  These cards are more involved than the regular Christmas Cards and just perfect to give to those special people in your life. Contact me to reserve your spot as places are limited. You can find full details on this class on my Stampin’ Up! website under Events here

Inspired by …

As you know yesterday I was on a mission to make some ‘male’ themed cards and so after making yesterdays “So Autumn” card I pulled out my Inspired by Nature set as the grass stamp in this set is so good for ‘male’ cards.  I also pulled out Baja Breeze & Not Quite Navy inks and cardstock cos well blue tones are boy tones right?

This is what I came up with …

nqnbirthday

Recipe
Stamps: Inspired by Nature, Occasional Quotes
Paper: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White
Inks: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy
Accessories: Big Shot, Top Note Die, Large oval punch, Stampin’ Sponges

So what’s the verdict?  is it male? female? or is it both?

This is another one of those ‘multi use’ cards that if you changed the sentiment it could be used for any occasion.

I did create a few more cards with my Inspired by Nature yesterday so stay tuned as I’ll be showing them on my blog over the next few days. Inspired by Nature is a great set for any occasion and I’m happy to have it continue in the new 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalogue and I really should use it more!

Hope you have a great Saturday despite the rain – but we do need it. If you are in one of the areas thats been affected by flooding then please stay safe.

Now if you happen to pray please pray for those in New Zealand who have been affected by that Earthquake early this morning.  Praying all my New Zealand friends are safe.

Manhatten Thanks

Today’s post will be a short and sweet as today I have the first of three days of Stamp A Stacks!

I love my job and to be able to share my passion for card making and ‘giving’ to others its just a bonus I earn an income from doing this!

One of today’s cards is a remake of one that I did a little while ago which is a case from the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue and its one the girls will be making today.

simplety

Recipe:
Stamps: Occasional Quotes (new Level 3 Hostess set)
Paper: Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Big Shot, Manhatten Flower Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Large Oval Punch, Scalloped Oval Punch, Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot ribbon.

This card is so very easy to do and can be used to suit any occasion by simply changing the sentiment. How easy is that??

The sentiment comes from the new Occasional Quotes stamp set which is a new Level 3 Hostess set in the upcoming 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalogue. Email me today to ensure you have your copy pre-ordered!

Time to double check I’ve packed all I need in my Workshop Wheelie :)

Easy As … Punch

Today I had a workshop for a group of ladies who are new customers and I wanted to make their ‘make n take’ simple but elegant and the hostess had told me they wanted to see the Extra Large 2 Step Bird punch in action.

So this is what the girls made today as their make n take …

birdnotecardset

How sweet are these cards?

They are so so quick and easy to make. Its also a great way to use up some of that Designer Series Paper that you have in your stash. Actually the ones we made today used the 6×6 paper sheets from the Patterns Pack II Level 1 Hostess Gift. I also used the awesome Stampin Up! Notecards that come 20 to a pack with envelopes for just $9.50!  What a bargain!

These pads of paper are so versatile and great for card making or 6×6 layouts or matting.  In each 6×6 Patterns Pack you get and assortment of 5 colours in 60 sheets of double sided paper – and all for free – just by hosting a Workshop and qualifying for the Level 1 Hostess Benefits.

My cards above were inspired by a sweet card I received from the lovely Genelle Little which is here for your viewing pleasure ….

I met Genelle through the ESAD online forum I run for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from New Zealand and Australia.  Its a great group for inspiration and getting ideas from other demonstrators so if youre a demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand click on the link and join today!

Inspiration

Good Morning!

I do hope you are keeping yourself warm on these chilly winter days. Its days like today that it would be nice if our friends in the Northern Hemisphere would send some of their heat our way and I’d only be too happy to send it back during our summer – sounds fair doesn’t it?? if only we could!

Many times I have people say to me that they could never be a demonstrator as they don’t have the imagination and creativity I do. Thing is I dont think I have any more creativity than the next person – maybe I just use it differently.

I get my inspiration from many places but one I particularly get inspiration is the Stampin’ Up!® Idea Book and Catalogue or the Mini Catalogue.  These books are not only wonderful for showcasing the stamps and accessories we sell but it is full of samples and ideas – The Idea Book & Catalogue has over 300 ideas and samples to inspire you.

Here is a case of one of the cards from the current Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue. It highlights using the Big Shot with our Extra Large 2 step bird punch and the Perfect Polka Dot Textured Impressions folder.

This is a great card and very easy to do and I would love to show you how to make this card and all the lovely other items you can make with the Big Shot.  Don’t forget I have my Big Shot Bundles and you can find them on my Latte Specials page.

How would you like to get your Big Shot at 30% off??

Well you can! Just by joining the wonderful Stampin’ Up! family and my Stamp A Latte Team.  When you join Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator and place your first order of $300 or more within 45 days you will receive a bonus 10% commission on this order so instead of 20% commission you get 30%.

If you join Stampin’ Up! before 31st July then you also get the Starter Kit at 20% off – that’s a saving of $65!!  Contact me today for your free information pack.

Surprise Mail

Hello ….

firstly my apologies for being so quiet on my blog this week. With the onset of the colder weather my fibromyalgia pain has flaired up again. I did try shopping at the Body Shop but apparently they dont sell bodies – go figure!  I’ve also been busy getting ready for convention next week (not sure where all the time has gone!) and finishing swaps and such.

Today I was surprised with a lovely card in the mail from my Secret Sister.

How nice is this card??

I just love this Large 2 Step Bird punch if you hadnt already noticed!

I love how my Secret Sister has layered the birds with the different colours and the shading on their stomachs – just divine. The branches are great too!

This punch is just so versatile every house should have one! I’ve seen used to make birds (duh), tulips, roses and the claw or lobster plant.

If you dont have one of these punches and would like to order one please email or ring me. Dont forget I’m offering free shipping on all orders $75 and over until 31st May, 2010.

I’ll be back tomorrow with the Utah Divas International Sketch Challenge.
