What Will You Stamp – Balloon Adventures

Welcome to another wonderful week of What Will You Stamp Challenges and this week we are creating with the lovely Balloon Adventures ..

WWYS109 - Balloon Adventures - Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator AustraliaThis stamp set is so much fun! When I first saw it at On Stage last November I thought ‘it’s nice but not sure I need it’.  It’s always amusing to think back on thoughts like these because it’s now ‘an awesome set’ and ‘everyone should have one’!

It also comes in a bundle so you’ll save 10% when you purchase the Stamp Set and Framelits together!  What a great way to earn free Saleabration products!

Here’s what I’ve made for you this week …

WWYS109 - Balloon Adventures - Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

I have made a few cards with this bundle already and this time I wanted to focus on the sentiments in this set.  It has some great sentiments and a couple, like the one I’ve used today, that work really well as stand alone sentiments.

I’ve use a couple of Stampin’ Write Marker techniques on this card. Firstly, I inked up my stamp in Bermuda Bay and then used my Island Indigo marker to go over the ‘full’ then stamped it on my Shimmery White cardstock.  I then used my Pool Party marker to partially colour the block words ‘Another Year’ for an ombre look.  It really makes the words pop.

WWYS109 - Balloon Adventures - Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator AustraliaI’ve punched the large balloon from my Balloon Bouquet punch in the Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper (Saleabration item – free with a $90 order) and the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and added them with dimensionals.

The streamer stamp was stamped randomly on the Pool Party layer with Pool Party ink then sponged the edge for a little definition.

Did you know …

  • You’ll get a free limited edition Saleabration product when you spend $90 with me before the end of March
  • I’m running a Marker Club so with a small monthly commitment over 5 months you’ll end up with ALL our Markers and the Many Marvellous Markers Case plus the new In Colour Marker pack for free in July
  • I host a Live Video Stream on my Facebook Page every Tuesday and demonstrate a card and have a weekly giveaway – click here to go to my Facebook Page

Stamping Techniques 101 – Using Washi Tape

Hello and welcome back to another Stamping Techniques 101 Blog Hop!  This month we are sharing quick and easy ways to use Washi Tape in your projects.

I am not sure what it is about Washi Tape but everyone loves it right?  I know I do but why? who knows? but it’s cool and we all have to have it don’t we?

Is your supply overrunning like mine is?  Well I hope the Stamping Techniques Team give you some great tips and ideas on ways to use your Washi Tape.

You’ll need these products to make today’s card …
Product List

Here’s my card …

Here’s how to make it …

  1. You’ll need three pieces of Shimmery White – 297mm x 105mm, 80mm x 70mm, 77mm x 67mm. Fold the long piece in half and burnish with bone folder.
  2. Cut your patterned piece of Designer Series Paper to 100mm x 144mm and adhere to card base with Liquid Multipurpose Glue.
  3. Place the larger of the two white pieces into the Candle Border Punch and line up in the middle and punch.
  4. Now select three rolls from the Tasty Treats Washi pack. You’d want a yellow to go behind the flames but the choice of which to use are yours.   Using the top layer (the one you punched the candles from) as a guide stick three rows of washi tape down.
  5. Stamp Happy Birthday in Chocolate Chip Ink above your candles and adhere these two layers together with Liquid Multipurpose Glue.  Straighten as required.  If you have any of the bottom layer showing under the top simply use your snips to trim it off.
  6. Get a long piece of White and Blushing Bride Baker’s Twine and tie around these two layers and into a bow at the front.
  7. Affix the top layer to your card with Dimensionals.

How easy was that?  I hope you find time this week to sit and create some cards and I’d love to hear how you went with this tutorial.  It’s a fun and easy card to make!

Now it’s time to hop over to Carmen’s blog and see what she’s created for you today with Washi Tape

What Will You Stamp – Sealed with Love

Hello and welcome to another week of the What Will You Stamp Challenge and this week we are using the lovely Sealed with Love Stamp Set ..

I’m not usually drawn to ‘valentine’s day’ stamp sets but this one has so much more than just Valentine’s in it.  We all need to tell people we love them more often don’t you think?  You just never know what is going to happen later today or tomorrow.

I have this sweet card to share with you today using this set and perfect for any time you wish to give somebody a love note ..

I just love those little envelopes and of course you have to have glimmery hearts floating up and out of the envelope don’t you?

I also love the soft sky in with the red and white – it just softens it a  little .

To create my floating hearts I simply punched a piece of Red Glimmer and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper in the Confetti Hearts Border punch – this gave me three different sizes of hearts to use!

Who do you know could use a little love note this week?  Why not send them one?  I am sure they’d appreciate you thinking of them!

Now don’t forget to hop over to the What Will You Stamp Challenge Blog and see what the other designers have created to share with you this week.

Don’t forget you can  simply add the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack to your purchase of the Sealed with Love bundle and you’ll have earned yourself a free Saleabration product!

Anything But Holidays Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the Anything But Holidays Blog Hop!

This hop is a little different as it’s using Holiday Catalogue products but for ‘anything but holidays projects’!   Also, I’m hopping with some awesome Demonstrators with a clear goal in mind – Earning the Alaska Cruise Incentive Trip from Stampin’ Up!

So for you today I’ve used the wonderfully versatile Cookie Cutter Christmas Bundle to make these  …

How sweet are these little Baby Cards?

I love the versatility of this set and how you can use it for more than just Christmas!

This one is done in Mint Macaron for those times you need a general baby card.  The paper is from the In Colour Designer Series Paper Stack and the ribbon is the lovely Mint Macaron Sheer Linen ribbon – its so lovely and soft!

Then we have the Baby Boy card.  It’s done using Soft Sky cardstock and paper from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack – it’s the same sheet as the one I used for the Mint Macaron card – its just the other side.

Cant forget the girls now can we?  This one is done in Pink Pirouette and the ribbon is one of my favourites – the stitched Satin Ribbon.  I’ve also embellished each card with another favourite being the Enamel Shapes – dot for the ‘buttons’ on the bear and a heart near the sentiment.

Those Designer Series Paper Stacks are such awesome value – 40 sheets of double sided designer series paper and one stack for each family and the two in colour selections.  They cost less than $1 per sheet so that’s pretty good value in my book!

Thanks for stopping by today and now it’s time to head over to the next blog in our “Anything but Holidays” Blog Hop which is the lovely Narelle Fasulo!  Click here to go and see Narelle’s wonderful creations.

Thank for stopping by and be sure you check out all the creations from these amazing ladies doing their best to earn the Alaska Cruise Incentive Trip from Stampin’ Up!

fbpbanner

This week we are sharing Birthday themed projects and it’s a bit timely in this house as tomorrow is my Dad’s 85th Birthday and Saturday in my Mother In Law’s 94th Birthday!  I am thankful they both appreciate a pack of handmade cards for their birthdays – I have sent Dad a little something special too!

I’ve got a couple of cards to share with you using the Bunch of Blossoms Bundle …

Bunch of Blossoms Bundle $61.00

This Bundle just has so many possibilities and I had heaps of fun creating with it for my October Birthday Card Club.

This one is quick and easy and inspired by one made by Mary Fish

wiisteriabloomfbp

This card was quick and easy and as all the petals were stamped and punched it was easy to line up.  The petals are made of of 3 step stammps and love the depth it gives them.  This is a great card for when you need a few in a hurry and with the set having 5 different sentiments it would work for any occasion!

I wanted to do something a little different than what I was seeing online with this set so I grabbed my ever faithful Gorgeous Grunge and created this card …

grungebloomsfbp

I love the arty feel of this card and the flowers were simply punched from coloured cardstock then sponged the petals to give them a little depth.  The Linen bow was one I’d made for something else but didnt use it so it worked a treat with this card.

You can get all 4 Birthday Club tutorials for free with a $60 purchase or as a Class To Go (Class by Mail) or the Online Class (Tutorials Only). You’ll find the details on my Birthday Club Page and find all my Classes by Mail or Online Classes on my Classes To Go Page.

I hope you like my projects today and be sure to pop over and see what the other Latte Girls have created …

Freshly Brewed Sweet Treats with Jolly Friends

Good Afternoon and welcome to another serve of Freshly Brewed Projects from the Latte Girls …

frshlybrewedproject

This week we are sharing ideas for giving Treats.  I’ve given mine a Christmas theme and using the very fun Jolly Friends Bundle ..

Jolly Friends Bundle $52.00 (Stamp Set & Punch)
Jolly Friends Bundle $52.00 (Stamp Set & Punch)

I loved creating these little Treat Holders and they hold a small chocolate bar ..

jollytreats

How much fun are these cuties?  I know who ever gets them will love them!

reindeermagic

The reindeer one uses Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper and the sentiment comes from Christmas Magic – both available from the Holiday Catalogue.

surpriseelf

My little Elf Surprise uses the Presents and Pinecones Designer Series Paper pack and the Surprise sentiment comes from the Tin of Tags Stamp Set – both available in the Holiday Catalogue.

santa

My Jolly Santa Treat uses the This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Annual Catalogue and the sentiment comes from Greetings from Santa from the Holiday Catalogue.

How did she make that?

  1. Cut your cardstock 5cm x 29cm, score at 14cm and 15cm.
  2. Cut your patterned paper 4.8cm x 13.8cm – you’ll need two pieces.  Using Tombow Mulitpurpose Adhesive adhere your patterned paper to the two panels of your cardstock.
  3. Stamp your images, cut or punch out and affix together. Stamp Sentiments and cut out.
  4. Using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch punch the two ends of your cardstock piece.
  5. Affix your Jolly Characters and sentiments on the front panel with dimensionals
  6. Run a strip of Fast Fuse on the inside of your treat holder, press chocolate bar onto inside – this helps to stop it from falling out.
  7. Slip ribbon through slot and tie bow around flat ribbon with Baker’s Twine.
  8. Adhere Jingle Bells to hats with Mini Glue Dots
  9. Give to a friend and see their eyes light up 🙂

I hope you like these Jolly Treat Gifts and hope you find time to make some for your friends and family – it’s a great way to give a gift card as they’ll fit inside with the chocolate!

Now be sure to hop over to visit Libby and Narelle and see what sweeties they’ve created for you!
