Builder Sketch

Well hello and welcome to another Utah Diva Sketch Challenge albeit a little late.

Here is this week’s sketch ….

Diva Sketch Challenge 126

This week’s sketch really had me stumped for a while and I’d seen so many cards lately with the swirly plant image from the Sweet Summer Sale•A•Bration set that I wanted to use it before Sale•A•Bration is over!

This past week I received my Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue pre-order and I thought I’d sneak the two gorgeous Builder Wheels I got in my pre-order into this card.

That is one of the best things about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is that not only do you get the catalogues one month before release but you can also place a pre-order from that catalogue so you have plenty of time to make lots of delish samples to show your blog readers and customers.

I will have lots of more samples to come over the upcoming weeks but for now here is today’s card …

Builder Bliss

Now after making the card I shared on Thursday I had to use my Itty Bitty Shapes Punches again and thought this time I’d team them up with the Bitty Buttons.  I saw this colour combination on Gretchen Barron’s site this past week and immediately fell in love so saved it for my memory bank so to speak.

From the photo you cant see the buttons so well but they really do make the card pop.

The strips I stamped with the Builder Wheels are Delight in Gladness in Melon Mambo and Butterfly Bliss in Peach Parfait. I just added some strips in Old Olive and Melon Mambo which I ran through the Crimper.

The more I look at this card I do like it more and more!

Now the next person in the Diva Sketch Challenge list is the lovely Ruthie B so be sure to pop by her blog and see what lovely creation she has made this week!

Easy As … Punch

Today I had a workshop for a group of ladies who are new customers and I wanted to make their ‘make n take’ simple but elegant and the hostess had told me they wanted to see the Extra Large 2 Step Bird punch in action.

So this is what the girls made today as their make n take …

How sweet are these cards?

They are so so quick and easy to make. Its also a great way to use up some of that Designer Series Paper that you have in your stash. Actually the ones we made today used the 6×6 paper sheets from the Patterns Pack II Level 1 Hostess Gift. I also used the awesome Stampin Up! Notecards that come 20 to a pack with envelopes for just $9.50!  What a bargain!

These pads of paper are so versatile and great for card making or 6×6 layouts or matting.  In each 6×6 Patterns Pack you get and assortment of 5 colours in 60 sheets of double sided paper – and all for free – just by hosting a Workshop and qualifying for the Level 1 Hostess Benefits.

My cards above were inspired by a sweet card I received from the lovely Genelle Little which is here for your viewing pleasure ….

I met Genelle through the ESAD online forum I run for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from New Zealand and Australia.  Its a great group for inspiration and getting ideas from other demonstrators so if youre a demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand click on the link and join today!

Soft Summer gift set

I’ve been playing this week with some templates and tutorials I got from Lauren Meader at Paper Trey Ink in her Timeless Templates range. She has some very good templates there and they all come with full colour ideas for the templates with lots of ideas and designs with them with full instructions and all for just US$5 – bargain in my book!

Here is a set I made using the “Get a Handle on it” template.

GetAHandleSet

How sweet is this little set? I’ve just printed the templates out onto whisper white cardstock and stamped it in the Soft Subtles using the new Soft Summer stamp set that will be in the upcoming Spring Mini Catalogue.

GetAHandleBoxThis great little box is 8.5cm square so you could use it for lots of different gifts and it allows you to tailor it for different peoples’ likes and desires.

You could fill it with ….

      • candle
      • chocolatles
  • stamps
  • coffee
  • hot chocolate mix
  • small mug
  • cupcake
  • muffin
  • cookies
  • jewellry
  • embellishments

SoftSummerCardNow I have made this for a special friend so I’m hoping she will like this little box and whats inside!

Here is a small gift card to go with the gift.

I’ve done the white panel the same as the box and adhered it onto Certainly Celery. The oval sentiment is from All Oval stamp set – another great set from the upcoming Spring Mini Catalogue. I’ve used my Stampin Write Markers to colour the stamp direct onto the rubber and then stamped it onto whisper white and punched it out using the large oval punch. The scallop oval you see here will also be available from the Spring Mini Catalogue.

Email or ring me to put your name down on my mailing list for the Spring Mini Catalogue for when I post them out over the next couple of weeks.

HOpe you like this little set and if you’d like to make one of these then please dont hesitate to contact me for further details on this class.
