Good Morning … well I must say it’s a bit fresh here this morning! I have a sweet card for you today using the cute Bella & Friends Stamp Set ..
How sweet is this set? You’ve got 11 stamps in this set with some sweet sentiments and cute little images for any occasion.
Today’s card is a great one for sending to a friend when you want them to know you are thinking of them during those times when they might just need a little pick me up ..
I dont know about you but every time I see this “You’ve got a Friend in me” sentiment I immediately have the song from Toy Story playing in my head!
This card is super fun to make with minimal colouring and a little sponging so it’s perfect for stampers of all abilities – whether you are new to stamping or a ‘seasoned’ stamper you’ll love making this card. Grab your free Tutorial here!
While this is a ‘cutesy’ card I still managed to show my eclectic side and added some gold flecks from my Gold Wink of Stella pen.
Saleabration finishes today!
Dont forget today is the last day of Saleabration. So if you’ve been contemplating an order get it in today or you’ll miss out on all those free Saleabration stamp sets you’ve been hanging to get.
I’m working from home all day to day to happy for you to interrupt and place that order. Dont forget to use the Hostess Code UN2UQASS to qualify for your bonus thank you gift!
Welcome to another International Blog Hop for the Stamping Techniques 101 Design Team ….
This month we are sharing Monochromatic Cards!
I have used the lovely Awesomely Artistic Stamp Set …
The colours I’ve used are Basic Black, Basic Gray, Smoky Slate and Very Vanilla and I’ve added in some Silver Embossing for good measure.
While the card looks involved here’s what I did …
Score and fold basic black card base, adhere Basic Gray Layer, adhere Smoky Slate Layer
On Very Vanilla stamp flowers in Smoky Slate top left and middle right on layer. Stamp splatter stamp (after stamping off first) around flowers.
Cut Banners in Basic Gray and Very Vanilla. Cut thin strip and punch ends with Triple Banner Punch.
Stamp Flower stamp on extra piece of Very Vanilla in Versamark. Sprinkle over Silver Embossing Powder, shake off excess and heat. Cut out with Paper Snips.
Using your cut out flowers as a guide stamp the small leaf and splatter stamp on vanilla banner.
Stamp Frame in Basic Black on Vanilla and Friend inside Frame in Basic Gray. Cut out with Paper Snips.
Adhere Banners to card with Tombow Liquid Multipurpose Glue.
Adhere Embossed flowers to banner with dimensionals.
Adhere Friend Frame to banner below flowers with Tombow Liquid Multipurpose Glue
Decorate Embossed Flower with Dimensionals (optional)
I loved making this card and there are a few steps but they are fairly easy to do. If you arent good with embossing then you dont have to emboss – simply stamp your flowers in Basic Grey as you want them to stand out from the flowers in the background. You can still add the rhinestones to give it a lift.
I do hope you liked my card today and be sure to pop over and check the other Design Team Blogs for their Monochromatic cards.
It’s time for another What Will You Stamp and this week we are stamping with Tap, Tap, Tap …
This is a set that I’ve looked at many times and passed over but now that I’ve sat down with it I have enjoyed the time playing with it and hope you like my card this week ..
It’s amazing how when you stamp and colour images it brings back all sorts of memories.
Memories of Secretarial College learning to touch type – you werent allowed to see the keys so they popped a box over they keys area with just enough room to pop your hands through. Then there were the early years in the bank when I was a Clerk/Typist – oh dear that was so long ago now and feels like a previous life.
Here’s the inside …
I simply stamped the stamp from Gorgeous Greetings and then stamped and punched out the letters for “Miss You”.
A huge thank you to Maria for sending these images so I could still play along.
This one was super simple to make. I used one of the flower borders to create the bottom ‘patterned paper’ and then simply stamped the Friends sentiment up top. It’s such a nice saying dont you think?
a Friend accepts us as we are
yet helps us to be what we should
How nice is that and so true of those special friends we have – I’m sure you know someone this sentiment describes. I know I do!
Both these sets are still available (at time of writing) so be sure you go grab yourself a bargain and dont forget all orders this week till Saturday night go in the draw for the awesome Hip Hip Hooray card kit (valued at $35 and makes 20 cards!)
Be sure to check back over the next few weeks as I’m highlighting some of the awesome retiring stamp sets and products. Actually, when I made this one yesterday another two were made with Bordering Blooms so I’ll share those over the next week.
Now today is the last day of this week’s Weekly Deals and there’s lots to choose from – 15 items to be precise so be sure you dont miss out on those super bargains and shop now – maybe pick up something for Mum for Mother’s Day?
This is a fun card to make and really is quite easy. It was inspired by one of the samples in the Occasions Catalogue.
The technique I’ve used is a Colour Pull Technique and is quite easy using the blender pens – you just have to make sure you dont overwork it or your cardstock will pill.
Are you one of my Newsletter subscribers? If you are you’ll get the tutorial for this card for free! If you arent simply complete the form below and subscribe today and you’ll also get the tutorial for free – the newsletter will be going out later today.
Today I have a card for you that I cased from the uber talented Zoe Tant from UK. I love everything about this card – it’s quick, it’s easy, it’s stunning! It also made me want the corrugated cardstock!
I changed mine a little by using the Smoky Slate Cardstock for my base and the friend stamp from Endless Thanks.
The ladies made this last week at Marina’s party as one of their make n takes and they loved it – so thanks Zoe for the idea.
I love using this bundle as it’s great for all sorts of cards for both males and females! Did you know that this Bundle actually includes the Designer Series Paper Pack as well? How cool is that?
The Bundle is $87.75 and you get the Stamps, Framelits and Designer Series Paper pack – you just need to add a pack of dimensionals and you’ve got yourself a free Sale-a-bration Item! So not only do you save yourself 15% but you get a free set as well! Winning!
Well today has been a forced lazy day with having sinusitis/hayfever issues which is ok as I’ve had a busy couple of days so its ok to take a slow one and that’s the beauty of having your own Stampin’ Up! business – you work when it’s right for you and if you need to take a slow day you can.
I shared about my Blendabilities Private Class with a friend the other day and I’m here to share with you my second card we made at that class …
I loved making this card and even though it’s a bit time consuming to colour this big flower the end result is so worth it. I love the white in the middle of the petals – it gives such a different look to colouring the whole petal in – which also looks awesome. To get this look I work one petal at a time, outline with my blendabilities marker and then use my Colour Lifter to get the shading. It does take some practice but I do love it.
I also love this sentiment from Choose Happiness. I am not going to tell you I bought this set just for that sentiment as that would be silly so I’ll have to make a card using the other stamps in that set as well just so you know I didnt!
I love this Bloom with Hope Stamp set and it’s available to you when you Host a qualifying party or class.
If you’d like to book in a party or private class with me all you have to do is get your friends together and I’ll bring everything you need to create some very lovely cards or projects of your choice and you just need a minimum of 4 friends for a class. You’ll need to secure your date soon as November is filling up quickly – you could make some lovely Christmas Boxes or Gift Bags complete with a gift tag.
