Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Catalogue Blog Hop

Woot … welcome to another ESAD Blog Hop!!   Today we are taking you on a magical Seasonal Catalogue Tour!

If you’d like to view the products in the Seasonal Catalogue in my online store simply click on the image above or click here!

What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for “Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators” and it is an on-line group just for Australian and New Zealand Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.

We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors, but we share our love for what we do with each other as demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, share tutorials, product know-how, and cyberstamps, and we are always there to help and support each other when it is needed.

So if you are a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand, then please feel free to contact me for details on how to join our wonderful group.

You should have come from Richelle’s Blog … however if you have started here just keep going until you get back to me – that way you know you’ve done the complete round!

This Blog Hop is a little different as we all had to choose a particular product or Stamp Set to use and thought I’d pick something that others might overlook or you might see them in the catalogue and think ‘mmm ok they’re cute but do I really need them?’

Well my answer to that is YES!!! Of course you need some Tea Time Trinkets – they are gorgeous and there’s more you can do with them than you think!

Tea Time Trinkets $9.95

So what can you do with these little beauties??? other than admire and stroke them you mean??

Well … you can use them as a gorgeous embellishment on your cards ….

Now I know the stamp set I’ve used (From my Heart) is not in the Seasonal Catalogue but everything else on this card is!  I’ve used the Primrose Petals Core’dinations Card Stock and run it through the Big Shot with the Lacy Brocade folder (which is in the carried over section in the back of the Seasonal Catalogue) and used the new Sanding System to bring out the pattern. The Core’dinations Cardstock is specifically designed to reveal the inner monochromatic colour when sanded or torn. I love this effect!

I’ve also used the gorgeous Pink Pirouette Two Tone ribbon – I love this stuff – it makes the most perfect bows with very little effort!

The card above has one of the cup Trinkets dangling from the bow and I’ve hooked on the bow so the recipient can remove it easily and use it for other things.

This following card is the same card however I’ve swapped out the Cup Trinket for the Tea Pot Trinket …

Here’s a close up of the Cup Trinket on the first card …

So now you’ve given a card with the Pot or Cup Trinket but what can they do with it when they remove it from the card?

Well they could use it as a Scissor Charm …

Or you could purchase a plain chain bracelet and give a gift with your card and make this darling little bracelet …

How sweet does it look on Miss Emily?

Ok … so we’ve got uses for the cups and coffee/tea-pot but what about the clocks??

How about this card for one of your favourite dudes ….

I loved making this card!  I’ve used one of the papers from the Parker’s Patterns Designer Series paper pack, scrunched it up and sanding it off a bit using the new Sanding Block System. The ‘Friend’ on the banner comes from the ‘Feel Goods‘ stamp set – I simply inked the single word with my Stampin Write Marker and stamped it up and turned it into the banner.

I’ve made the tag from the Naturals White Cardstock and used the Clockworks stamp set to decorate my tag and popped the big clock on top and offset one of the little Clock Trinkets.

Here’s a close-up of the clock Trinket …

It just lifts the card and makes it rather stylish.

Now at the top of the tag I’ve used some of the new Natural Trim with one of the new Ribbon Slides and just tied a piece of Linen Thread around it to make it a bit ‘dudey’.

I do hope that I’ve given you a few more ideas on how to use the Tea Time Trinkets as well as a look at some of the other products in the Seasonal Catalogue.  The Seasonal Catalogue runs until the end of June so you have plenty of time to get all the goodies you’re about to fall in love with running through this Blog Hop!

Remember I have a bonus gift to the first five people who order $100 or more through my online store!

Now the next stop on the Blog Hop for you is the delightful Karlie Ann!  I know you are just going to love what she’s made with the Secret Garden Bundle!  Click here to go there now!

Happy 80th Mum

Today would have been Mum’s 80th Birthday.

If you are fairly new to my blog my Mum was diagnosed with Dementia and Parkinsons Disease back in September of 2010.  She moved into a local nursing home, Lovely Banks, in November 2010 as Dad just couldnt give her the care she required and sadly she passed away in July 2011.

I made this digital layout using My Digital Studio using a photo my brother David took of Mum and Dad the day she moved into Lovely Banks.

My Project 11-001

Mum loved blue so all I had to do was to find a blue Background Paper and go from there.  This was actually from a template and I just changed the background paper, and added the flourish stamps and played around with the text.

I am really loving the My Digital Studio program for the ease of making lovely layouts like this but its not limited to scrapbooking – you can also use it to create …

  • Cards
  • Notepaper
  • Tags
  • Photobooks
  • Diary
  • Perpetual Calendars
  • Annual Calendars
  • Recipe Books
  • Business Cards
  • Flyers
  • Advertisements (just like the one over on the right for My Digital Studio that I created last night)
  • Scrapbooks
  • Invitations for Birthdays, Baby Shower, Shower Tea or even just to invite some friends out for coffee or lunch!

It also gives you the option to print at home on your own printer or to send or save the file the a flash drive or memory card and take it to your favourite printer.

Want to just try the program out?  no problems – download the free trial

So you’ve played with the trial and love it and want more? no problems download the full copy for just $24.95!! Yep its just $24.95 – bargain!

Mum and Dad always had a strong love for each other – even during the rough times their love was still strong and set a wonderful example not only for us kids but to all they knew.

Mum I pray you are having a wonderful birthday in Heaven with that new body and all our friends who are now there with you and know you will forever be living in our hearts till we meet again xx

Parker’s Patterns

Happy Thursday!!

Well it is here as I’ve had all sorts of wonderful stuff happen this week and one I cant share just yet and then an email this afternoon to say my Passport has been despatched!  So excited as this means I can then register for my Stampin’ Up! trip and get everything sorted for that!!

Now its time for this week’s Thursday Time-Out!

This card was one I cased from the talented Heather Summers from Canada.

This was one of the cards the girls made at Stamp Club on Tuesday.  They had asked for some male themed cards and here’s what I made ….

Stamps: Vintage Verses
Paper: Parkers Patterns DSP, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist, Very Vanilla
Inks: Early Espresso, Soft Suede
Accessories: Square Punch, Big Shot, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Window Framelits, Festive Paper Piercing Pack, Paper Piercing Tool, Stampin Mat, Stampin Sponges, Linen Thread, Natural Trim Ribbon, Silver Basics Designer Buttons, Stampin Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Snail Adhesive, Tombow Multi Adhesive Glue.

I really love how this card turned out and even though it looks involved there’s really just the one stamp on it and a little sponging – the rest is just designer papers and cardstock.

I do hope this card feels ‘manly’ to you … I did ask hubby and he really liked it but maybe he was just being nice?

Now dont forget Sale-a-bration finishes tomorrow!

Trust God

Well … I know many of my friends who live by these words!

One such friend has been trusting God for her healing from three cancers! She is a young mum with 2 little girls and over the last few months has gone through some heavy Chemotherapy and through this treatment and a lot or prayer her cancer has shrunk! Bec is a young mum of two little girls so we praise God for her continued healing.

Last year many of my friends were praying and Trusting God for healing for my lifelong friend Judy-Ann. She too had cancer and an aggressive tumor on her stomach. In November God did answer our prayers and took Judy-Ann home to Heaven to be with Him – it was the only way He could heal her and take away her pain and now she lives in Glory with Him!

Here’s a card that I so loved making and can see me making quite a few more!

Stamps: Trust God, Serene Silhouettes, Papillion Potpourri
Paper: Early Espresso, Baja Breeze, Naturals White
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze
Accessories: Big Shot, Fancy Fan TIEF, Apothecary Accent Framelits, Old Olive Stampin Write Marker, Baha Breeze Stampin Write Marker, Stampin Sponges, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Linen Thread, Stampin Dimensionals

This card is just so easy to do – even those who have never stamped before can make this with ease! I would love to show you just how easy it is to make and all you have to do is to invite a few friends over and I’ll bring everything we need to make this card and have some fun in the process!

Here’s an ‘up-close’ of the little butterfly – she’s actually two layers of wings …..

I have also been praying and Trusting God for something else but I’ll share that in a few days when I get the ‘official‘ word!

Dont forget Sale-a-bration finishes on 22nd March so to grab your free Sale-a-bration goodies you’ll need your orders and payments to me by that date.

Good Afternoon!

Here’s a card that was cased from the lovely Mary Fish from Stampin’ Pretty and was one we made at this month’s Stamp A Stack ….

Stamps: Curly Cute
Paper: Summer Starfruit, Whisper White, Print Poetry DSP Stack,
Ink: Raspberry Ripple
Accessories: Big Shot, Honeycomb TIEF, Paper Snips, Summer Starfruit Satin Stitched ribbon

I thought this would be a great easy card for the girls to do however it is a little time consuming – just as well the other two cards we made were very quick and easy!  They do so love to cut out too – well maybe except for one or two!

Be sure you have signed up for updates when I post on my blog as I have some super huge specials coming in March! You can sign up in the sidebar by just popping in your email address and click submit and you’re done.

Thanks for stopping by and supporting my Stampin’ Up! business.

Delicate Flourishes

Happy Friday to You!!   It’s the end of the week and I have another busy weekend coming up – how about you??   I have been invited to go to a 10 Year Old girls’ Birthday Party tomorrow to do the craft project so I’m a bit excited yet anxious as well – I’ve invited my trusty friend Libby along to help out as I’m not sure how I’ll cope with 13 Ten Year Olds all wanting the same punch at the same time!  It might be the best Party I ever do – we will see!

Here’s a very quick and easy card that I cased from one I saw on Pinterest. I made a few of these and sent them out to some customers and friends this week and the girls made it at the Stamp A Stack last Saturday as well ….

Stamps: Made for You, Flowering Flourishes
Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Raspberry Ripple
Accessories: Big Shot, Delicate Designs Embossing Folder, Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon, Basic Rhinestone Jewels.

This card is an extra ‘queasy’ card! Single layer, pop it in the Big Shot, Stamp, Tie your ribbon around and pop on your jewels and you’re done!  Way too easy yet so very elegant! How nice would it be to receive a boxed set of these??  Hmm I might have to do that myself!

The Delicate Designs folder pack is just gorgeous with two borders inside its great value for just $15.95!

Actually, one of my customer’s who received this card in the post rang to thank me and commented on what a lovely card it was. I’m looking forward to seeing her at my next Stamp A Stack as I haven’t seen her for a while due to some family commitments.

Hope you like today’s card and if you’d like to make this card or a couple of cards like this then please be sure to contact me and save the date for your Party!

Happy Valentine’s Day

I very Happy Valentine’s Day to you and I hope you have been blessed by the ones you love today!

I originally made this card at my Seasonal Catalogue Launch at the beginning of February using the Hearts a Flutter Stamp set and Framelits ….

Nice enough but when I was editing this photo this morning I thought it was a little ordinary.

So I took to jazzing it up a bit and this is the finished project – I must say I’m pretty chuffed with the end result …

Stamps: Hearts a Flutter
Paper:  Pool Party, Whisper White, Primrose Petals
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Pool Party, Primrose Petals
Accessories: Big Shot, Hearts a Flutter Framelits, Scalloped Square Die, Postage Square Punch, Small Heart Punch, Basic Rhinestone Jewels, Stampin Trimmer, Simply Scored, Simply Scored Borders Plate, Stampin Dimensionals, Pink Pirouette Taffeta Ribbon.

I intentionally left a greeting off so it can be used for any occasion.

Now I did try to take a close up of the bottom of the card to show you the border created using the Simply Scored Borders Plate.

Its so sweet and easy to use – the great thing about the Borders plate is that it comes with its own template to go over the top of your card so you can see where the pattern goes under your card – ingenious!

This is this week’s “Thursday Time-Out” card and therefore I have a special offer for you  ….

  • Purchase the Hearts A Flutter bundle and recieve a free Stampin’ Dazzle Marker in the colour of your choice – either Silver or Gold

Now if you include the bundle in your order and take it to $100 you can then select any Sale-a-bration item for free and it will all be shipped direct to your door!

Contact me to place your order or to arrange your own Catalogue or Party! My February is full but if you’d like to Host a Party in March and still benefit from the Sale-a-bration freebies then please contact me to book your date – The first two to book will receive a bonus gift from me!

Talking Tags

Oh my … how cute are these???

With Talking Tag, you can send a gift that is uniquely you. Talking Tag is a message label you can attach to cards, invitations, gifts . . . anything! Personalise birthday cards, Christmas gifts or even record quick instructions for a recipe. Now your pictures really can say a thousand words!

I can see these being very popular amongst my teenage daughters friends and not mention all the geeks in our lives!

You will have the opportunity to listen, re-record, cancel, or confirm your message after you’ve completed recording it. Each label allows up to 60 seconds of a greeting, song, or product message.  Hmmm I can see many mum’s sending the “tidy your room message”!!

To play the message, recipients will need to download the TalkingTag app and scan the code. Messages are saved for two years, so they can listen to it over and over.

The Talking Tags come by the sheet and you get 10 tags for just $12.95  – why not add them to your Valentine order and you can send a message on each note you send!!  So you’d get stamps, simple sent notes and the tags for $30!!  You’ll be a hit this Valentine’s Day!!
