Have you ever fallen in love? Now I have a Leo Sayer song in my head … sorry
How about fallen in love at first sight? Now I dont mean with those hunky men on the movie screen I mean really?
Is there such a thing?
I havent – well not with a human, but I can honestly say I have with Stamp Sets, Colours and Patterned Papers. You see a stamp set or design and you just know you have to have it!
That’s how it was with the First Sight stamp set! I had to have it – it had a few of my favourite images – bird, heart, leaf, leaf flourish and a scripty font I love!
Here’s a super quick and elegant card I made this morning …
This literally was one of the quickest cards I’ve made – I think it took me all of 4 minutes!
Black and White always has such an elegance about it and when you use shimmery white it adds just that little bit more.
Now to find that ‘forever friend’ to send it to …..
Thanks for stopping by today and see you latte ..
Happy Australia Day!
Yes I know it’s nearly over but I hope you had a good one!
Today I have a card that is inspired by one by my friend Paula Dobson using Butterfly Basics and the gorgeous new Butterfly framelits …
I’ve gone a bit monochromatic with this card and I really love it.
The card base is the Naturals White and I’ve only used Soft Suede Ink and added some of the new Sahara Sand Lace and used our vellum for the larger butterfly.
The ‘bronze’ embellishment on the butterfly is actually some of our joined pearls coloured with the medium Crumb Cake Blendabilities marker. Too easy
This is a quick ‘one layer’ card and adding the butterflies and the ‘bronze pearls’ give it that little extra bit of elegance. The ladies loved it Saturday and couldnt wait to make it!

Yesterday I shared my I Love Lace Wedding Card and today I have another card for you today still with the Wedding theme that we made in Stamp Club. Today’s card uses the gorgeous Specialty Papers and the Labels Framelits from Stampin’ Up!
I love how this card turned out and it shows you that you dont need a specific Wedding Stamp set or lots of stamps to create a stunning Wedding Card.
I just love the Shimmery White Cardstock and adding the gorgeous Glimmer Paper and pearls just lifts this card and adds so much elegance. The organza ribbon finishes off this card perfectly!
I so love the Big Shot and all you can do with it! I really love how much it adds to my projects. There are so many dies, framelits, embossing folders and items to use with it and more coming in the Holiday Catalogue!
Now if you dont have a Big Shot and are thinking about getting one my suggestion is to contact me now and book in your party for August as we have an awesome Big Shot special coming in August you wont want to miss! Be sure to check back here on 1st August for all the details!

Gooood Morning and Happy Monday to you!!
Well both my girls are off on excursions today and both needing a camera so it’s a good thing that my new Samsung Galaxy Camera arrived this morning! It’s pretty cool, has lots of neat functions I’ll have to
play with learn and you can pop a sim card in there too so uploading photo’s and sharing on facebook etc is gunna be so so easy – it will be perfect for Convention in May!
This week’s Monday Makes is another sketch … and its created by the very lovely Libby ….
Now I dont know how long I deliberated over this sketch then I got to thinking those flowers dont really need to be ‘flowers’ as such and moved away from patterned paper for the base and here is what I came up with …
I did have fun with this card and there are a few elements to it!
My black background is done by inking up the Beautiful Baroque embossing folder with the Illuminate ink and running it through the Big Shot on Basic Black cardstock. I just love this technique and I love trying different inks and this one cam out pretty cool – it has a slight shimmer so its all adds to the elegance of this card.
My Baroque panel is the same technique except this time I used the Encore Silver Metallic pad on Very Vanilla so again it adds to the elegance and it turned out perfect.
Now the two flowers … this seemed like a good idea at the time …. They are stamped in Black and Clear Embossed … yes each layer … yes there are two so yup that means I stamped and embossed 6 medallions and then cut them all out! It’s also not until you get to the last piece of cutting that you say to yourself ‘what was I thinking’ but in saying that the dimension and the embossing really makes this that little bit extra special!
I do hope you like my card and be sure to hop over to Libby’s Blog to see her card for this sketch.
Have a wonderful Monday and thanks for stopping by …
This past weekend I had the privilege of attending the wedding of my beautiful niece Melody.
We had to travel to Victoria so Caitee and I flew down on Thursday and spent a few days with my dear friend Mel. We had a little stamping session on Friday night – which was a good thing as I’d not had time to make Melody’s Wedding card – I knew what I’d wanted to do but just ran out of time so here’s what I made at Mel’s …
Stamps: Sweet Essentials, Regarding Dahlias, One in a Million
Paper: Basic Black, Shimmery White
Accessories: Black Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Heat Gun, Basic Pearl Jewels, Black Satin Ribbon (retired), Stampin Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive
Here’s the inside of the card ….
I love this card … the black and white … there’s something about those two colours that just pops a card and with the black embossing on the shimmery white it takes it to a new level of elegance.
It was the perfect day with sunshine and 25“C and the day either side was overcast, raining and 17“C – talk about being blessed! The Wedding itself was a testament to their love for each other and for their love for God – such a beautiful day! It was also a great day to catch up with family who I dont get to see very often.
Happy Monday to you!
I had a busy weekend with a Fundraiser Workshop on Saturday night and last week I signed up to sell Scentsy products now they are in Australia and we do love candles and melts and I love their system with no flame so I wont have to go buy all those tea lights any more!! I had my Scentsy Launch on Sunday. We had lots of fun and the ladies appear to love the Scentsy Warmers, Bars and other products as much as I do so we had heaps of fun sniffing and talking about the scents. If you’d like to learn more about Scentsy you can check out my Scentsy Website
Here’s a card I made recently which was cased from a card I saw on Pinterest ….
Stamps: Fabulous Florets, Field of Flowers
Paper: Whisper White, Pistachio Pudding, Vellum
Inks: Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Stampin Daubers, Big Shot, Beautiful Wings Embosslit
A sweet simple card – great for any occasion.
The flower and leaves were stamped on a separate piece of Whisper White then stamped, cut out and sponged then layered with Stampin Dimensionals.
I hope you like this clean, elegant card and if you’d like to make this card at your workshop please dont hesitate to contact me to book your workshop in.
Are you free Saturday? I have my monthly Stamp A Stack at 2pm. We make 6 cards – 2 each of 3 different designs for just $20. We have lots of fun and and enjoy the time out of our regular routine. Contact me to reserve your spot.
Happy Saturday to you!
It’s a warm one here in Sydney and it also happens to be Election Day and yes I’ve gone and voted. Mind you when I went to the polling booth the lady handed me the ballot form and informed me to vote for the party I wanted by placing a 1 in the box above the line or I’d have to number all the parties under the line. This is nothing new however I could not find the Stampin’ Up! Party anywhere above the line – so let down!
Ok back to all seriousness ….
I had a good friend lose her hubby to cancer a couple of days after we got back from our trip which really knocked my socks off. He was a great man of God and a great dad and friend. I wanted a card that said how i felt and was subtle and not a in your face over the top Sympathy card (I’m sure you know the ones I mean) and this is what I made for her ..
Stamps: Fabulous Florets, Thoughts and Prayers
Paper: White Shimmery, Vellum cardstock
Inks: Island Indigo, Jet Black Stazon, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Crushed Curry
Accessories: Big shot, Oval Framelits, Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder, Blender Pen, Mini Glue Dots
I do love the muted affect you get from colouring Vellum – gives such a soft subtle image. Although you can get darker results just by using darker inks and more of them.
I would love to show you how to get this affect with using Vellum at your Stampin’ Up! Party – all you need to do is contact me to set a date and I’ll do the rest. Well maybe you could invite some friends to make it more fun!
I do hope you like this card and if you feel the need please say a prayer for Jenny and her family – I know prayer works and I also know she’d appreciate them.
