It’s in the bag!

How often has it been your fault that your daughter cant find her ipod headphones or anything else that has been imperative for her survival? Every other day it seems to be my fault that Miss Caitie can not find this or that and especially the headphones for her ipod. Well it will be my fault no more!

After the last episode when she couldnt find her headphones I decided it was time to act and today I did!

I recycled some empty brad containers and turned them into personalised little hand baggies for the girls and here they are …

handbaggies

How cute did these turn out and yes there is one for each of the girls!

I’ve simply used the Circle dies for the Big shot to cut out the Designer Series Paper & circles used for the layers. I stamped my images and then cut that piece using the 1 3/4″ circle punch. I used the marvellous Crop-a-dile to punch holes in the side to thread the ribbon through.

These little bags were inspired by a little bag that the lovely Tanya Kitto made while she was visiting back in August.  What a great week that was :)

Now not to be left out I made myself one as well!

I couldnt go past the Lap of Luxury DSP and the Morning Cup stamp set.

Even hubby commented on how cute the bags are and noted he didnt get one. Now I did offer to make him a little bag too but he said he’d survive without one!  There’s no pleasing some people!

So next time Caitie yells “Mum have you seen my ipod earplugs?”  I can then say …..

It’s in the bag!

well it should be!!

Just think of all the Christmas presents you could give in one of these!!

Time

Time is one thing we all seem to crave yet can never get enough of!

I was so glad to see the Sense of Time stamp set included in the new 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalogue. Its a great set to use for cards for those males in our lives.  I’ve even seen some great feminine cards too and when I do find some ‘time’ I might make a couple.

This card today is one we will be making at tomorrow’s Stamp A Stack.

Sweet Tote

Today I travelled down the big hill to run the Sweet Tote class.  I love meeting with these ladies every couple of weeks as they have not only become lovely customers but they’ve also become great friends – I love that about Stampin’ Up! as running the classes I do I have made so many new wonderful friendships so Stampin Up! is not just stamping but friendships we build along the way.

sweettote2Here’s the gorgeous little Tote we made today – and complete with Chocolate Wafer Fingers! The handles are made from the 5/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon and inserted through Jumbo Eyelets inserted using the Crop-a-Dile.

This is one that I made from a tutorial from the lovely Becky Roberts and you can download the tutorial for this Tote-ally Awesome Tote here.

It was Becky that I got the tutorial for the mini backpacks a little while back so she really does have some great ideas and wonderful creations on her blog.

On the side of the tote you see here there are 3 little pockets which you can put all sorts of treats in or gift cards or vouchers. I have the Chocolate Wafer Fingers in the two outside pockets and a pack of tic-tacs in the middle pocket.

SweetTote1Turn the Tote around and we have one long pocket.

In this pocket we have a covered long post it note pad and a biro/pen which we screwed the end of and inserted some matching Sweet Always Designer Series Paper and tied some co-ordinating ribbon around the barrel of the pen.

Open the Tote up and we have a four cards – two of two different designs.

SweetTote3

There are two sections made from acetate which hold the cards in but with the acetate being clear its not so easy to see.

Although there are a few ‘fiddly’ bits all the ladies were very happy with their finished Tote and I know that whoever they decide to give it to will love it immensely!

We had lots of fun today and I’m back there again on Monday for one of their Stamp A Stacks.

Till next time …..
