Seeing Circles

Posted by: Leonie | Comments (4)

Yesterday I shared a  couple of Fifth Avenue Floral cards using the Lily stamp from that set and I shared the one done in Pink and Black for the weekly challenge at Late Night Stampers.

LNSPinkBlackFlowersHere’s another card I’ve made for the challenge. Its a case of a card that was recently shared on the Utah Diva’s Blog by Stephanie G. I’ve just changed the colours to suit the Pink & Black Challenge.

Recipe:

Stamps: Circle Circus, Sweet Little Sentiments
Cardstock: Basic Black, Regal Rose, Whisper White
Ink: Regal Rose
Accessories: Black 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon, Regal Rose 5/8″ grosgrain ribbon, Pretty in Pink 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon, Stampin Dimensionals, Rhinestone Brads, Scallop Circle Punch

With the ribbons around the card I first tied the Regal Rose 5/8″ grosgrain ribbon in a knot and then layered the Pretty in Pink 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon over the top of the pieces going around the edge of the card. I hope that makes sense.

It got the approval of Miss E so it must be ok hey??

Late Night Stampers is an online group for stampers that love Stampin’ Up products and it run by a demonstrator in USA. Its open to all lovers so you dont have to be a demonstrator to join. If you’d like more information about the gorup then please feel free to email me or join by clicking here

Have a great night and dont forget to pop back tomorrow for the Utah Divas Sketch Challenge

Christmas Circles

Posted by: Leonie | Comments (6)

I was patiently awaiting my order I placed last week to prepare for Monday’s Stamp A Stack and since it had some pre-order items for the upcoming Spring Mini Catalogue it took its time arriving – it didn’t arrive till after I left for the Stamp A Stack yesterday so I had to come up with a new Christmas Card using some cardstock and stamps I already had.

Now trust me all this thinking is not good for one’s health and well-being!

BaubleCard

Here is the card I created ….

Its a simple and rather easy card to make and that’s just what you need for making multiple Christmas Cards.

I’ve used Circle Circus to create the baubles and the greeting is from the Best Yet stamp set which is a Hostess Level 1 stamp set. I’ve used the circle punches to punch out the images and then used the (retired) metallic cord to ‘hang’ them.

There is a dimensional behind each bauble to give it the effect of hanging off the tree. I have also attached a piece of in colour cardstock to the back of each bauble to ensure the cord doesnt come away and the bauble fall off. I’ve just punched a  ircle the same size and the top image is punched.

I love the boldness of the Pacific Point card and have now declare it a ‘christmas’ colour!

This also shows the versatility of the Stampin’ Up! stamps as regular sets like this one can be used as a ‘christmas’ set.

Hope you like this card too and if you’d like to book your “Christmas” stamp a stack in email or ring me to save the date!

Breezin by …

Posted by: Leonie | Comments (8)

Tomorrow I’m off down south for a Stamp A Stack with a lovely group of ladies. These ladies like both card making and scrapbooking so I always tailor their Stamp A Stack to suite both. They will make one 12×12 layout and 4 cards – two of two different designs.

They use the Stampin’ Up!® Idea Book and Catalogue as it was designed – as an idea book. They will go through all the samples in the book and decide which they want to do and tonight I’m sharing the cards they’ve chosen. They have chosen the two cards at the top of page 75 -  I have altered them ever so slightly as I dont have the Kindred Spirits stamp set and I’ve change the chipboard to using the cardstock instead.

bajapairIn previous years the recipes for each card have been listed in the back of the catalogue and idea book. This year they have used those pages to give us a few more stamps and accessories and have placed the files for the recipes on the Stampin Up Website with the Catalogue. You can download the recipe file with or without the images.  You can find the files here

Here are the recipes for the two cards ….

This card is made from a 6×6 base so finished size is 6×3 inches.

Recipe:

Stamps: Upsy Daisy, Frames with a Flourish
Inks: Not Quite Navy
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White
DSP: Urban Garden
Accessories: Stampin Dimensionals, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Paper Snips

This is a very quick and easy card to make and really suites any occasion.

friendcattiecaseRecipe:

Stamps: Circle Circus, Eastern Blooms, Pocket Silhouettes
Inks: Not Quite Navy
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White
DSP: Urban Garden
Accessories: Paper Piercer, White Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin Dimensionals

This also makes a quick and easy card as I think the longest bit was cutting out the circle and ring.

I am looking forward to catching up with the girls again tomorrow as we always have a good time when we catch up and stamp together.

I’ll be back tomorrow to show you the layout they will be making.
