Falling Flowers – What Will You Stamp

Good Evening and welcome to another challenge with What Will You Stamp Challenge Blog!

This week we are creating with Falling Flowers ..

As soon as I saw this set and the coordinating framelits it went straight on my Gotta Have list!  I love the flourish, the flowers and the leaves!  Such a sweet set if you just want to stamp and cut or if you want to do a little colouring then it’s perfect for that too.

Here’s what I created …

Now I didnt have a colour combination in mind for this – just the layout. So I went to my scrapbox (the box I pop my offcuts and extra’s to use at a later date) and found a Sahara Sand Card Base and Pink Pirouette piece which I love together so started with that then chose subtles colours for the flowers and leaves to keep the card soft and pretty.

I have a full list of supplies used at the end of my post.

This is one of the wonderful new sets you can get in a bundle and save yourself 10% …

It’s gorgeous isnt it?

Now be sure to pop over to the What Will You Stamp Challenge Blog and check out all the other creations from the Challenge Design Team!  We’d love for you to play along – just add it to the end of the Challenge Blog Post and tag your photo on social media with #WWYS71

Thanks for stopping by and see you latte ..

Best Thoughts

Whew … made it back to get this to you tonite!

I’ve been planning this card all week .. not planning the design but planning to make it and things just dont always go to plan do they?  I saw this MojoMonday Sketch at the beginning of the Week and knew I just had to make something with it!

Here’s the Sketch …
I love flowers and one of my favourite garden flowers has to be Azaleas or Rhododendrons so when I saw the Best Thoughts Hostess Set in the new Catalogue I knew it had to be on my pre-order!  Thanks to Stampin’ Up!’s generosity with their Annual Rewards I managed to also get it for free!!

Here’s my card ….

I loved making this card and it came together quickly once I decided what colour to do my flowers!  The colouring is always very therapeutic to me – I just love it and using Watercolour Paper makes it so easy.

The colours I used on the flower are Elegant Eggplant and Pool Party. The leaves are done in the new Cucumber Crush. The patterned paper banner comes from the new Bohemian Designer Series Paper Pack and the lace is new too!  So a few new things here to show you today.

Now I mentioned a special offer earlier ….

So each Tuesday I’ll be offering some sort of challenge – sketch, colour, product or inspiration and I would be thrilled if you played along!

This Week’s Challenge is a Colour Challenge …

These are three of my favouritest colours and they just go so well together!

Here is my card for the colour challenge …

I just love these criss-cross pocket cards and realised I havent made one for a while and thought ‘let’s do it’!  I’ve used the gorgeous Summer Silhouettes card and here’s the insert pulled out so you can see …

This is another one of those easy cards that are great to give as they are just a little more special than a regular card! The stamp sets I’ve used are Summer Silhouettes and Friendly Phrases. Would you like to learn how to make this card? I would love to come and show you and your friends so grab your diary and give me a call to book in your Stampin’ Up! Retiring … Vintage Vogue

I must say this has to be one of my favourite sets and one I’m sad to see retire.  It’s made many a project and its one of those sets that are just so easy to use and create with.

Here’s the card we made at the Latte Stamp A Stack earlier in the month ….

Vintage Vogue Thanks

Stamps: Vintage Vogue, Petite Pairs
Paper:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink
Inks: Pretty in Pink, Basic Black, Old Olive, Soft Suede
Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots TIEF, Labels Framelits, White Taffeta Ribbon, Rhinestone Brads.

This card is a bit like “old meets new” with the retiring Vintage Vogue and the new Labels Framelits.

A sweet card and so so easy to make and another of those ‘any occasion’ cards – all you have to do is change the sentiment.

Vintage Vogue is still available if you wish to purchase it however its only available until Friday or while stocks last.

Going … Going ……

Well August is finally here and so is the Retiring List!

It’s always sad and sometimes a shock to see what makes it onto the Retiring List and as per usual there are lots of favourites on this List and while I’m sad to see some stamps go like Dasher and Baroque Motifs I’m also excited as that means we have some new stamps coming and after finding time this afternoon to browse the new Catalogue I must say that your sadness will be forgotten once the 1st September rocks in and you can see all the gorgeous new stamps coming.

Now as always the items on the Retiring List are available ‘while stocks last’ so once something has run out then it will be gone for good so check that list and get your orders in as soon as possible so you dont miss out. To celebrate ‘Retiring Month’ I’m offering free postage to the first 15 orders I receive that include retiring products.

You want to see the new Catalogue?? OOO I bet you do but I’m sorry you will have to wait till 1st September to see it online or why not contact me to pre-order your copy today? I have my handy dandy excel file ready to pop your name in so first in first served 🙂 Simply complete the form below to pre-order your copy!

Creative Shimmer

Good Afternoon!

I do hope you are having a lovely day!  Today is the last day of 2nd term for my girls so over the next two weeks I’ll be enjoying a sleep in or three and no doubt a few lazy days 🙂

I decided this past week that I’d find another challenge to do and I just love the Sketches over at The Stampin’ Queens Sketch Challenges and as this card took me a few days I’m running late putting up my card but hey – better late than never!

Here is the Sketch ….

Easy enough dont you think??

So why did it take me so long to get my card finished, photographed and blogged? Short Answer – who knows?? I think I need to close off that Facebook page when I’m trying to work so as to remove that distraction! Facebook (and Pinterest for that matter) can be such a time waster but I have met the nicest people through Facebook and some have taken up residence in my heart 🙂

Here’s my card …

SQS44 Feathery Shimmer

I used the Colour Coach to help me select the colour combination and I just love these three together! Elegant Eggplant, Cherry Cobbler and Pumpkin Pie. When I was photographing this card I was trying to get a picture that would show you the shimmer all over the card but I just couldnt capture it – you can see it a bit at the top. It’s all so shimmery and elegant 🙂

I love how this turned out and how cool are those Faux Ostrich Feathers?? well my attempt at them! Vanessa showed us how to make those at the Stampin’ Up! Convention in Canberra last month.  They make such a lovely addition to your cards – a touch of elegance.

I hope you like this card as much as I do!

Another Day Another challenge …

Well I think I just about have my blog back to how I want it – well apart from the makeover I want to do but that will be in a week or three 🙂

I really did enjoy doing the Sunny Challenge last Sunday and came across this week’s Saturday Sketch Challenge over at Stamping 411 and a card just popped into my head!  I think this one will be the make n take for Monday’s Workshop 🙂

Here is the Sketch from Stamping 411 …

There are some lovely creations over on the Stamping 411 Blog so be sure to click on the Sketch Image and have a look see 🙂

Here is my card …

I had made a bow to put on but it was just too much so I decided to leave it off.  Then while typing this post I thought it’s pretty enough but what about some Baker’s Twine??

So here’s the stepped up version …

The flowers come from the lovely Reason to Smile stamp set that you can grab for free when you place a $125 order with me during June so contact me today to pop your order in and grab this set for free before they are gone.

Here’s what you get in the Reason to Smile set ….

Reason to Smile Stamp Set

I do hope you like what I’ve created today and thanks for stopping by.

Sunny Smile …

This is a repost of Sunday’s Blog Post that got lost in the changeover for web hosting …..

Well its been a bit too long since I last posted and when Miss Vicky asked me to be the Guest Designer for this week’s challenge over on the Sunny Challenges Blog I thought this was the perfect opportunity to jump back into Blogging!

Its always nice to know that people like what you make but when it comes from your peers it just is that little bit extra special and what an absolute thrill to be asked to be a Guest Designer – thank you so much 🙂

Here is the challenge …

So the Challenge is to make a card with a ‘Fancy Fold’ – not too hard is it?? But which fold to use??

I went with the Double Z Fold ….

Sunny Smiles

If you remember last month we had the awesome Paper Party promotion – well I had two new girls join my team so that means not only do they get a free pack of Designer Series Paper for the rest of the year but so do I!!  So I chose the gorgeous Attic Boutique from the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue.  I love this piece I’ve used with the script and the oh so subtle flowers on it.  I also hand cut out a piece of the Soft Suede paper for behind the ribbon which you can see better in this photo ….

I’ve used the Labels Framelits for the layering for the flower and the flower comes from the gorgeous Reason to Smile stamp set.  This stamp set is just gorgeous and you can get it during June ONLY!  There are two ways to get it ….

  1. Purchase the stamp set for just $28.95 (Clear) or $35.95 (Wood)
  2. Get it for free with an order of $125.00 or more! (My favourite option!)

Here is the inside of the card ….

Now I did ever so softly stamp the flower image up the right side but its a bit hard to get a good photo of that.  I’ve also used the offcut of the Soft Suede piece of Designer Series Paper from the Attic Boutique Pack for the border along the bottom.

I do hope you like this card and should you wish to hold a Stampin Up! party with me then I will show you just how easy this card is to make! Also, if you host a Stampin’ Up! party during June or July you have the opportunity to earn an extra $90 in Hostess Dollars to spend – how sweet is that? Gotta love Stampin’ Up! and all their free stuff 🙂

Be sure you popover to the Sunny Challenges blog to see what the other girls have created and why not play along with us??  I’d also love to know what you think of my card so be sure to leave a comment!

thanks for stoppin by 🙂
