Sharing ….

Good Morning everyone!

You may notice my blog is looking a little different this morning. I have been playing with a new program to design blog templates and this is what I came up with last night and I do hope you like what I’ve done. I was up until the wee hours tweaking it and would appreciate your thoughts and comments on the new look.

Speaking of thoughts …..

Here’s a new card I made recently which is a case of a card from the Idea Book & Catalogue using the lovely Thoughts and Prayers stamp set.

This card is a very soft elegant card and really could be used for any occasion – not just a sympathy or caring card.  Just change the sentiment and you’re set.

Recipe:

Stamps: Thoughts and Prayers, Frames with a Flourish
Inks: Versamark, Whisper White Craft Ink, So Saffron, Close to Cocoa
Paper: Kraft, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Sage Shadow, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Stamp a majig, Stampin Pastels, Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Stampin Dimensionals

I do hope you like this card as much as I do and this just shows that our Stampin’ Up! Idea Book & Catalogue really is more than ‘just a catalogue’ as it has over 300 samples, tips and ideas throughout the book – so much more value than buying a stamping magazine which is full of advertisements!

If you dont have your own copy then contact me today to get your copy for just $10.00.

Now dont forget to pop back tomorrow for the ESAD-SU blog hop – this is the second blog hop to introduce you to the gorgeous new stamps and products included in the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue.

Thanks for stoppin by

Diva Sketch Challenge 17

Well here we are at another Diva Sketch challenge – where did this past week go?? I have been so busy with Stamp A Stacks and demonstrations it seems everyone wants a bit of Sale A Bration! This week is another busy one with three Stamp A Stacks happening.

Here is the sketch given to us by the lovely Alicia.

Just to keep up with tradition and not to shock my fellow Diva’s I have changed it a little – but not as much as other sketches I’ve done.

Here is my card for this challenge.

udisc17As you can see I’ve changed the orientation from portrait to landscape and started with a More Mustard card. I’ve used the swirls from Baroque Motifs in versamark and then chalked over the image. I am so happy to know that Baroque Motifs wont be retiring and I’m sure you are too!

I’ve then layered Textured Always Artichoke cardstock and Kraft cardstock to which stamped the En Francais stamp in versamark and chalked again. I’ve  torn around the edges of these two layers and then sponged caramel and cocoa ink around the edges of the kraft piece to give it a bit of a vintage look which I hope I achieved.

I dragged out my ever faithful Stamp-a-majig to do the rose buds from the Wild Rose stamp set. I love this tool and it makes two step (or three or four step) stamping very easy. The saying is from the Life Definitions stamp set which I love.

I have incorporated a few different techniques with this card which I will cover in my technique classes. Techniques used are two step stamping, tearing, vintage and chalk popping. So if you’d like to learn these techniques and more then register for my technique classes today!

Till next time …
