Stitched Stockings for Baby

Here’s a little break from all the Christmas Cards I’ve been  sharing lately!

In October we had the special purchase of the Stitched Stockings stamp set and the Stocking Builder punch which is now available through the Summer Mini Catalogue. These two items were specifically designed for each other and no doubt for Christmas.  Now as you know I like to challenge myself and use non-Christmas sets for Christmas cards and items and I wanted to challenge myself to design a card using the Stitched Stockings stamp set and the Stocking Builder punch for anything but a Christmas card!

Here is a couple of baby cards I made using the Stitched Stockings stamp set and the Stocking Builder punch ….

Now yesterday Stampin’ Up! made an announcement regarding the Stocking Builder Punch.

Our occasion-specific mini catalogues allow us the opportunity to share the latest seasonal products with you and your customers, and we often carry over products from our mini catalogues into the following Idea Book & Catalogue. This time, however, we have decided not to carry over the Stocking Builder Punch (item 124095) from the 2011-2012 Summer Mini Catalogue into the next Idea Book & Catalogue. Instead we will offer other great designs in its place–not to mention a trendy, new design planned for next holiday season.

Once the current inventory of this punch has been depleted, it will no longer be available for purchase. We hope many Stampin’ Up! stockings will adorn cards and brighten holiday projects this season and look forward to seeing what you create with the next seasonal design.

So once the current supplies of this punch are depleted it will no longer be for sale.  If you like this punch and have not purchased it as yet then I urge you to place your order as soon as possible so you wont be disappointed and miss out on this awesome punch.

Holiday Lineup

As you know Sunday I decided I should really sit down and make me some cards and so I went to my drawer to find a set I hadnt used much for Christmas and Holiday Lineup seemed to be jumping and saying “pick me” … “oh oh .. pick me”.  So I did!!

I wanted a design that was fairly quick and easy as I needed to make a few.  I came up with a design I liked and then thought it was missing something and sat back and looked at it and thought … hmm it needs an embellishment of some sort.  I added a bow and wallah .. this is what I came up with….

Christmas Door

Good Afternoon!!  Well the sun is out and the girls are playing nicely together so I’m enjoying this moment while it lasts!!

As I was making cards for me to send out I realised I had a card that I havent shared with you yet. Which is pretty sad considering its a card I started doing at my Christmas Stamp A Stacks last year! Its a wonderful quick and easy card and one I cased from the very lovely Jacque Pedersen in New Zealand.

Its simply a matter of spongeing and layering pieces of Whisper White cards to create the door then stamp & cut out the wreath from Welcome Christmas and attach a Merry Tag and a little ribbon. Oh and dont forget to add a brad for the door handle or no one will be coming inside!!  Can it get much easier than that??

Now when I was redoing the card the other day I thought the green wreath doesnt really come out on the green cardstock so I thought I’d ink up the wreath in Old Olive and then grab my Cherry Cobbler marker to do the berries and pop it on some Whisper White ……

I think it stands out a little more?

Now not all wreaths have little knotted bows like mine but have a great big bow on the wreath – a bit like this ….

Yes!! I think I like this one the best – which one do you like??

Seasoned Baubles

Here’s another of the cards that I found from my Christmas in July that I hadn’t shared with you.

Eggplant Bauble

This is another very queasy card and I think I’ll be making a few of these today and tomorrow as I’ve found I don’t have quite enough cards to send out.  This card is great and you can do quite a few and in different colours too!

The greeting comes from my much beloved Many Merry Messages set – this stamp has been used so much since I’ve bought it the wording has rubbed off the label!

The bauble comes from the lovely Tree Trimmings set and you could use any of the bauble’s in this set for this card – I just love the design on this bauble.

Diva ‘scrappy’ Presents

Good Afternoon and welcome to another Utah Divas Sketch Challenge.

This is this week’s sketch …

Now seeing this sketch you’re thinking Christmas and Baubles arent you??

Well I went a little different and here is my card …

I have some scraps of the Letters from Santa DSP so decided to use them on this card.

This is also another of those ‘queasy’ cards and I’ve also used scraps to do the ‘bows’ on the presents – I simply punched the triple flower punch and cut the flower in half to create the ribbons and added a rhinestone jewel for a little bling!

I have to make some Christmas cards as I dont have the number I want to send out so here’s the same card but with a red polka dot ribbon …

Blue Baubles

Are you all Christmassed out?? I am over going shopping!

I cant believe there’s still 12 days till Christmas and I’ve finished my shopping – its just the creating I have to catch up on and all I need is lots of time and a little energy – well ok .. alot of energy!

I was going through and uploading some Christmas Cards to my Facebook page to share some motivation and inspiration and found I have a couple of cards that I havent shared yet!  These were actually some we created for my Christmas in July Class and being the month July was I’m not surprised they were overlooked!

Here’s my Blue Baubles card using the Tree Trimmings Stamp Set …

I decided to pop the card in our tree to take the photo … as you can see our tree has taken on a Blue and Pink theme this year and do I quite like the colour combination.

This is a very simple card with a little Big Shot Emboosing and the very pretty baubles from Tree Trimmings which is such a cute and affordable stamp set at just $24.95.  You could make a heap of these cards without much effort at all!

Lovely as a (Christmas) Tree

I know this set has been around forever but I just love it!  It makes great Christmas and Masculine cards :)

At Sunday’s Christmas Stamp A Stack I showed the card that I have made each year ….

I wanted to show the girls who came how to start with a simple design like the Treescape above and then add other elements to it. So we started with the Treescape with the moon and then we added a greeting and Dasher ….

Here we started with the Treescape & Moon and then added the Sleigh kids from ‘Welcome Christmas’ and a sentiment …

You may notice the top card here has a sunset instead of a moon which was just dont using sponges and ink pads.

Marry Me

As you know last weekend was huge with Dad’s 80th Birthday dinner and then my neices’ wedding on the Sunday.

When I got my copy of the upcoming Summer Mini Catalogue and saw the Marry Me stamp set I knew I had to get it for Janine’s wedding card and since it included a flower stamp and a couple of sayings I’d be able to use it for other occasions as well.

Here’s the card I made for Janine & Rob …

I love the colours in the new In Colour range and I’ve used Pool Party and Island Indigo on this card.  I’ve also stamped the image onto vellum and embossed it. I simply then just cut out the veil and attached it using Glue Dots and used the gorgeous pearls to ‘hide’ the glue dots and to give it that special lift.

Now as I was sitting enjoying a coffee that morning my brother messages me and asks if I can make a card for Dad – I think they forgot it took us an extra hour than them to get to the Wedding Venue!  but being the wonderful daughter I am I made a card for Dad to give ….

I’ve used Marry Me again with Razzleberry, Pretty in Pink and Vanilla.  I love this combo and this card was rather quick & easy once I’d worked out what to do.

Pretty as a Garden

Well what a difference a couple of days makes!!

Remember the other day when I was saying how hot and humid it was? welllll now look at today … the mercury hasnt registered higher than 18.5C (65F) and it’s overcast, cost and wet … obviously this is ALL hubby’s fault as he packed the heater away on Sunday!  I have no doubt though that it will heat up again over the weekend!

One of the best things about being a demonstrator is recruiting new demonstrators and encouraging and developing your team and having like-minded friends that share and understand your passion (or addiction as some may call it).

Each month I have my team meeting here and those in my team who wish to come along come and share any news, promotions, specials and help in areas that others need help with. We also have a show and tell session where the girls bring along what they’ve created lately and we also have a make n take time as well.

Garden Concertina

Today I’m sharing with you  a gorgeous concertina card Barbara taught us all how to make.

How sweet is this card?

We’ve used the flowers from the very pretty Greenhouse Garden Stamp Set.  Now when you use this set you’ll definitely need to use a Stampamajig so your images all line up perfectly.

I love that stampamajig! It takes all the guess work out and not to mention saves you throwing away all that cardstock when your images dont line up!  Its also great for getting your greetings straight and in the right place and for using your alphabet stamps to ensure they are all lining up and straight!

This card is very simple to do and I’d love to show you how!  I just love making cards that are still easy yet turn out just a wee bit different.

Dasher-licious

Well what a stinker of a day its been today … they forecast 34°C (95°F) and its currently sitting at 38.6°C (101.5°F)!! Too hot to do much than sit in the flow of the Air Conditioner and Ceiling fan!

Here’s one of the other cards we did at my Christmas Stamp A Stack last Saturday – and it also fits in with the Utah Divas Sketch Challenge as well!
