What will You Stamp with Foxy Friends

It’s time for another new challenge from What will You Stamp ..

WWYS75

this week the focus set is Foxy Friends!  Now when I first saw this set and punch I thought wow thats cut but seriously, all the critters people are making with it is astounding!

I couldnt work out what I wanted to do at first and as we breed Ragdoll kitties I opted to go with this Foxy-Kitty card … FoxKittyFriend-WWYS75

I needed something quick and easy as I’m in the middle of rearranging my crafting area and teeing it up with the A Little Foxy DSP Stack made choosing colours easy.  The little Flirty Flamingo Enamel heart sets it off perfectly.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the What will You Stamp Challenge Blog to enter your creation and see what the other girls on the Design Team created.

A Pocket full of [Swirly Bird] Posies

Oh my it’s been chilly this past week … bring back the warmer weather please!

Nothing quite warms your heart as a bunch of pretty flowers and here’s a card I made for my new Catalogue Discovery using the Swirly Bird Bundle and the new In Colours …
SwirlyPosy

How pretty is this bunch?

I’ve used all the new In Colours to make my flowers – both large and small and also the stems, leaves and ribbon!

The Swirly Scribbles Thinlits are the perfect match for this stamp set and how good is it that you can buy it as a bundle and save 10%

I’ve used the wavy thinlit for my stems and the top swirls for on top of my larger flowers which made this card so easy.

I did add a little extra shimmer to my card by adding clear Wink of Stella to the swirls on my three large flowers – Stella makes a project oh so shimmery!

Want a free Wink of Stella Brush?  well book a party in July and I’ve got a free one for you when you host your party!  Contact me now to book in your date!

Thanks for stopping by and see you latte ..

Confetti Celebration

I love a good Celebration and using the new Confetti Celebration stamp sets makes those regular celebrations a little more fun!

During June I have lots of family birthdays so this set will be very handy this month!

Here’s a sweet little Shaker Card using the Confetti Celebration set …

ShakinBday

Have you seen our new Foam Adhesive Strips?  They are awesome value and designed specifically for shaker cards and you can bend them to make circles, hearts and all sorts of shapes!

Have you made a shaker card before?  Have you noticed all your shaky bits stick to the foam adhesive strip?  Well I have an awesome tip for you … once you’ve applied your foam strips and before adhering the window sheet rub your Embossing Buddy on the inner side of your strip – this will take away the ‘stick’ and your shaky bits will shake as intended with no sticking to the sides!

Shaker cards are fun for any age as you just can stop shaking them when you pick one up!

Gift of Love

Nothing brightens your day quite like flowers do and well today we need a little brightening up with it being wet and dreary outside.

I have a sweet card for you today that I made as a sample for my launch and it uses one of our new Hostess Stamp sets – Gift of Love …

CatCaseCoppEmbTy

I love how easy this card was to make and how pretty it turned out.

The background has a watercolour wash in pool party which softens the look of the card.

The flower is actually a 3 step stamp and I find with these it’s easier if you start with the outline first as this is usually a darker colour.  I then stamped the flower fill in Blushing Bride and the leaves and stem were done in pear pizzazz.  I did stamp this onto a separate piece of shimmery white so I could cut it out and raise it with dimensionals.

The Thank You is stamped in Versamark and then I embossed it with the new (and very delicious) Copper Embossing Powder.

I also flicked Gold Wink of Stella over the background to give it a little aged look and the added shimmer of the Wink of Stella makes it super pretty.

I did also dauber over the centre of the large flower to give it a little more depth.

Did you know during June you can earn extra rewards as a Hostess?  when you host a party in June you will be rewarded with an extra $50 to spend when your party reaches $450 in sales – so for a $450 party you’ll get $95 to spend instead of $45 – how cool is that?

Did you also know you could use that $95 to reduce the cost of purchasing the Stampin Up Starter Kit?

Just let me know that’s what you want to do when you Host your party in June and we can arrange your kit for just $74 and you’ll get $235 plus during June you can also select a bonus two stamp sets when you become a demonstrator.  That’s even better!

If  you would like to purchase the kit without hosting a party you can do that too – you’ll pay $169 for $235 worth of products and you’ll still get the two free stamp sets during June!  Oh and you do know that you pick what you want in your kit too dont you?

Also, being a demonstrator doesn’t mean you have to do parties or classes either but doing them helps you to earn more free products as you progress.

I would love to do a party for you or have you join my team and happy to answer any questions you might have so please be sure to contact me to arrange a time and day to get together.

Potpourri Thank You

Good Afternoon … well Good Evening!

I wanted to share with you today a super quick and super simple card for this week’s Time Out.

PetalThankYou
It’s a simply one layer card and I’ve simply stamped the flower from ‘Petal Potpourri‘ in Pink Pirouette randomly on the card then stamped the flower centre in So Saffron. Then the gorgeous Thank You from ‘Another Thank You‘ in Soft Suede.

So quick and so easy!

It’s so quick and easy that you could make a set of 4 or 5 cards in less than 10 minutes and bundle them up for a sweet little gift.  You could stamp them in the same colour with different sentiments or in various colours with the same or different sentiments on each one.  Include envelopes with the flower stamped on the corner so they match – too easy!

Did you know I’ve revamped my ‘Card Coffee n Cake class?  It’s now help on Thursday’s at 12.30pm and I’ve renamed it to my ‘Time Out‘ Class and you can make either the card or the box for $6 or both for $10!  I had a lovely time out with Janene today and would love for you to join us next week!

You can view all my upcoming events here and dont forget these classes this weekend …

  • Saturday at 1.30pm Bow Punch class
  • Sunday at 1.30pm – For Mum Class (dont worry if you dont need a ‘mum’ card we can adjust the sentiment for any occasion!)

Thanks for stopping by and catch ya latte …

Park Lane Lotus

Good Afternoon … feeling a little worse for wear today with flu-like symptoms plus the Fibromyalgia pain – not a good look for a Saturday.

Today I thought I’d share with you a very quick and easy card I demonstrated recently at Kat’s party using the Lotus Blossom Sale-a-bration Stamp set …
 ParkLaneLotus2
Products I Used …
Stamp : Lotus Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set [139143]
Ink : Blackberry Bliss Classic Stampin’ Pad [133642] , Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker [100079]
Card Stock : Blackberry Bliss A4 Cardstock [133682] , Park Lane Designer Series Paper [133694] , Whisper White A4 Card Stock [106549] , White Vellum A4 Card Stock [106584]
Punch : Tag Topper Scalloped Punch [133324]
Ribbon & Trim : Blackberry Bliss 3/8″ Satin Stitched Ribbon [133668] , Silver 1/8″ Ribbon [132137]

This card is quick and easy and great to whip up a few at a time – you could leave the sentiment off the top and just add it as needed so you’d have the perfect card for any occasion!

Why did I use the vellum over the top of the flower?  Stamping in Blackberry Bliss is very stark and sometimes you just want a softer flower and placing the vellum over the top softens the flower.

Why did I stamp the sentiment on the vellum layer? Well you want people to know why you sent the card and really the sentiment should be the main focus of the card. Having it on top this is what they see first and placing it on the same layer as the flower it’s muted too much and lost.

I hope you like today’s card and you find my tips helpful and give you some ideas for your own card making.
