Perk Up!

MMm I’m so lethargic at the moment I could use a Perk Up!!

You may remember on Wednesday I shared my ‘ikky’ Christmas Card and much to my surprise many of you liked it or maybe you were all just being nice and letting me down gently.

Anywho I loved that design and the card I’m sharing today actually is the first one I made in this design and fell in love with it – I made it for Nancy’s workshop last Friday and all her ladies loved the card and also happened to fall in love with the Lap of Luxury Designer Series Paper as well – funny that!

Here’s the card …

Oh how I love pink and purple together! I just love the Lap of Luxury DSP and will be sad to see it go in just 3 months! Oh my thats not long at all is it? So you’d better start stocking up now I think!

Now because you were all so lovely with the comments on my Christmas card I thought I’d share instructions on this card with you all so you can see just how easy it is to make.

You will need ….

  • A5 piece of cardstock for Base – I used Concord Crush
  • 4 strips of DSP 145mm x 50mm
  • Whisper White 60mm x 60mm
  • Concord Crush 65mm x 65mm
  • Pretty in Pink Scrap
  • Jet Black Stazon Ink
  • Concord Crush Classic Ink
  • Inks/Markers/Crayons for colouring
  • Curly Label punch
  • Morning Cup Stamp Set

Step by Step

  1. Fold A5 card in half & burnish with bone scorer
  2. Fold front of card back to fold line & burnish with bone scorer
  3. open card and layout & adhere dsp to sections (refer to image below for the patterns I used) and set aside
  4. Stamp Coffee Pot, mug and steam on whisper white
  5. colour as desired
  6. Adhere Whisper White layer to Concord Crush piece
  7. Stamp ‘Perk Up’ sentiment in Concord Crush onto Pretty in Pink piece & punch out using Curly Label punch. Adhere this piece to the back of your concord crush piece. Apply adhesive just behind the left side of the panel and adhere to front folded piece and your card is done!

You will notice on the above image of the opened card I used two pink pieces in the centre of the card – I’ve done this so you can easily write your message here and you have two panels if you need it. This way when the card is closed the message remains hidden.

I hope you like this card as much as I do and it really is a queasy design to do yet people who recieve them think they are wonderful as they are just a little different.

Let me know if you have any problems with the instructions and please share a link to the cards you make in this design as I’d love to see them by adding a comment and popping the link in there or email me a copy.

Crimped Vintage

I’ve had a very busy couple of days with two demonstrations in two days and now my body is telling me to slow down now or else!

I thoroughly enjoyed these two demonstrations and was glad that I could use the same make n takes for both and here is what the girls made ….

I am sorry about the darkness of the background of the photo but if i lightened it the projects became rather ‘bright’.  I love making and giving these Crimped Envelope cards! They are so easy and just that little extra special to give.

You might recognise the little pillow box.

My pillow box was inspired by the lovely one I received from my Secret Sister the other week.  I’ve just added ribbon and a little tag.  These flowers are super easy to make too!  The ladies loved making these and were surprised at just how easy they were. They also loved the Tiny Tags stamp set and how well it matched the new Medium Jewelery Tag punch.

Here is the Crimped Envelope Card.

How special is this? would make an awesome Mother’s Day card dont you think?

I’ve used the Vintage Vogue set to decorate my envelope and then added the flowers after crimping. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments set and stamped onto whisper white which I’ve cut out using my gorgeous Big Shot and the Lots of Tags sizzlits dies.

If you would like to learn how to make these two projects then contact me today to book your demonstration in.

The ladies really enjoyed using the Big Shot for their projects and were very impressed with how easy it is to use and I’d love to show you how easy it is to use and all the wonderful things you can make with it.

Now I have a couple of Big Shot Bundles for you to purchase – just click on the “Latte Specials” tab for more information and pricing.

Thoughts Box

You might remember the little 4×4 Desktop Box set I shared the other day using the Upsy Daisy set.  Well since I finished that I wanted to make one of these sets for our standard A6 cards and then the June Colour Challenge was announced for our ESAD (Extra Special Australian Demonstrator) Yahoogroup so thought I’d combine the two!JuneColourChallengeESAD

The colour challenge set by Alisa was to use

  • Chocolate Chip
  • Creamy Caramel
  • Cameo Coral
  • Ridinghood Red

Here’s my little Desktop Organiser.

DesktopPrayers

I’ve used the above colours and the lovely Thoughts and Prayers stamp set, Friendly Words Stampin’ Round and a couple of our awesome punches to make this cute little boxed set.

The template for the box came from Paper Trey Ink Timeless Templates. Although you have to pay for the templates there they are all very well formatted and come with pages and pages of design ideas and all for just a mere US$5 so money well spent – well I think so anyways. I did have to adjust it slightly to fit our cards in it. Lauren has many more templates to choose from as well. DesktopSet

Here is the full set that I made consisting of the box, cards and envelopes.

As you can see this makes a great present and you can change the set just by using different greetings and colours. I can see a few of my hostesses getting one of these sets when they hold their next demonstration.

Here’s a close up of one of the cards so you can see them in closer detail

DesktopTNP1
