Morning Cup

Afternoon!!

I dare say you can tell just by looking at my blog what I’ve been doing today!  I had another demonstrator email me and ask me about doing a makeover on her blog and its then I remembered I’d wanted to do one for me too!  Well while I was looking at themes for her I popped over to Studio Press by Brian Gardner – he has such lovely themes and they are very easy to customise to your own and he cant be all bad as he is powered by Starbucks and also likes Hillsong!

I havent quite finished tweeking this one but thought it gives my blog a nice fresh clean look – what do you think?

I made this card a few weeks back and just havent had the chance to share it with you.

I first saw one of these cards when I was visiting the lovely Kim Conway in Victoria and I thought wow I bet they are hard – and guess what?? they aint!

This one I followed the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers but have recently done my own tutorial for our metric sizes. This tutorial will be offered as a special fundraiser that I’m part of – the “We Stamp for Lara” and I will give you more details on that in a new post.

I love the Elegant Soiree DSP and this Morning Cup Set – so me ;)

Now whats the ‘Surprise Pull Up’ part?? Well ……………

Part of the card you cant see is the ribbon at the top which is the part you ‘pull’.  This then reveals the ‘surprise’!  As you pull the ribbon & tag insert up it pulls the piece of Designer Series Paper up and reveals the ‘surprise’ greeting and we all know that ‘caffeine is not a drug – its a vitamin!’

Here is a pic of the card side on to give you more of an idea how the pull up part works ….

Neat hey??

Now this card doesnt have an opening where to write your greeting so in the new tutorial I’ve done I’ve also added a folded card so you still have somewhere to place your greeting and message to the lucky recipient.

Now dont forget to pop back later for details of the “We Stamp for Lara” fundraiser.
