Freshly Brewed Embellished Projects

Good Afternoon .. it’s Wednesday so it must be time for another Freshly Brewed Projects from the Latte Girls and this week we are sharing ways to Embellish your projects.

Recently I’ve started doing Facebook Live videos on my Facebook Business page and on my Private Latte Girls Team group. While we’ve had a few hiccups they’ve been lots of fun which is a little surprising as I dont normally like being in front of the camera.

Last week I decided to pull out and ink up my Tie Dyed Stamp Set from the Occasions Catalogue.  I did this one live on my Stamp A Latte Facebook Page and these are a little fun as I dont normally go from a sample card – just an idea in my head …

Birthday Dude Card using Tie Dyed from Stampin' UP! created by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

It’s always nice when you do these things live and they actually turn out as you’d imagined them!  The one is done with Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise and Wild Wasabi for a guys Tie Dyed card.

Of course we need one for the ladies …

These cards are so quick and fun and just a little ‘hip’.  The colours I used on this one are Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo.

Both the Sentiments come from the Birthday Blast Stamp Set.

Now for some super fun embellishing …

What Will You Stamp – Balloon Adventures

Welcome to another wonderful week of What Will You Stamp Challenges and this week we are creating with the lovely Balloon Adventures ..

WWYS109 - Balloon Adventures - Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator AustraliaThis stamp set is so much fun! When I first saw it at On Stage last November I thought ‘it’s nice but not sure I need it’.  It’s always amusing to think back on thoughts like these because it’s now ‘an awesome set’ and ‘everyone should have one’!

It also comes in a bundle so you’ll save 10% when you purchase the Stamp Set and Framelits together!  What a great way to earn free Saleabration products!

Here’s what I’ve made for you this week …

WWYS109 - Balloon Adventures - Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

I have made a few cards with this bundle already and this time I wanted to focus on the sentiments in this set.  It has some great sentiments and a couple, like the one I’ve used today, that work really well as stand alone sentiments.

I’ve use a couple of Stampin’ Write Marker techniques on this card. Firstly, I inked up my stamp in Bermuda Bay and then used my Island Indigo marker to go over the ‘full’ then stamped it on my Shimmery White cardstock.  I then used my Pool Party marker to partially colour the block words ‘Another Year’ for an ombre look.  It really makes the words pop.

WWYS109 - Balloon Adventures - Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator AustraliaI’ve punched the large balloon from my Balloon Bouquet punch in the Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper (Saleabration item – free with a $90 order) and the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and added them with dimensionals.

The streamer stamp was stamped randomly on the Pool Party layer with Pool Party ink then sponged the edge for a little definition.

Did you know …

  • You’ll get a free limited edition Saleabration product when you spend $90 with me before the end of March
  • I’m running a Marker Club so with a small monthly commitment over 5 months you’ll end up with ALL our Markers and the Many Marvellous Markers Case plus the new In Colour Marker pack for free in July
  • I host a Live Video Stream on my Facebook Page every Tuesday and demonstrate a card and have a weekly giveaway – click here to go to my Facebook Page

Stamping Techniques 101 – Using Washi Tape

Hello and welcome back to another Stamping Techniques 101 Blog Hop!  This month we are sharing quick and easy ways to use Washi Tape in your projects.

I am not sure what it is about Washi Tape but everyone loves it right?  I know I do but why? who knows? but it’s cool and we all have to have it don’t we?

Is your supply overrunning like mine is?  Well I hope the Stamping Techniques Team give you some great tips and ideas on ways to use your Washi Tape.

You’ll need these products to make today’s card …
Product List

Here’s my card …

Here’s how to make it …

  1. You’ll need three pieces of Shimmery White – 297mm x 105mm, 80mm x 70mm, 77mm x 67mm. Fold the long piece in half and burnish with bone folder.
  2. Cut your patterned piece of Designer Series Paper to 100mm x 144mm and adhere to card base with Liquid Multipurpose Glue.
  3. Place the larger of the two white pieces into the Candle Border Punch and line up in the middle and punch.
  4. Now select three rolls from the Tasty Treats Washi pack. You’d want a yellow to go behind the flames but the choice of which to use are yours.   Using the top layer (the one you punched the candles from) as a guide stick three rows of washi tape down.
  5. Stamp Happy Birthday in Chocolate Chip Ink above your candles and adhere these two layers together with Liquid Multipurpose Glue.  Straighten as required.  If you have any of the bottom layer showing under the top simply use your snips to trim it off.
  6. Get a long piece of White and Blushing Bride Baker’s Twine and tie around these two layers and into a bow at the front.
  7. Affix the top layer to your card with Dimensionals.

How easy was that?  I hope you find time this week to sit and create some cards and I’d love to hear how you went with this tutorial.  It’s a fun and easy card to make!

Now it’s time to hop over to Carmen’s blog and see what she’s created for you today with Washi Tape

Freshly Brewed Projects – Delicate Details

Good Afternoon and welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects from the Latte Girls. This week we are designing with the lovely Saleabration Set Delicate Details.

I love this set and love that you can earn it for free during Saleabration with a $90 order. The set includes 5 different lace images and are a great way to give your projects that vintage feel.

I’ve had this card in my Design Journal for a while and glad to finally get it onto cardstock and share it with you  …

How did she do that?

  1. The card base and top layer are Very Vanilla Cardstock and the middle mat is Pink Pirouette.
  2. Stamp the lace images in Soft Suede.
  3. Using Crumb Cake ink stamp the dotty stamp from Avant Garden all around the lace and up the right corner.
  4. Stamp the Flower Image from Avant Garden in Basic Black.
  5. colour the flowers with Pear Pizzazz, Pink Pirouette, So Saffron and Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write markers.
  6. Fussy cut the flowers with my Paper Snips.
  7. The sentiment from Avant Garden is stamped in Rose Red and cut out with one of the labels from the Project Life Cards and Labels framelits.
  8. I sponged around my sentiment and top layer first in pink pirouette then in Soft Suede.
  9. The bow is made from three lengths of Linen Thread and adhered with a Glue Dot.

Download the printable instructions here.

I do hope you liked my Flowers & Lace card today.  The other set I used for this card is Avant Garden which is another set free through Saleabration.  You can grab both of these sets for free with an order of $180 or more.

Now it’s time to see what Libby and Narelle have created for this week using the wonderful Delicate Details Stamp set.

Big on Birthdays

It’s true … at Stampin’ Up! we are Big on Birthdays and since everyone has one I think you should be celebrated on your special day!

That is why, when I opened my Occasions Catalogue for the first time, I fell in love with this set …

There are lots of cool cards you can make with this set and when Janene held her party recently she asked for one from the catalogue as one of her make and takes …

This card is quite quick and easy to put together. The trickiest part was getting the Baker’s Twine to sit correctly but a strategically placed piece of Tear n Tape and a mini glue dot and wallah – perfect.

I have a new series of classes starting this Sunday.  Each month I’ll be running my Any Occasion Card Class and each month will have a different theme – this month (Sunday) is Birthdays so be sure to let me know if you’d like to come along.   You can find all the details for the class here and as part of the kit you’ll receive one of our gorgeous Gold Stripe Card Tins!

Contact me today to reserve your seat.

Freshly Brewed Projects – Birthday Balloons

Good Afternoon and Welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects with the Latte Girls!  This week we are sharing some Birthday Balloons for you!

Who doesnt love balloons on their birthday?  It’s such a fun way to celebrate whether you are a young kid or young at heart!

This week I’ve gone with the Balloon Builders Stamp set  …

I feel a little guilty that this is the first time I’ve used this stamp set which was given to us at a Stampin’ Up! event last year.   It’s a great set and can be used to make up those balloon animals you used to see people create years ago with a few twists here and there.   What a skill that was!  Sad that you dont see it much anymore.

Here’s what I’ve made for you today with this cute fun set …

I wanted to use reds and purples so chose Pink Pirouette, Rose Red and Wisteria Wonder and love how they look together!

Now I know this week’s theme is Birthday Balloons and while this card does fit that theme you could also use this card for any occasion you wish to celebrate including Valentine’s, Engagement, Wedding or Anniversary!

Do you have someone celebrating a special occasion soon?  why don’t we get together and make some fun cards to give?  If you’d like a fun easy card class or workshop contact me to arrange your event or arrange to come to one of mine!  If you haven’t been to one of my classes or events yet you’ll get the first one free!

Now don’t forget to check out what the other Latte Girls have created for you this week …
