Christmas Sparkle

I promised to show you the Christmas cards from Friday’s Stamp A Stack.

Now you all know how much I love Baroque Motifs stamp set so I just had to try it on a Christmas Card and how nice is this??

This card is just so easy and turns out so elegant especially when you add some lovely Satin Pomegranate Ribbon to finish it off. The Merry Christmas stamp is from Occasional Greetings.

We had 10 show up for the Stamp A Stack so there wasnt a spare seat around the table – it made for a fun night with lots of family stories and laughter by all.

The second card we made was one i made last week and was so happy with it I just had to share it at the Stamp A Stack and it got the thumbs up from all which gave some relief because we are all different and like different things.

This Card uses the Snow Burst set from the Spring Mini Catalogue and has a great selection of different snow flakes in different sizes. I have used the masking technique here and it gives dimension to the top layer without too much effort. The greeting for this card comes from Festive Favourites and I thought it was perfect for this card.

Recipe:
Stamps: Snowburst, Festive Favourites
Inks: Soft Sky, Blue Bayou
Cardstock: Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, Whisper White
Accessories: Bashful Blue Grosgrain ribbon, sponges, silver brads, mini glue dots and dazzling diamonds

Here is a close up of the centre of the large snowflake showing the glitter on the top of the brad. All you do is pop a mini glue dot on the end of your brad and then dip it into the dazzling diamonds and you have instant bling! and who doesnt love bling?? Well better be off to bed so I can get up and prepare for Monday’s Stamp A Stack! Happy Stamping!

Father’s Day Concertina

Well here I was thinking I was going to be bored and all lonely while certain friends attended the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip the other week. To say the least ‘bored’ did not enter my vocabulary – for the past two weeks I’ve had the busiest time as a demonstrator and my best sales month ever!

Who knows I might even be on the Incentive Trip next year!!

I have a couple of regular Stamp A Stack groups and a couple of them have asked for ‘male cards’ – I nearly fell off my chair – being that I’m a mother of two girls I don’t do many cards for the male species! I thought with Father’s Day this Sunday I might offer a nice card for the dads, grampa’s, pops, opa’s and hubbies.

I came up with this little Concertina Tag card and I must say I’ve had a great time using the Outlaw Designer Series Papers.

I love the earthy colours in this paper pack and using them for this project I’ve had the desire to make more items from this pack.

The stamps in this card are from Occasional Greetings, Baroque Motifs and Define your Life. All very versatile sets which can be used for many occasions.

This picture shows the card open leaving room in the centre for your own personal message or maybe a photo?

I do hope you like this card and if you’d like to make one I am holding a class at my place on Thursday where you make this card and a small gift for dad. So call me to book your spot!

Cherished Motifs

Well as you know I love the Baroque Motifs … which I think I will rename to Cherished motifs!!

Cherish MotifsHere is a card I have been doing as a make n take at my demonstrations.

It was actually inspired by the card Nikki Stalker sent me the other week and is shown in this post

Now if you love this card as much as I do (and apparently some of my customers do too!) I have some kits left over from my last demonstration which I will post to you – all you have to do is leave a comment for me and tell me your favourite stamp set and your email address (this is so i can contact you to get your mailing details.)

Yes you will get instructions and if you’d like to order the punch and 4 ink pads I will do this as a special order right to your door with free postage!

Email me for my special deal on the complete kit including stamps, punches & inks!

Just love being part of Stampin’ Up!®

Yesterday I shared how the July special is on the Starter Kit and the opportunity to be part of the Stampin’ Up!® family. Well its more like a family than a business.

Not only do the Staff at Demonstrator Support and Head Office treat you with respect and as part of the family but you also get to meet other Demonstrators online and at events like Regional Training and Convention. You click cos you know you’re part of something special and more often than not you find you have other things in common.

I am talking about all this today as in the past week or so I’ve recieved two gorgeous RAKs (Random Acts of Kindness) from two demonstrators – who also happen to be awesome ladies and I feel blessed to call them friends. NikkiCherish

Firstly, I received this gorgeous card from Nikki Stalker.

How well does this lady know me?? and know what happens to be my favouritest (yes its a word!) stamp set and just how much I love the new In Colours?

I loved this card so much that I used it as inspiration at a recent demonstration and those ladies loved it too! Thanks Nikki!

Yesterday I was totally blown away by a gorgeous gift from Makeesha Byl - another demo and friend from Western Australia.

keesh1I had spent most of yesterday on the lounge with a headache so wasnt the best.

Then the girls got in from school and Caitie presented me with an envelope containing this gorgeous pocket card I could do nothing as the tears welled up in my eyelids.

It seems Makeesha knows me too as she used Baroque Motifs as well and the very pretty brocade stampin round.

If that wasnt prize enough I pulled the insert to reveal a voucher for one of mine (and obviously Makeesha’s) favourite book stores – Koorong. Gotta love how God uses people to bless others – and right when they need it!

Keesh

I will enjoy browsing the store and pondering what to buy … thanks so much Keesh … from the bottom of my heart! Mwah

This pic shows the top of the insert and how Keesh has used the swirly flourish from Baroque Motifs … I dont think I’ll ever tire of using that set – or receiving cards made with it!

Although I did know Nikki before I joined Stampin’ Up!® there have been many ladies I now call friends and some are customers as well as demonstrators and they are all people I would never have met otherwise.

So I do thank God and I do thank Stampin’ Up!® for enriching my life with so many beautiful people and a wonderful job that not only allows me to be home for the girls but also a job that has blessed me in so many ways.

A bit Groovy

Well yesterday I was a bit blue (you’ll have to read that post to see why) and today I’ve been browsing a heap of wordpress theme sites and found this groovy blue and yellow one – do you like it? I hope you like the change … I did find some purple ones which I might upload at a later date after I’ve created a banner and such to go with it.

Something else groovy is one of the new In Colours from Stampin’ Up!® – Groovy Guava. I just love that colour – actually I love ALL the In Colours this year – they are all so nice and all go so well together.

GroovyWishes Here’s a card I made yesterday using three of the In Colours – Groovy Guava, Purely Pomegranate and River Rock – and I threw in some Old Olive just for fun and because its such a lovely rich colour and another of my favourites.

I know I used the Baroque Motifs yet again but I promise I wont use it for at least a week (promise) but it does have a different look to the one I shared yesterday – it just goes to show you that you can get different looks with the one stamp set.

The greeting is from Birthday Cheer & Wishes and I have fallen in love with the new Taffeta Ribbons – not as elegant as the Organdy we had last year but it does come close ;)

Have a great friday night!

A bit blue

Well thats true for the type of day I’ve had today and an apt description for the card I made today.

I got up to no internet this morning … well we did have internet but I didnt :(

After lots of testing, pulling of hair and steam coming out of ears and a rather long stressful phone call with the dear husband & Puta Guru we worked out our network server was deaded :(    Hubby managed to talk me through changing settings so I could at least have access to the internet today. This is a good thing as I had a few online jobs to do today with orders to put through and a blog post I do each wednesday at the Utah Diva’s International Blog

One thing I did learn during the ‘black out’ was that I can type a post into Word 2007 and then publish it from there right into your blog – in this case it was the Utah Diva’s Blog post I did that I tried it on and was rather surprised it worked.

Now after all that with the internet and servers and networks one would think a cup of coffee would hit the spot – well guess what else was broken – yup my espresso machine :(   Maybe I should take donations for me to get a nice new one so throw your spare change my way!! lol

Ok enough of that …. where’s the card??

Prayer Bayou

Here it is … and yes its using Baroque Motifs again – I do try not to use it but just cant help myself! Here’s the recipe …

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Baroque Motifs, So Many Sayings
Ink: River Rock, Old Olive, Soft Sky, Blue Bayou
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Soft Sky, Blue Bayou
Accessories: Stamp-a-majig, Soft Sky double stitched ribbon

These colours are a little out of my comfort zone and I wasnt sure about it but my good friend Maggie said it was lovely and she has good taste!

Lets just hope the ladies at next week’s Stamp A Stack like it too! What do you think? do you give it a yes or a no?
