Embossing Paste - in Australia? Buy from Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

You know when you buy those products you have to have and go in the drawer or cupboard to use ‘later’?

Yes well the Embossing Paste was one of those for me – I just hadn’t had the time to play with it and if it hadnt been the subject of this month’s technique it would probably still be there! How bad is that but boy … now I’ve played with it I want to play more with it! It’s so easy to use and so much you can do with it!

You can sprinkle Embossing Powder over it and heat it for a metallic look or colour it with our lovely reinkers. For today’s card though I simply made my own mask using the cream/froth die from the Coffee Cups Framelits Dies from a Window Sheet and created cream on my Frappe …

I even topped it with some sprinkles using the smallest Basic Pearl Jewels.  I just dropped them on an pushed them in a little then left it all to dry which was only about 10 minutes or so.

Embossing Paste tips …

  • It dries fairly quickly so be sure to have a dish with water or a wet towel to clean up your palette knives, masks, etc.
  • A silicone mat is perfect base for mixing colours.
  • be sure to replace the lid once you’ve taken what you need from the pot.
  • it’s really light and fluffy so it goes a really long way
  • it’s addictive – you’ll want to make more and more projects with it once you start!

Here’s a close up of my ‘Frappe Cream’ …

It looks cool doesnt it?  This was just one of the cards included in my July Latte Card Club and am pretty sure the ladies will love making this card – dont you?

Want to see how to use the paste?  check out this video from Stampin’ Up!

Pretty cool stuff isnt it?  It’s not expensive either – just $10.50 a tub … add the palette knives and the decorative masks for just $30.50 plus shipping.

Now it’s time to check out what the Stamping Techniques 101 Design Team has created for you – first stop is Carman Morris from the Netherlands

  1. Love this card! Do you have a tutorial on how you did the frappe? I’ve got this bundle on order and can’t wait to get it!

    1. Hi Cissy – glad you love my card 🙂 I do have a tutorial but it was exclusive for my July Latte Card Club – once the August Club goes out I’ll pop the tutorials in my store.

  2. You know my favorite drink is coffee so this card is a hit! I love the way you did the whipped cream. Great card!
