Good Afternoon … well we should be in Canberra now chilling with our friends!  Today I’m sharing a sweet card using the gorgeous Follow Your Dream Stamp Set

I fell in love with the Follow Your Dream Bundle as soon as I saw it!

The stamp set is gorgeous on it’s own but when you add to that the Chase Your Dreams Framelits pack well the possibilities are endless!

Plus when you purchase them together in the Bundle you’ll save 10% on the full retail price.  You can get the framelits and the clear mount stamp set for just $63!

There are a few elements on my card but there’s just one stamp used.  I stamped the flower sprig in Memento Tuxedo and coloured with my Stampin Blends.

The ‘dream’ is cut from Gold Foil and adhered to a stitched circle with the flowers at the bottom.  My circle is then popped onto a slightly larger black circle and I’ve used the gorgeously sparkly Black Glittered Organza ribbon and Gold Sequin Trim behind my circle layers.  It makes for a pretty, sparkly, elegant card.  You could use this card for literally any occasion – travel, new job, new home or just as an encouragement card.

It is  a little fitting to share this card with you today.  It’s always been a dream of mine to go to Canberra for Floriade.  Floriade is a large tulip and flower festival in Canberra (our nations Capital). It also helps that it can be very chilly there at times which is perfect for growing the Bulbs.

No doubt I’ll be sharing pictures on Instagram and doing some Memories & More layouts when I return.  This year we are going to the Night Fest so really excited about that!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I do hope you like today’s Dream card.

See you latte ..

Quilted Botanical Bliss

Good Afternoon!  Happy Thursday to you!  Today I have my Quilted Botanical Bliss card to share with you …

Quilted Botanical Bliss card by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

Today’s card was inspired by this card by Debra Burgin

Quilted Botanical Bliss

It’s a fun and simple card to make yet so elegant with the addition of that lovely new Tufted Dynamic Embossing Folder.  The tufted layer is done with Vellum Cardstock for a soft elegant feel.  Using fast fuse to adhere my vellum prevents you from seeing the adhesive when it’s attached.

This card would delight all your quilting and sewing friends!

Making the tag I struggled for a while trying to line up the the die cut flower to the Vanilla Tag and then it dawned on my how to do it and much easier!

Check out today’s Facebook Live Video and see how I put it together.  It’s much easier than me trying to put it into words for you!  I’ll show you how to cut and assemble your tag and also how to adhere that vellum to your card base without the adhesive showing.

My sample card above shows the ‘friend’ stamp stamped on the stitched label just in Memento Tuxedo Black.  In class we stamped in versamark and then used Black Embossing powder and heat set it.  Heat Embossing just adds a little extra ‘wow’ to your projects.

I do hope you like today’s card.  The Botanical Bliss bundle really is such a sweet Bundle and you can make many different projects with it.  I will be sharing more projects from class over the next week or so.

It’s a Long Weekend here so hubby and I are off to see Floriade in Canberra and catch up with some dear friends.

Thanks so much for stopping by and see you latte ..

Merry WIshes by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

This was a fun and easy card to make and you may even notice that there’s no stamping on the card.  So while Stampin’ Up! main product is stamps we dont always have to use them!

I used the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper pack and the Holly Sprig was made using the Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper Pack with the Sprig Punch and the berries were punched using the Cookie Cutter Punch.

I finished off embellishing with the Merry Merlot Copper ribbon, Gold Metallic Thread and some metallic sequins.

Freshly Brewed Birthday

Everyone has a Birthday dont they?  some feel they’ve had a few too many and others get giddy when it’s their birthday.  I’m a firm believer that we should all be celebrated on our special day – I even had one yesterday!

For today’s Birthday card I used the gorgeous Botanical Bliss Bundle …

Birthday Wishes wth Botanical Bliss Bundle by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

I had a lot of fun making this card.  It uses a few of my favourite products – Stampin’ Blends, Subtle Embossing Folder and the Botanical Bliss Bundle.

My flowers are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and then coloured with the Flirty Flamingo Blends Combo and the dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin Blends.

The Lovely Lipstick layer was run through the Big Shot with the Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder.  I love the effect that gives!

The frame is from the Stitched Labels Framelits pack

This pack of framelits is great for all sorts of frames, labels and elements to add to your projects.

Here’s another variation from Class last Sunday … Birthday Wishes wth Botanical Bliss Bundle by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

I simply swapped the side the label was on and popped the flowers on the corner instead of along the bottom of the label.

I do hope you like what we’ve all created for you today and it inspires you to create some birthday cards for your family and friends!

Have you joined my Birthday Club?

Stained Glass Frames

Good Morning!  Looks like we’ve made it to another Friday – Yay!! Today’s card is one of the cards from my Painted Glass Class, My Stained Glass Frames card ..

Stained Glass Frames with Butterflies card by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

Stained Glass Frames

How sweet is this card?  I love this Bundle as you can made such sweet and lovely cards with it!  I also used a few of my favourite products on the card – other than the Bundle!

I’ve used the Embossing Mats to emboss the square frame on my card base, the Stitched Shape Framelits to cut my square for the sentiment and the Stampin’ Blends to colour my butterflies! All the elements are cut out with my treasured Big Shot Machine!

I love how this card turned out, how the stitched square piece fits inside the embossed frame and using the Shimmery White Cardstock just makes this card a little extra special.

A new Business tool …

I have a ‘new’ favourite thing for my business too – it’s my new Samsung Tab S4 Tablet!

On promoting to Platinum the other week I decided to treat myself to one of these Tablets and I must say I’m loving it and finding new features all the time!  Hubby purchased the keyboard cover for me for my Birthday and it works a treat.  It doesnt collapse like other keyboard covers I’ve had in the past either!

I will now be able to take my new tablet to parties and workshops and have easy access to all my online information in a format I can actually see! It’s also a great size to pop in my new Stampin’ Up! bag for when I go out but not so big that it will weigh me down.  It’s super fast too and the battery lasts ages – even when I’m using it for hours!

It appears it works well with doing these Blog Posts too! No doubt if you see me out and about you’ll see my Tablet close by my side!

So thank you to my wonderful customers and awesome Latte Girls Team – it’s only with your support and encouragement I can promote and earn such rewards!

Thanks so much for stopping by and see you latte ….

Freshly Brewed Dandelion Wishes

Good Afternoon and welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop with the Latte Girls.  This week we are creating with the lovely Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set.

Freshly Brewed Projects with the Latte Girls BLog Hop

Dandelion Wishes

I love the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set!  What the fascination with this sweet flower is I am not sure but they’ve been a favourite of mine since I was a little girl.  I loved blowing the wispy seed heads to see how far they’d go and how many stayed. I cant remember now what the exact folklore we believed at the time but vaguely remember the number that stay was how many children you’d have.   Do you recall what you believed the remaining number was?

They are amazing little plants that literally grown anywhere and most consider them a weed. My sister affectionately calls them her ‘lawn daisies‘!

Here’s my card for you today …

Arty Dandelion Wishes by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

It was a lot of fun to make this card and the ladies loved it at class.

First I created the background using one of the splatters from the Artisan Textures Stamp Set.  I stamped it randomly in Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove and Melon Mambo till my layer was covered.

Next I stamped the group of Dandelions in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink across the bottom.  My sentiment is stamped onto vellum then layered onto So Saffron cardstock strip and layered on my card.  I finished my card tying a bow with the Whisper White Polka Dot RIbbon.

This card is one of my featured cards in this month’s Latte Card Club – you can find out how to join here

I hope you liked today Blog Hop and got some ideas on how to use the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set.  I hope using this Stamp Set or seeing our creations brought you some fond childhood memories too!

Pocketful of Sunshine

Good Morning … you know when you buy that particular item and then go to use it and you wonder why you really thought you needed it?  Aha … I was like that with Pocketful of Sunshine!

Pocketful of Sunshine

I thought what a cool stamp set – you could do this, this or this.  Then I went to use it last week and suddenly the mind is blank!  What’s with that?

Now I know I’m not the only one this happens to and it’s not just with craft stuff either!

So what do you do?  Well that’s when we turn to Pinterest or Google images.  After scrolling for what seemed like hours looking for some inspiration for masculine cards it dawned on me.  I thought why not emulate a man’s shirt with a pocket and use the pocket for a gift card?  I mean it’s for Father’s Day afterall and we never know what to get for Dad so it’s usually a Gift Card of some variety.

Here’s what I came up with …

Pocket card for him by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

Now you could anything you want in the pocket for whatever occasion you are celebrating.

You can even change the paper you’re using for a different look …

Pocket card for him by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

Techniques to Try – Blackboard Technique

Good Morning … welcome to another Stamping Techniques to Try Blog Hop.  This month the Design Team is sharing the fun Chalkboard or Blackboard Technique.

Staming Techniques to Try with Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

Blackboard Technique

This is such a fun Technique and one we often forget about so it’s been great to revisit it and share it with you!

I had so much fun creating today’s card …

Chalboard Time for Tea-ST2T by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

When deciding what Stamp Set to use my thoughts were drawn to coffee – as they usually are!  I know that surprises you … not!

I considered using the Coffee Cafe Stamp Set but thought using the Tea Time Stamp Set would give me more decals and motifs to add.  I think it turned out like one of the boards you see outside a cafe or even on the walls inside.

Technique Know How

You will need …

  • Black Cardstock
  • Craft White Ink Pad (Pigment Ink)
  • White or Clear embossing powder
  • Heat tool
  • Sponge
  • Stamps

Easy Steps …

  1. Cut your black cardstock to size
  2. Swipe with Embossing Buddy or White ink on Sponge  (this can also be done after you have stamped your images
  3. Stamp your images in White Craft (Pigment) Ink
  4. Heat set images or cover with embossing powder and heat.
  5. Add more sponged white ink if desired.  Start with light spongeing till you get your desired look.
  6. Assemble card

Technique Tips ..

  • you dont need to use embossing powder on your images however it will give your images more contrast
  • you can sponge/swipe the white ink on your card before or after stamping
  • if you are embossing your images with the embossing powder make sure your white craft ink pad is well inked but not too juicy

Check out this technique video from Stampin’ Up!

See … it’s not really hard to do and you can create lots of different backgrounds and pieces for your projects.

I would love to see what you create with this technique so be sure to pop me a message and show me!

Thanks for stopping and see you latte ..

Freshly Brewed Frames

Good Afternoon and welcome to another week of Freshly Brewed Projects from the Latte Girls.  This week we are includes ‘Frames’ in our projects.

Freshly Brewed Projects with the Latte Girls BLog Hop

Using frames in your projects can add all sorts of dimension and interest into your projects.  You can frame an image or just add a frame as the focal part and using our Layering dies makes making a frame super easy!

We’ve also got frame images in stamp sets but for today’s project I thought I’d use the frames from the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper pack.

Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper Pack from Stampin' Up!

It’s a gorgeous pack of paper featuring gorgeous blooms actually created from photo’s of real fresh blooms!

Here’s the paper I chose to use today featuring some natural frames ..

Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

Here are the cards I made for you …

Happiness BLoom Frame using Petral Promenade Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

My first card features the rectangle frame and I’ve just layered it on Smokey Slate and Petal Pink cardstocks. Now these are smaller than our regular cards to fit to the size of the frame.

The sentiment is from the Varied Vases Stamp Set and stamped in Tranquil Tide. I’ve finished off my card by adding a few of the Share What you love Artisan Pearls.

Love n hugs wreath using Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

My second card uses one of the round frames or wreath images.  I love how it even has the shadow there so it looks layered. I simply layered it onto Grapefruit Grove and then a Blushing Bride Card Base.

I’ve added some versarmark leaves to the card base for a bit of interest and depth and a simply Linen Thread Bow to the wreath.   The sentiment comes from the ribbon of courage stamp set.

If you are after super quick, easy and pretty cards you really cant go past the Petal Promenade Papers!  It was simply a matter of adhering the pieces, stamping a sentiment and you were done!  Super quick and Super easy!

Designing Designer Series Papers

Now would you like a little look into how they designed this pack of Designer Series Paper?  Check out this video …

Pretty neat huh?  Who knew some of those flowers in the paper came from the garden at the Home Office in Utah, USA?
