Making Cards with Memories & More Card Packs and the coordinating Notecards and Envelopes makes it so easy!  You could literally have a supply in your bag, car or planner and whip a card up when needed.

The only extra’s on the card above are the Stitched Oval and the bow! Everything else came from the pack or the sticker sheets from the Big Plans Planner Kit.

This little 3×4 card was super quick!  All I did was attach the ribbon and bow and pop it onto a card with Dimensionals.  The little stickers on the envelope were from the Planner Kit.  I did nothing extra to the card as it already had the sentiment on it!

Some of the cards you’ll receive in the packs are the gorgeous die cut cards. You can use these as masks or as focal points. I’ve used this black one to adorn the cover of my mini album/concertina card.  There is one on the back too!

Big Shot 101 – Inked Embossing Folder

.Good Morning .. it’s cool and overcast here in Sydney today and I’ve got one of the cards from yesterday’s Big Shot 101 Class – the Inked Embossing Folder Technique.

Big Shot 101 – Inked Embossing Folder

Inked Embossing Folder Technique by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

I enjoyed creating this card and with Christmas less than 6 months away it’s not too early to start Christmas Cards is it?

My friend Heike shared a card she’d made for the In{k}spire Me Sketch Challenge and thought it was the perfect layout for my card …

Easy Steps – Inked Embossing Folder Technique

  1. Choose your Embossing Folder and Ink Colour
  2. Using your ink pad direct to the embossing folder swipe ink pad to cover in ink.
  3. Insert Cardstock/Paper into folder and run through the Big Shot.
  4. Your ink is now transferred onto the cardstock allowing for the pattern to emboss.

Tips …

  • for a softer tone of your ink use the sponge brayer to apply the ink to the embossing folder
  • to ink  the ‘background’ of the folder ink up the side that has the sizzix/stampin up logo on it.
  • to ink on the ‘design’ of the folder ink up the side that does not have the sizzix/stampin up logo on it.
  • place your cardstock on the un-inked side then close the folder.  This way you wont smoosh the ink on the cardstock before putting it through the Big Shot.
  • Ink both sides to see the difference each side makes

Inked Embossing Folder Technique by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

To add shimmer the tree’s are painted clear Wink of Stella.  This way  they shimmered like having snow on the leaves.   It’s a little tricky to get that effect in a photo maybe you can see it a little.

I hope you like today’s card and you pop over to the Inkspire Me Sketch Challenge Blog  and see all the other creations done with this lovely Sketch.

Share What You Love

Good Morning!  Today I am sharing a card I made using the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Embellishment Kit.

Share What You Love with Friends by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

Share What You Love

You will find most companies around will have what they call a Mission Statement.  One of the things I love about Stampin’ Up! is that they dont have a Mission Statement but rather a Statement of the Heart.  I love this term.  Stampin’ Up! have shown time and time again that they are a company with Heart.  They have many anthropological endeavours over the years they have supported Ronald MacDonald House Charities and are a huge donater to the American Toy Drive each year.  Every year, on their Incentive Trips, they do a ‘Service Project’ where they give back to a community depending on where the trip is.

This year they have started a ‘Day of Service’ where they give back to a local business to help in their service to the Community and encourage Demonstrators to do the same.  I just love being part of a Company that gives so much back to those less fortunate.

Statement of the Heart

If you purchased the ‘Gotta Have it All’ special early release kit of the Share What You Love Suite in May you would have received the Statement of my Heart Stamp which I’ve used in this frame below.

Statement of the Heart Framed by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

This was one of the projects we made recently at my Latte Girls Gathering.  It is quick and easy and something a little lovely for the girls to display in their homes, at classes or parties.

It’s a great motto to live by.  To encourage others, to share with them and to make a difference in the process is a good thing.

Share What You Love Specialty Papers

I did enjoy making today’s card and I do love the Share What You Love Specialty Papers.  When you first see them in the catalogue you may be amazed at the cost of this pack.  However, there are some things to remember about this pack …

  1. It’s a double sized pack so you get 24 sheets instead of the usual 12
  2. The Paper is actually cardstock weight so it’s thick and strong enough to make card bases, boxes and gift bags
  3. Each sheet has a pearlized finish to the images on it and some patterns are embossed.

So while the outlay is more than a regular pack you’ll find it is worth the money.  You may also find you just sit and admire this paper pack for the pretty designs and the gorgeous pearl finish.

The cost per sheet is just $1.95 where the regular ‘Specialty’ papers are $2.02 per sheet.

Share What You Love with Friends by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

To create my card I stamped just the word ‘friend’ on one of the tags from the Embellishment Kit.  The flowers were cut from the Designer Series Paper.  The spray of flowers stamped on the base card are from the ‘Love What You Do’ Stamp Set.

I do hope you like what I’ve created for you today and you take the opportunity to get some of this gorgeous paper.  If you would like a free sample pack of this pack simply comment on this post and I’ll contact you for your address.  Offer is available to Australian Residents only.

Rooted in Blackberry Bliss

Good Morning and thank you for stopping by.  Today I have a card for you using the Nature’s Poem Suite.

Tree in Blackberry Bliss using Nature's Poem Suite by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

Nature’s Poem Suite

The Nature’s Poem Suite is such a gorgeous and versatile suite.

Product List

When I first received the paper pack and was looking through the papers this background piece caught my eye. It’s stunning in the Blackberry Bliss and Petal Pink and I love anything with leaves so I knew I had to use it in a card.

The gorgeous tree was stamped in Blackberry Bliss onto Petal Pink and then cut with the framelits. I do love it when Stampin’ Up! gives us and awesome Framelit pack designed to go with beautiful stamps like the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set.

Tree in Blackberry Bliss using Nature's Poem Suite by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

The background layer in Petal Pink has the smaller leaves stamped randomly in Versamark to give it a soft patterned background and gives more depth to the card.

I’ve finished my card with a row of blackberry bliss ‘lace’ that I created using the decorative ribbon border punch and embellished with a bow using the Sheer Ribbon.  I love that ribbon as it’s so easy to tie into a pretty bow!

The Rooted in Nature Stamp Set includes 16 stamps of which 6 are sentiments.  While this card could be used for any occasion I opted for a sentiment that could be used in difficult times or for sympathy.  Sadly, I have a friend who’s mum passed away this past week so know she will appreciate it.

I do hope you like today’s card and you will have an opportunity to create with this gorgeous Suite.

Dont forget I’ve got my paper share happening this month – click here for more details.

I love all our Designer Series Papers but the Paper Stacks really are just a bundle of fun!   This year we have more than we’ve had before!  They now come in all the family colours as well as three delightful packs – Tropical Escape, Wood Textures and Garden Impressions.

They are all 6×6 in size which is perfect for card fronts, scrapbook mats or to create your own Memories & More cards.  All our Designer Series Papers are acid free and lignin free so no nasties to harm your precious photos.

Today I’ve used the lovely Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper Stack to create this super quick card …

Quick & Fun card using strips of Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper Stack by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

This card was super quick to make and a great way to use up those off cuts we always seem to have.   I love the bright fun colours in this pack and I’ve used Mango Melody and So Saffron with the Artisan Textures stamp set for the background.

Now while I was photographing the card I thought how pretty would it look with some scattered sequins …

Quick & Fun card using strips of Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper Stack by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

The Iridescent Sequin Assortment was perfect for this card and the bow using the Lovely Lipstick Mini Grosgrain was the perfect finishing touch.

I do hope you like todays card and you’ll need to save this idea in the memory bank to use up all those offcuts you have stashed away!

Stained Glass Butterfly

Good Afternoon!  I hope you are enjoying your day – it’s a lovely sunny winter’s day here in Sydney.  Today I have for you my Stained Glass Butterfly Card

It’s one of the cards from last month’s Stamping Technique Basic’s Classes with Heat Embossing.  We had lots of fun using Heat Embossing in various techniques over the month.

Stained Glass Technique

Stained Glass has to be one of my favourite techniques to do and I love that it is easy and gives such loves results.

Stained Glass How to …

  1. Choose a ‘line image’ so you have sections to colour in.
  2. Stamp your image in versamark and heat emboss with black embossing powder
  3. flip image and colour with markers from the ‘under’ or ‘back’ side
  4. turn back over to admire your stunning work

It really is that simple!

Stained Glass Butterfly using Beautiful Day Stamp Set by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia
Stained Glass

Once I’d finished colouring my butterfly I cut it out with snips and popped it on my card with dimensionals behind the body.

The sentiment also come from the Beautiful Day Stamp Set and what coloured with my Stampin’ Write Markers before stamping.

You can stop by my store to purchase all the supplies you’ll need for this card and the Stained Glass technique.
