    Needlepoint Nook

Good Afternoon! Welcome to 2019 – I’m so glad you’ve stopped by 🙂 Today I’m sharing a card using the new Needlepoint Nook Suite from the Occasions Catalogue which starts on Thursday!

This was such a fun and easy card to make. It was one of the make and take projects supplied by Stampin’ Up! at On Stage in November.

    Needlepoint Nook

Do you like to stitch or sew as another one of your hobbies? Or know someone who does? this suite of products will be perfect for them … or you!

    Needlepoint Nook Suite

This suite is will appeal to those who embroider, quite, sew and to those who love handmade items!

While this suite would not have appealed to me I still purchased it as it includes some lovely sentiments in the Stamp Set. Plus the framelits include some great labels and extra elements to add to my projects. One of the labels will layer perfectly with the Pretty Label Punch as well!

I love that the Needlepoint Elements Framelits include elements to not only cut out the stamped images but create this awesome stitched design as you can see in the background

It makes such a wonderful tactile background – you could even stitch it if you wanted to!

I do love the sentiment used on this card and it sums up my wish for you for 2019! Sending you Happiness & Love!

Good THings with Butterfly Gala Bundle by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

    Good Things

Good Evening .. well I’ve been getting sidetracked all day so the post I’d planned to put up this morning is now going up after midnight! I suppose Good Things come to those who wait … eventually!

    Good Things

I love this sentiment from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set! The Good Things in Life are Better with YOU … and they are!

I mean I love stamping and creating fun cards like this one but when I do it with friends or with you, whether it be online or in a class or workshop or just to share with you here on my blog, it is better. I was about to say if I was just doing it for me then it would be pretty pointless but no … we all need to do things that make us happy don’t we? So making a card to give to a friend and hopefully brighten their day is not pointless.

The Butterfly Gala Stamp Set is coming in the new Occasions Catalogue and you’ll be able to purchase it in a Bundle with the gorgeous Butterfly Duet Punch

As you can see there are lots of images in this set – 18 actually! To my utter delight all those butterflies are joined together on the same piece of Photopolymer. So when you stamp them they are perfectly aligned to fit the punch! How cool is that?

    Gingham Gala Suite

For today’s card I’ve also used these products from the Gingham Gala Suite …

    Gingham Gala Suite

How pretty are they? I know you are going to love this suite as much as I do. Now that Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper Pack is wonderful! It has a small gingham on one side and a larger on on the back and comes in 5 gorgeous colours!

Some of the details on my card are …

    • Fine splatters using the Lemon Lime Twist & Balmy Blue Stampin’ Write Markers on my Whisper White layer.
    • Soft colouring using the Watercolour Pencils and blending with Blender Pen on the Butterflies
    • those Adhesive Backed Sequins – oh my … I will be using lots of those on a lot of my projects!
    • Apply adhesive glue to just behind the centre body of your butterflies so you can still lift those wings!

I do hope you liked my card today and if you’d like to see how it was made you can see it on my Facebook Live Video (card starts at 31:33) …

Did you notice my new blog banner & buttons? That was one of the ‘sidetracks’ I took yesterday … whoops! I do love the nice clean minimalist look though. Do you like it?

Thanks so much for stopping by and see you latte ..

Lasting Lily by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

    Freshly Brewed Sale-a-bration

Good Afternoon! Welcome to a Freshly Brewed Sale-a-bration Sneak Peek.

Freshly Brewed Projects with the Latte Girls BLog Hop

    Sale-a-bration Sneak Peek

I do hope you had a wonderful Christmas Day and made many new memories with your friends and family. We had a lovely quiet day at home – it was nice for a change not to be rushing here or there and to just relax.

Now I ummed and ahhed about what to share with you today. I opted to go with a new Level 2 Sale-a-bration Set that I think will be super popular .. the Lasting Lily Stamp Set.

I did love making today’s card and it’s one that I did case from the Sale-a-bration Catalaogue and just changed it around a little and added a little bling.

The Lily flower heads are stamped in Highland Heather and the Stems are stamped in Old Olive. Both are stamped after stamping off first. I didnt want my flowers too dark so you couldnt see the detail.

This set is one of the new Distinktive Stamps in Photopolymer and while it took a little time to get it to stamp right it now stamps perfectly. I did condition my stamp by lightly sanding it first and then loading it with ink and cleaning it a couple of times. Once you do this then you should be able to stamp easily and get a good image.

    Lasting Lily Tips & Tricks

Check out my Facebook Live video for my tips and how I got them to stamp.

As you can see it took a little to work it out but once I had it stamped fine.

I’ve also used one of the new Saleabration Ribbons behind my banner to give a little more interest and depth. I finished off my card using my ‘go-to’ Basic Jewel Rhinestones! Those babies will lift any card!

    Sale-a-bration is Coming!

I do hope you like today’s card. I’m taking bookings now for January to March for Sale-a-bration Crafternoon’s or Parties. If you’d like to host a party or Crafternoon with your friends please be sure to contact me.

If you’d like to see the Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration Catalgoues and some samples and have a play first why not reserve your seat at these upcoming launches …

    Suite Season Washi Tape

Good Afternoon! With just two more sleeps for Christmas I thought I’d share with you my Suite Season Washi Tape Cards. If you need another couple of quick cards then these will be perfect!

Sweet & super fast Christmas Cards using Suite Season Washi Tape by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

    Suite Season Washi Tape Cards

These cards were part of my recent Card Cafe and were my most popular card (or cards) of the day. Using the Suite Season Washi Tape makes them super fun, super quick and super festive.

Now if you are quick to can still grab this Washi Tape pack for just $12.53 as it’s on sale in the Year-End Closeout Sale. Remember this sale finishes on 31st December so be sure to grab the Washi before it’s gone for good.

Card base is one of our Notecards & Envelopes. I’ve then cut a layer 8cm x 12cm (3 1/8″ x 4 3/4″) and popped the Washi Tape diagonally on the bottom right corner of the layer.

The sentiment is stamped in Real Red and from the Christmas Pines Stamp Set onto Whisper White then Punched out with a circle punch. The Tranquil Tide Glimmer paper is used and cut out the die from the Spot of Tea Framelits Dies set to create my ‘bauble’.

I’ve attached my “Bauble” to my card with dimensionals and finished it off with a sweet bow.

My second card is also a Notecard. I’ve cut a Silver foil layer then the whisper white layer to go on top. I’ve wrapped the washi this time horizontally around the top half of my white layer.

Now before adhering the white layer to the silver foil I cut the scalloped square out of the Silver Foil Layer. This extends the use of your foil paper and you cant see it once the white layer is adhered onto the Silver foil!

Using the star from Takeout Box Dies I cut it from the two layers together. I did this so it was easy to line up when assembling. Then I popped my Star Cut Out Squares on an angle and stamped my sentiment from Christmas Pines and finished my card off with a bow.

These two cards are super easy and quick and the perfect option for when you havent made quite enough Christmas Cards and just need an extra 1 or 12!

I do hope you like my quick and easy Christmas Card using the Suite Season Washi Tape Bundle. I also hope with just 2 sleeps to go that you have got most of the things done you need to do and all the presents are wrapped and under the tree!

Christmas Blessings to you and your …

Dashing Deer in the WInter Woods by Leonie Schroder Indpendent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

    Dashing Deer – Winter Woods

Good afternoon … well Christmas is coming up quickly and before we know it it will all be over for another year.  Before that happens I thought I’d share this sweet card using Dashing Deer and Winter Woods

    Dashing Deer – Winter Woods

My card today is actually one I cased from my dear friend Sandi MacIver from Canada.  It was such a wonderful blessing to spend time with Sandi and her hubby after our Alaska Cruise.  I’ve wanted to visit Canada forever and  it was only possible staying with them.  They also treated us to a road trip to Banff and Jasper National Parks.

We thought for sure we’d see some Deer or Moose along the way but they had heard about these Aussies coming and opted to stay in the woods.

Dashing Deer in the WInter Woods by Leonie Schroder Indpendent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

To create this card we used a strip of the Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper along the bottom and a piece of Gray Granite across the top which we’d run through the Big Shot with the Gently Falling Embossing Folder.  These two pieces were stuck together and a piece of copper foil to cover the join.

Our trees were die cut from Shimmery White cardstock.  The deers were stamped in Soft Suede and die cut and place on a Stitched Oval piece along with the sweet little sentiment.

I did love making this card – as did the ladies at my Dashing Deer Class.  I am glad to see the Dashing Deer Bundle will be carrying over through to the end of May 2019.

With so much to choose from I thought I’d share with you one of my favourite projects of late – the Concertina Memories & More card.

Concertina Card using Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

This is such a fun, fun card to make and is based on the cards I shared recently that I cased from Patty Bennett.  I have used the new Happiness Blooms Memories and More Card Pack to create my card.

It’s so cool as it folds out two ways!  First to the right …

Concertina Card using Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

It’s easy to add a couple of small photo’s or a sweet message to your friend.

    Then, to the left

Again, you could add a message on that centre panel and maybe a photo of the two of you on the right panel.  You could even make a Vellum mini envelope with your Envelope Punch Board and pop a gift card inside!

There are lots of fun ways to use the Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Kit and this is just one cool way.   You can see my Santa’s Workshop Memories & More Concertina Pocket card here.

My Everything by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

    Show Your Heart Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to the Show Your Heart Blog Hop

Show Your Heart 4 Heart Kids

We are a group of card makers with a desire to make a difference. We have gathered together to raise awareness and funds for HeartKids.

HeartKids help families fight against one of the leading causes of infant death in Australia, Congenital Heart Disease. It is estimated that for every 1,000 Live Births 8-10 babies born are affected in some way with Congenital Heart Disease. Sadly there is no known cure.

We’re inspired by the work that HeartKids do, so we wanted to raise money for them as part of our participation in Show Your Heart 2019. We will be showing our hearts to help little hearts so please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the ‘Donate Now’ button.

Click here to Donate – every little bit helps!

On behalf of all the little hearts we are helping, we thank you for showing your heart

    You’re my Everything

So our theme today is Love.  Love for a friend, family member, child, partner.  I’ve created a card for you using the Petal Promenade Suite from the Annual Catalogue

My Everything by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

I just love that sentiment.  If you want to really tell someone how much they mean to you, and with out being soppy, this is it!  You’re My Everything!

This card could definitely be given to anyone you love and not just to your husband, wife or partner.

My card was quite easy to put together.

The little tag on top was created by simply cutting a strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock. I used a die from the Beautiful Layers Thinlits dies to cut the top part of the tag.  The stamps used all come from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set.  I stamped my flower first in Mossy Meadow then again in Fresh Fig on a separate piece of Very Vanilla and cut it out with my snips and popped it over the top of the green image with dimensionals.

The background papers are from the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper Pack and I’ve used the Rich Razzleberry Velvet ribbon as the divider between the to papers.

My Everything by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

I simply adhered my tag to my card with Dimensionals after affixing some of the gorgeous Rose Metallic Thread to the back of the tag.

I finished off the tag with one of the sweet Petal Pink Rhinestone Gems.  It’s a sweet card and while I could have added more embellishments or stamps I want the sentiment to be the focus of the card and not all the pretty things I could have added.

I do hope you like it.

    Let’s go Hopping

Now let’s see what the girls have created to share with you today …

I know funds can be tight in December but we’d appreciate it if you could donate to help the work of HeartKids.

Even just be foregoing that Cappuccino or Latte at the shops today and donating as little as $5 will help.

Simply click the donate button above or click here to donate

Thank you so much for stopping by today and for your support in our little campaign.  Have a great day and see you latte

    Stitched All Around

Good Afternoon and thank you for stopping by for another Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop with the Latte Girls

Freshly Brewed Projects with the Latte Girls BLog Hop

    Stitched All Around

Today I have for you a card from my Stitched All Around Class I held a couple of month’s ago.  I went to look at making a new card and realised I hadnt shared this one with you ..

Vintage Special Day using Stitched All Around and Very Vintage by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

I love grabbing the vintage sets and having a play with them.  I do love this style but find I tend to do ‘clean and simple’ more than vintage.  I really did enjoy making this card and my ladies really loved making this one.  Some shy away from ‘vintage’ thinking it’s too hard or too involved.  I find if you take the time, take them step by step then it’s not so daunting.

I stepped them through the elements on the vintage layer, stamping each stamp step by step and layering. Some with stamping off and some not then finished off with a little sponging.

I do love the brown and pink tones in this card.  You may notice I have even used some Rose Metallic Thread!

Vintage Special Day using Stitched All Around and Very Vintage by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

I have used the Stitched Shapes Oval for my sentiment layer and then behind is one of the gorgeous Stitched Labels in Soft Suede.

I do hope you like what I’ve created for you today.  The Very Vintage Stamp Set is very lovely with lots of different elements to use.  You can choose it with your Hostess Rewards when you hold your party.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and see you latte …
