Freshly Brewed Projects with Retiring Papers

Good Afternoon and welcome to another round of Freshly Brewed Projects from the Latte Girls! This week we are creating with the Retiring Designer Series Papers

I love all our papers and they make for such fun and easy cards!

Retiring Papers …

Now all our papers retire every year to make way for new fresh designs.  This both sad and exciting as I’ll miss the old papers but man you should see the new ones coming!  One thing that I will let you know is the Colour Family 12×12 Designer Paper Stacks are retiring and we wont be getting any new ones of these in the new catalogue.  So I thought today would be the perfect opportunity to celebrate them!

Today I’ve chosen to use the papers from the Subtles Designer Paper Stack and I’ve simply cased a card from this year’s Annual Catalogue – page 106.   I love this card using Sprinkles of Life and the Tree Builder Punch.

Now I was going to make one card. Then I thought I’d make three to show the sweet papers in different colours. Then I couldnt choose which design to use so I made six!

That’s ok … I can use them for thank you cards for orders, or just as a Random Act of Kindness!

The colours I chose today were So Saffron, Pool Party and Pink Pirouette.

As a celebration of our papers I’m giving what I have away!  Anyone who places an order of $25 or more will receive a pack of 12 DSP card fronts (4×6) as a thank you from me. Actually, you’ll get a pack for every $25 in your your orders during May!

Now it’s time to it’s time to take the Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Tour and see what the others have created for you this week.

What Will You Stamp – Beautiful You

Welcome to another What Will You Stamp Challenge and this week we are using the Beautiful You Stamp Set.

What Will You Stamp - Beautiful You - Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator Australia

This set is such a gorgeous set and can be used in many different ways.

I will admit I did not buy this set when it was released. There were just so many different projects using it and it really did flood the market.  We were told in February that this set would be going into the new Annual Catalogue. That’s when I decided it was time to get it and so glad I did!

Beautiful You …

Beautiful You by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator Australia

This card was one we did on my Way’s with Markers class in April.  I’ve used the No Line Watercolouring Technique which gives way to this soft and pretty card.

My Way’s with Markers Class is a monthly Class and it’s free for all those in my Marker Club. Anyone can attend who just want to do the class for a small fee or free with a qualifying order.  Be sure to check out my Events Calendar for this month’s class and book in early as they are very popular. If you aren’t local to me or would just like the online class you can purchase it here.

Dont forget to check out what the other ladies have created for you this week over at the What Will You Stamp Challenge Blog.

I have lots more ideas for this bundle so stay tuned over the next few weeks – you may also like to book in for my class on 20th May if you are local to me.

A Dapper Smile …

Eastern Palace Suite card by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator Australia

This is a great card and one that I originally made for my Brother In Law’s birthday – he’s a Parramatta supporter so the Blue & Gold worked perfectly.  I purposely left space under the sentiment to stamp a design. I used the little three dots stamp and with the set being photopolymer it was easy to over stamp that larger dot.

Here’s his card …

A note for You …

This card was inspired by Anja Luft – a demonstrator in Germany.  I’ve swapped the coloured layers around and added a couple more of the floral vinyl stickers to my decal.   Those curved sentiments work so perfectly with the framelit cut out!

Life is Beautiful …

I’ve had this card in my head most of the week and it’s good to get it on paper … well cardstock!   I did have lots of fun creating this card and it’s so easy and that little spray stamp behind the flowers just makes them ‘pop’.

I did the sprays first then added the other little stamped elements, added some lovely little gold bursts and gold Faceted Rhinestones for some bling.  The sentiment in Powder Pink is perfect as it’s subtle enough to see and doesnt detract from the rest of the card.

I hope you enjoyed the cards I’ve made for you today and now it’s time to pop over and see what Kristel has made for you with the Eastern Palace Suite.

Jar of Delightful Daisies

Good Evening … I’m coming to you a little later today than usual as I’ve got a little carried away creating for Sunday’s Blog Hop but you’ll have to wait to see those projects.  I do have another card for you from my Delightful Daisies presentation for On Stage Local in Sydney last month.

Jar of Delightful Daisies by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

This card really was fun and just goes to show you how well the new stamp sets can go with sets you already have and love.

Now if you dont have the Jar of Love bundle yet you may wish to grab it before the end of the month. Why? well when it goes into the new Annual Catalogue it will no longer be available as a bundle so you’ll miss the 10% discount which comes with bundled products.

I love that the two step stamps are now Photopolymer …

It makes it so you can see exactly where you are placing your stamps so stamping the little wildflowers was super easy.  It made stamping the yellow on the daisies easy too!

Dont forget to save the 28th May for my New Catalogue Crafternoon.

It’s a free afternoon and you’ll get to see lots from the new catalogue plus get to play and use some new products. You’ll make 2 projects to take home and you’ll get a free catalogue on the day too plus there’ll be door prizes and afternoon tea!

Stamping Techniques 101 – Thumping

Hello and Welcome to another Stamping Techniques 101 International Blog Hop and this month we are sharing ways to do the Thumping Technique .

I love the Thumping Technique as it’s so easy to do and you just need a few supplies.  You just need Stamps, Markers and Cardstock – that’s it!

I’ve done many cards using this Technique over the years and you always get such a different look with each one.  I do always tend to go back to the old faithful Lovely as a Tree stamp set …

Thumping Technique ..
  1. Colour Tree Trunk with Early Espresso Marker
  2. Colour leaves/foliage with your Crushed Curry Marker
  3. using a ‘thumping’ or tap your Pumpkin Pie marker on the side of the brush end randomly on your stamp.
  4. Repeat step three with your Cajun Craze Marker.
  5. Huff onto stamp then stamp onto cardstock

This technique is great for all sorts of images like trees, leaves, flowers or sentiments – anything you want a ‘mottled’ type look on.

Now it’s time to see what the others have made for you this week using the Thumping Technique ..

Freshly Brewed Projects – Retiring Stamps

Good Afternoon and thank you for joining us for another Freshly Brewed Projects from the Latte Girls Blog Hop. This week we are designing with Retiring Stamps

This year the Retiring List is huge so I had plenty to choose from!  You can check out all the retiring stamps here.  So with so many stamps I really couldnt go past Builder Birdcage and Gorgeous Grunge.

Builder Birdcage & Gorgeous Grunge ..

I love these two sets and I’ve had a little fun making today’s card for you …

Builder Birdcage & Gorgeous Gunge fun with Retiring Stamps by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

How fun is this card?  It’s a little like those two little birds caused a wee bit of trouble with all those cages.  It’s always the ‘little things’ that cause the most trouble isnt it?

I’ve used the fine splatter stamp over the area the cages with Pink Pirouette and Pool Party as a soft way to break up the white background

The sentiment comes from Cottage Greetings – another retiring Stamp Set.

What Will You Stamp – That’s the Tag

Hello and Welcome to another What Will You Stamp Challenge – this week we are using the lovely That’s the Tag Stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue ..

What Will You Stamp #114 - Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

It’s great to be back designing for the What Will You Stamp Challenge Blog again! I needed the break with all the preparations for On Stage and such!

That’s the Tag …

This set is such a sweet little set and when you bundle it with the coordinating Framelits you have the tools to make some gorgeous cards and tags.

That's the Tag Bundle - Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

Now just so you know, this bundle is retiring so if you’d like to get it you’ll need to purchase it before the end of May as it wont be going into the new Annual Catalogue.  You can make sweet cards for all occasions with this little set!

Now I wanted to do something a little different with the stamps today and I thought a nice little wreath card would be perfect …

That's the Tag Wreath Card by Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

I must say I do love how this card turned out! Can you spy any sneak peek products on this card?  There are four – can you spot them?

While I was making this card a friend came to mind so I think I’ll be sending it to her – she’s a demonstrator friend in USA who’s just had her sister lose her battle with cancer.   Just so she knows I am thinking of her and praying for her family.

Now while I’m sending this as a sympathy card you could use it for any occasion as this set has over 8 different sentiments you could use!

So did you spot the  new products?

Here they are …

  1. Powder Pink Cardstock layer
  2. Blushing Bride Double Stitched Ribbon
  3. Berry Burst Classic Ink Pad (sentiment and flowers)
  4. Powder Pink Stampin’ Write Marker (to colour the flowers)

I hope you like today’s little card and it’s the one we’ll be doing this Wednesday for Coffee & Card so be sure to pop from 11.30am to make yours!  $5 gets you this card and a cup of coffee – I may even pop something into the oven to go with that coffee!

Thanks for stopping by and dont forget to hop over to the What Will You Stamp Challenge Blog to see what the other ladies have created for you this week!
