What Will You Stamp – Dragonfly Dreams

Welcome to another week of What Will You Stamp Challenges and this week we are creating with the lovely Dragonfly Dreams …

WWYS108 - Dragonfly Dreams - Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator AustraliaI love this set! You can also get the coordinating Framelit set which makes cutting them out so much easier.

I’ve made a few projects already with this set so had to think about today’s project.  I’m running a Marker Club starting this month so thought I’d do a Marker Technique on this card.

Dragonfly Dreams - Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Australia

I used my markers to colour direct onto one of Acrylic Blocks, spritzed it with water and then stamped that onto Shimmery White cardstock for this wonderful background result.  It gives to a lovely ‘tie-dyed’ effect.

Once that panel is dry you can then easily stamp your sentiment and stamp and cut out the dragonfly to make this card.  If you are an impatient stamper like me you can speed up the drying with the heat tool but it really doesnt take too long to dry as you are only putting a fine mist of water on the block.

The Dragonfly was stamped in Jet Black stazon then coloured with the aqua painter in Tempting Turquoise and Melon Mambo – two of the colours I used for my block stamping. I then added some coordinating Enamel Shapes and Rhinestone Jewels to finish off my card. I hope you like what I’ve made for you today!

Stamped Emboss Woodlands

Good Afternoon!  I have another card for you today from my ‘Ways to Use – Embossing Folders’ class.  Today’s card uses the Stamped Emboss Technique ..

I love this technique and I  love how you get a different look every time!

Technique Quick Steps ..

  1. Choose an Embossing Folder that will work with a ‘background’ like Woodland.
  2.  Stamp image onto the side with the raised background – usually the side with the Sizzix logo on it.
  3.  Place cardstock onto unstamped side of folder and close. Run through Big Shot once or twice to ensure a good transfer of the stamped image/s.

For my background on this card I simply stamped the tree canopy stamp from Sheltering Tree on my folder using Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum.

I loved the look so much I did it in a landscape card as well …

You dont want to cover up all the work you’ve just done so a small simply sentiment is perfect for this card.

I hope you like my cards as much as the ladies at the class did – they were very happy with the results of this card.

Dont forget to get your orders in this month so you dont miss out on any of the free Saleabration items.  Being the last weeks of Saleabration the products are while stocks last so be sure to get those orders in before you miss out – some of the items have already run out in the USA!

Freshly Brewed Projects – Hey Chick

Welcome to another round of Freshly Brewed Projects from the Latte Girls and this week we are designing Easter Projects with the Hey Chick Sale-a-bration Stamp Set.

When I first saw the Hey Chick Stamp Set I thought what a cute fun set …

Little did I know just how very popular it was going to be!  Stampin’ Up! are so on target with their designs and products!

Just like all good things Saleabration is coming to an end 🙁   There’s just three weeks left to get your order in and grab your free stamp sets.   Dont dilly dally and leave it too late … you dont want to be like this guy …

Now being that we have an Easter theme and the Hey Chick Set I was immediately drawn to our pretty cool Mini Egg Cartons …

Mini Egg Cartons

Here’s what I made …

Cute Easter Packages using Hey Chick & Mini Easter Cartons - Leonie Schroder Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator Australia

These Easter Treat boxes are so quick and easy – even with the colouring of the cartons.

To colour your cartons simply 3/4 fill your Spritzer with rubbing Alcohol and then pop in 3 or 4 drops of reinker for the colour you want.  You can adjust the concentration of colour by the number of drops. If you want a lighter colour use 2-3 drops and for a richer, more intense colour use 4-6 drops.  I’ve used Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay on my cartons.

I found these sparkly eggs at Coles the other day so perfect for today’s photo.  These little Easter Treat Cartons will be perfect for my girls for Easter.  They are older now so dont really do the Easter Egg Hunt thing and really do not need copious amounts of chocolate – although my 17 year old would beg to differ!

I will pop a few eggs inside these for them for Easter with the addition of a Gift Card.  This will allow them to get something they want and still celebrate the Gift of Easter.

I hope you like the little treat boxes I made for today and now it’s time to stop by and visit with Libby and Narelle and see what gorgeous Easter Projects they’ve made for you today

Baby Cards with Bookcase Builder

Good Afternoon!  Do you ever go through a catalogue and see something new each time? or maybe you see a stamp set you wonder why you havent seen it before? Have you noticed the Bookcase Builder Stamp Set in the Occasions Catalogue? It’s one I love and think gets overlooked. Dont think you’d use it?  Well I hope what I’m sharing with you today changes your mind.

I have some friends who recently had a baby after many years of trying so wanted to make them a card.  I made this card using the Bookcase Builder Stamp set …

This card was so quick and easy with the Stitched Shape Framelits and our Notecards.  You can still order the Stitched Shape Framelits even though they arent in the catalogues and they will be in the new Annual Catalogue that comes out in June!

I loved this card so much I decided to make a bundle of matching thank you cards for them to use …

I did use the “Thank You for being my friend stamp” from the Bookcase Builder and just used my Island Indigo Stampin’ Write marker to colour just the Thank You and it worked a treat!

The colours I used for the blocks are Tangerine Tango, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry.

I do have some more ideas jotted down in my planner for the Bookcase Builder Stamp Set so stay tuned for those over the next few weeks.

Here’s what you’ll need to make this project …

Freshly Brewed Projects – Birthdays and Cake!

Welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects from the Latte Girls Blog hop and this week we are using the theme Birthdays and Cake!

We all have birthday’s right and therefore we all deserve cake do we not?

What’s your favourite cake?  Mine is Red Velvet! I am hoping having started Weight Watcher’s last week I’ll have lost a bit by September so I can have some Red Velvet Cake!  I did lose 1.9kg in my first week so I’m off to a great start!  For my American friends thats a little over 4lbs.

This week I decided to use the Cake Crazy Stamp Set …

Cake Crazy

As soon as I saw this stamp set I immediately had to have it and for all it’s quirky images and words which will give lot’s of many and varied cakes to make!

Here’s my card for today …

The colours I’ve used are Tangerine Tango, Rose Red and Island Indigo.   I love how these three colours go together to make this fun quirky card.

The Cake Crazy stamp set is Photopolymer so its perfect for2 step stamping.  It makes it very easy to line the stamps up from the diamonds in the bottom layer to the candes & flames on top!

Now its time to ead over and see what Libby and Narelle have  created for you this week.

Ways to use Embossing Folders – Brick Wall

Good Morning and Welcome to another edition of my new Ways to Use Classes and this month it’s Ways to Use Embossing Folders.

This class was so much fun and the ladies all loved it and it will be available as a Class To Go for you to purchase this week – or you can also get it for free so keep reading on for those details!

Brick Wall Sponging …

I loved doing this card and making the background.  I’ve used the Brick Wall embossing folder with Very Vanilla Cardstock. I then sponged with blues, browns and gray inks to  get this effect.

I wanted to emulate those plaques and metal decor items you can get for the outside entertaining areas.  I chose the pots from Gift from the Garden Stamp Set and just coloured my stamp with my Stampin’ Write Markers before stamping.  The sentiment is cut out using one of the frames from the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelit pack.

I do love the way the bricks are vertical – it’s like one of those trendy new style feature walls.

How perfect would this card be to go with a plaque or plant for a housewarming present?

Be sure to check back later this week to get all the details for my Ways to Use Embossing Folders Virtual Class!

What Will you Stamp – Delicate Details

Welcome to another What Will You Stamp Challenge. This week we are all designing with the very lovely Delicate Details Saleabration Stamp Set …

This set is just so pretty and I love to create with it.  I’ve had many grab it for free with their qualifying orders with Saleabration.  You just need to place a $90 order to get this sweet set for free!

Everyone loved this card I made with Delicate Details last week . For this week I wanted to do something different than just covering the whole card with the lace images.  I did a little thinking and decided on stamping half the card front …

My colour combination was inspired by the new Saleabration Glimmer Paper Pack. I love how Mint Macaron goes with Sweet Sugarplum!  Such a pretty colour combination. It’s going to be a sad day of mourning when Mint Macaron retires on 31st May.

I’ve also included a 5mm (3/8″) strip of the gorgeous Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer Paper which is from the 2nd Release of Saleabration Products.  In the Glimmer pack you get 12 sheets of 6×6 Glimmer Paper – 4 each of Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum and Bermuda Bay.  It’s a must have!

Do you always have lots of the larger Basic Pearl Jewels leftover?  This is a great way to use them up!

The sentiment comes from the Bookcase Builder from the Occasions Catalogue.

Bookcase Builder Stamp Set

This set is so versatile for all sorts of cards (Baby, Travel, Booklover) and I think it will be very handy in Project Life too!

Dont forget to hop over to the What Will You Stamp Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has created.  I’m sure they will wow you with their creativeness! You’ll be able to pop your link in for the card you make with Delicate Details as well!
