Good Afternoon and welcome to our first Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop with the Latte Girls for 2018! Today we are sharing ways to use your Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Catalogue!
Designer Series Papers
I do love our Designer Series Papers and the new papers coming in the Occasions Catalogue are simply divine!
I know many, including myself, tend to purchase our beautiful patterned papers but find it hard to use them. I mean who wants to cut up something so pretty? Well hopefully I can share with you today a couple of ways to use those papers from the Occasions Catalogue and it inspires you to use the ones you have so nicely filed on the shelf!
First up I want to share with you a desktop storage idea which is actually helping me to use my papers up more. Some of you may be aware that I offer a Paper Share with each new catalogue. When I do my shares I cut my papers to 4×6 as this is the perfect size for a card front or to use in your Memories & More pages. It’s also the perfect size to fit in my desktop storage box!
Makes it super easy to flick through and select a piece for your project and I find I’m using my papers more and I dont have to drag out the whole pack of 12×12.
My container comes from Howards Storage and designed to store the recipe base packets. It works perfectly for my pieces of Designer Series Paper and I’ve just made dividers from the backing boards that come in the DSP packs and cut the tabs with my Envelope Punch Board.
Drapery Fold Card
Techniques are a great way to use up your Designer Series Paper and my share with you today is the Drapery Fold Card using the gorgeous Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
Now I will admit the Drapery Fold looked to fussy for me so I hadn’t attempted it until one of my customers asked for a class with it. Well I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is!
They make a rather quick and easy card and you can get 3 from one 12×12 piece of Designer Series Paper!
My third card today (from the same sheet) uses the opposite side of the paper from the previous two ….
I love this pretty Calypso Coral Design and the gorgeous new Whisper White Organza ribbon goes perfectly with it!
Now, as I was going to bed the other night, I had a thought – not sure why I get these ideas as I’m going to bed but that’s when they usually come. As you know I’ve been making several pages for my Love Today Planner. I got to thinking about making a page to fit my planner to keep my tutorials neat and handy. I am going to keep them in the Memories & More Album I have my Technique sheets in.
So today I have for you my Drapery Fold Tutorial for free! Simply Click here to download the free tutorial – it even has a cutting guide around it so you know it will fit perfectly into your Album.
Now it’s time to head over and see what Libby has created for you today!
