Hello and thank you for joining me today for the Autism Matters Blog Hop!
I am joining some wonderful Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over world to help create awareness for Autism.
I have many friends who’s children have been diagnosed with Autism and this post is for all of them – to create awareness, appreciation and acceptance.
Did you know …
- In the United States, one in 98 boys are diagnosed with autism, and 24,000 people are diagnosed with autism for the first time every year
- An estimated one in 100 Australians are on the autism spectrum; that is around 230,000 people. It is four times more common in boys than girls.
Today’s card for all those who live with Autism day in and day out and know that those little moments matter a lot …
I know some days are routine however most days can be messy or grungey so I’ve used Gorgeous Grunge for my background using colours of Autism Crushed Curry, Real Red and Tempting Turquoise.
The butterflies in the background represent those times when it’s just that little bit easier or where you see a spark in your child that others may just take for granted in theirs.
The sentiment used comes from Watercolour Wings and thought it apt for todays Blog Hop.
Thanks so much for joining us today on our blog hop! If you’d like to help by providing a donation to Autism Speaks for research and services for those affected by Autism, you can click on the hearts below …
