I had a very productive day yesterday which did wonders for my self esteem! I made 7 cards and one of them was for today’s Diva Sketch Challenge so it was good to be ahead even if only for a little while!
Alicia provides us with such nice sketches each week and I’m not really sure how she thinks up new ones all the time!
This one has lots of possibilities and can be used for many different cards.
Here is my card for the Sketch Challenge …
I took the opportunity to use some sets that will be in the upcoming Spring Mini Catalogue which starts 1st August – so yes Spring is coming and its lookin real nice!
When I first saw this set this image from Soft Summer it screamed Wattle to me and right now we have a lovely Wattle tree in full flower next to our drive way – well its actually next door’s Wattle but it does look good.
The Wattle is one of our native trees here in Australia and I just love the bright yellow of its flowers and its also happens to be a favourite of my oldest daughter too.
This is a 2-step stamp set so I first stamped the stamp in So Saffron then went over the top using my Mellow Moss and Apricot Appeal markers and used the Stamp-a-majig to position the stamp. The Stamp-a-majig is a definite must for this stamp set and it takes all the guessing out of 2-step stamping and it also has a number of other uses as well – a definite ‘must-have’ tool!
The Scalloped Oval is done using the new punch which will also be available in the upcoming Spring Mini Catalogue. The oval image is from Oval All which is another new set in the Spring Mini Catalogue.
If you would like to see all the new stamps, papers and accessories in action then email or ring me today to book your workshop in and be the first to see these products in action.
Have a wonderful Saturday and see you next time!

It’s gorgeous, Leonie!
Beautiful card – it it great to actually see this stamp used with the correct colour tones. Love the oval punch!! As much as the pink, blue or lilac samples I have seen form overseas still look lovely – they some how make me feel like they are wrong after seeing so much wattle popping up all over the place of late. I know, I know it is all about poetic license but each to there own. LOL
Very nice. I’m so glad you got time yesterday to play and share with us
absolutely beautiful! would love to see a picture of the “real” tree as well.
xoxo
Don’t know what a wattle is, but it sure looks pretty on your card
Beautiful colors and a beautiful use of the sketch. TFS!
Just beautiful!!! I’m with Carol, I’d love to see the real tree too!
Beautiful card!!!
This is very beautiful! Love the colors you used and the tone-on-tone stamping on the card base.
I too would like to see a Wattle
Beautiful layout, colors, and stamps. Beautiful card!
Very Pretty!
Glad you had time to “play” Leonie! I love wattle too (and probably all of our other beautiful wildflowers) – just gorgeous. I like what the new punch does – nice card too!
Don’t you just love days like that. I did that right before going camping and it felt great to be so far a head, but I have not stamped since, need to get caught up with everything else first. I am itching though. This is a great card. Love the colors and layout.
