Earthy Challenge

Well I finally did one but think I’m a little late to enter but hey I still made the card and love how it came out.
The Insipiration comes from Kristina Werner’s blog and is Colour Inspiration #15
I just love this set as its just so versatile as it can be used for male or feminie cards. I’ve also done the Vanilla Double technique which I learnt through Technique Junkies.
I do hope you like it as much as I do and if you’d like to learn the Vanilla Double technique why not invite me over to do a demonstration and I’ll show you just how easy it is!
Now I was going to send this to someone spesh but I might just need to keep this one myself and make another!

An Award and a Latte!

Firstly, by my dear ‘always’ friend Kerri Hunter who awarded me with this award …
Kerri and I met through Stampin’ Up!® and I treasure our friendship so much - she is an awesome stamper and totally amazes me with all she does every day without a second thought! Check out her blog - she does such lovely work. Thanks Kerri so much!
Now to pass this award onto five bloggin buddies ….
- Makeesha Byl - this lady is just awesome. She was the recipient of the first Australian “heart of Stampin Up!® award and is so deserving of it. Through Stampin’ Up!® we have become good friends - oh and she does really lovely work too!!
- Vanessa Webb - one of my downline and a great friend. Its hard to believe that prior to joining Stampin’ Up!® Ness had never stamped! Yes its true!!
- Nicole Stalker - I’ve known Nikki for quite a few years but only recently managed to get together after we realised the only time we saw each other was at Stampin’ Up!® conventions! Sad but true but we have remedied that now - see you next week Nikki! Oh she does awesome work too!
- Sharon Davis - this is another lady who amazes me with all she gets done - working full time, running a large household, wife/nurse to a Vet and also manages time for Stampin’ UP!® - it makes me tired just to think about all she does!
- Michelle’s Stamping Ground - this lady has become a special friend since convention and she always has time to message me on msn and see how I am. Her blog is looking great now she’s posting more so go check it out and encourage her!
I am sure they’d all love to hear from you! Now when I started blogging I never thought anyone would read my posts let alone give me awards! So each and every award I get really means alot.
Now for the machine. I have a thing for coffee - yes I know … you never knew! lol Well a few weeks back I was very sternly told not to buy any more espresso machines and not to even look at them.
Well my DH rings me today and suggests I go to The Good Guys and check out the latte machine they have there on sale - so whats a Latte Lover supposed to do??
Needless to say I didnt need much convincing and its now adorning my kitchen bench.
Doesnt it look great?? and it even comes with a DVD so its gotta be good right??
Now next time your over remember to ask me for a Latte!
Now I’m off to read the instructions and make a cuppa!
Cherished Motifs

Here is a card I have been doing as a make n take at my demonstrations.
It was actually inspired by the card Nikki Stalker sent me the other week and is shown in this post

Convertible layouts
Posted by: | CommentsI showed you some work I’d made with Brocade Basics the other day which you can find here.This is how I vary my Stamp A Stacks - I tailor them to what the customer wants and these ladies do a 12×12 page and 5 of one card.
Now my ladies who asked for that layout like doing 12×12 layouts and the one in the Idea Book & Catalogue they chose was just a 6×6 so I went about converting the 6×6 design to a 12×12 layout.
It is the same design as the smaller layout but added just a few more elements so it didnt look so bare.
I have added a flower & extra leaf to the top right of the photo and have added more flowers and more flourish leaves to the bottom left corner of the photo.
I have used the Brocade Backgrounds Designer Series Papers which I love - I love the rich greens & browns and all the swirls, flourishes and designs in these papers make them just so easy to work with - although it is hard to make that first cut or fold! Not to mention they are such great value with 12 sheets of double sided paper for just $11.95 - what a bargain!
This is the card the ladies made and it is deceivingly easy to do!
Its just one stamp on the base card, the stamped flower & greeting, a couple pieces of ribbon, a piece of Designer Series Paper (which is actually from offcuts of the above layout - so a great way to use up those scraps in the drawer) and a button - what could be easier??

Posted by: | CommentsYesterday I shared how the July special is on the Starter Kit and the opportunity to be part of the Stampin’ Up!® family. Well its more like a family than a business.
Not only do the Staff at Demonstrator Support and Head Office treat you with respect and as part of the family but you also get to meet other Demonstrators online and at events like Regional Training and Convention. You click cos you know you’re part of something special and more often than not you find you have other things in common.
I am talking about all this today as in the past week or so I’ve recieved two gorgeous RAKs (Random Acts of Kindness) from two demonstrators - who also happen to be awesome ladies and I feel blessed to call them friends. 
Firstly, I received this gorgeous card from Nikki Stalker.
How well does this lady know me?? and know what happens to be my favouritest (yes its a word!) stamp set and just how much I love the new In Colours?
I loved this card so much that I used it as inspiration at a recent demonstration and those ladies loved it too! Thanks Nikki!
Yesterday I was totally blown away by a gorgeous gift from Makeesha Byl - another demo and friend from Western Australia.
I had spent most of yesterday on the lounge with a headache so wasnt the best.
Then the girls got in from school and Caitie presented me with an envelope containing this gorgeous pocket card I could do nothing as the tears welled up in my eyelids.
It seems Makeesha knows me too as she used Baroque Motifs as well and the very pretty brocade stampin round.
If that wasnt prize enough I pulled the insert to reveal a voucher for one of mine (and obviously Makeesha’s) favourite book stores - Koorong. Gotta love how God uses people to bless others - and right when they need it!
I will enjoy browsing the store and pondering what to buy … thanks so much Keesh … from the bottom of my heart! Mwah
This pic shows the top of the insert and how Keesh has used the swirly flourish from Baroque Motifs … I dont think I’ll ever tire of using that set - or receiving cards made with it!
Although I did know Nikki before I joined Stampin’ Up!® there have been many ladies I now call friends and some are customers as well as demonstrators and they are all people I would never have met otherwise.
So I do thank God and I do thank Stampin’ Up!® for enriching my life with so many beautiful people and a wonderful job that not only allows me to be home for the girls but also a job that has blessed me in so many ways.
