Back to Basics
Posted by: | CommentsWell not really … but I have been playing with the lovely Brocade Basics stamp set. Now I blame my lovely friend Nikki Stalker for my addiction to this set!

This layout was totally cased from the 2008 Idea Book and Catalogue and as requested the lovely ladies at Thirlmere will be making this layout this week along with a few cards.
This is a 6×6 layout and so quick and easy to make yet very elegant at the same time. I am so in love with Old Olive so will be very happy to share that passion with the girls.
Recipe:
Stamps: So Many Sayings, Brocade Basics
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Always Artichoke
Paper: Old Olive Cardstock, Always Artichoke Cardstock, Very Vanilla Cardstock, Close to Cocoa Designer Prints Paper, Brocade Background Designer Series Papers
Accessories: Snail Adhesive, Stampin Dimensionals, Stamp-a-majig, Paper Snips.
After my play day with Nikki back in May I created another card using Brocade Basics and the ‘Rock n Roll’ technique.
All the ladies at yesterday’s demonstration just loved this card so I hope you do too - they were a bit sad when I told them it wasnt the make and take but did get excited when I showed them what we would be making - so it all worked out in the end!
Gotta keep those customers happy!
The hostess was rather happy too with all the freebies she got - and who doesnt love free stamps??
Dont forget to check back tomorrow to see the card the girls made yesterday!

Friday eScape
Posted by: | CommentsI know I promised to load these cards yesterday (Friday) but I’m just so popular that everyone wants workshops - now just to learn how to be ‘more’ popular as I’d love to do more workshops!
I had a lovely group of four ladies come along on Friday and we all had a great creating and having fun.
Now for what was in the box …

These are the ten cute little cards that were concealed in the box and that the girls all made. They are a bit hard to see in this picture so here’s a closer look ….

I must admit they did turn out a little bit cute and I’m going to have fun sending my samples out to friends & family just to spoil them - sure Aussie Post have enjoyed all the extra ‘escape’ mail going out to!
I hope you like them as much as the ladies did.
Now back to the prep table for tomorrow’s demonstration.

What’s in the Box??
Posted by: | CommentsOOooooh … What’s in the box??

Well the box contains all the cards we will be making tomorrow at my eScape Card Crop - I have had a lovely time creating them and I know the ladies coming tomorrow will just love them!
So as not to spoil their surprise I wont show you the cards until after theirs are all done - sorry.

Have a great night and dont forget to check back tomorrow for the eScape cards we made.

a demonstrator in the making
Posted by: | CommentsWhile I was preparing for workshops last week my 11yo daughter kept asking me if she could stamp - why do they always want to stamp when your busy preparing? I hate to say no so I said tell me what you want to use and that she’d have to clean them when done.
Well she grabbed a couple of stamps and inks and off she went.
These are her creations …

How clever is my little girl?? Well she’s not so little anymore - she’s nearly a teenager (well so she saysÂ
)
Now I wonder what the minimum age is to sign up as a Stampin’ Up!® demonstrator? hmmm

Make anything your own
Posted by: | CommentsYou know how bad it feels when you turn up somewhere wearing the same dress as someone else and bringing out your coffee mug to make a cuppa at a crop or meeting and finding that someone else has exactly the same coffee mug? Well those days are gone!!
With the 2008-2009 Catalogue Stampin’ Up!® introduced their rub ons to the Australian public. Yes I know we have had other brand rub ons here for quite some time I am very proud to say that the Stampin’ Up!® rub ons are of very high quality and I have not had one problem with them like I have with other (big) brand rub ons.
Before a recent demonstration where I thought I’d decorate a mug and give that to my hostess with a sachet of hot chocolate in there I would test them myself and I am very pleased to say they worked at home and the demonstration and my hostess (as well as her guests) were very impressed with it - I am sure that my hostess also enjoyed the hot chocolate!
So when I came across the new Financial Year diaries in Big W last week and found a lovely pastel pink one but thought it would have been nice with a pattern on it I figured I’d survive.
So as I was sitting down preparing for a class and glanced and my coffee mug and had one of those light bulb moments and wondered how they’d go on my diary. So what’s a girl to do? I applied the rubons and boy did they look good.
Then I remembered seeing them on Tracey’s laptop so yeah I put a couple on there too.
Now I do a fair bit of work on my laptop and they have shown no signs of wear yet and one is where my wrist sits when I type -but then again it has only been 4 days!

Bit snazzy hey??
Remember a while back I made a friend a pocket card for her birthday with no stamping? that one was using rub ons too - here’s the card as a reminder and to show you that you can use rub ons for just about anything!

Oh soooo….
Posted by: | CommentsLovely … well it has been lovely to play with this set today! It’s the Oh So Lovely stamp set - and you can earn it free as a level one Hostess set!
The set comprises of the three flowers and the background strip. The words/greetings are from the So Many Sayings (another Level 1 Hostess set).
This is one of the cards for friday’s Stamp A Stack - yes I’ve been featuring those cards all week.
Recipe:
Stamps: Oh So Lovely, So Many Sayings, Linen Background, Baroque Motifs Cardstock: Whisper White, Old Olive, Rose Red Inks: Mellow Moss, Basic Black, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Old Olive Accessories: Cutter Kit, Crop-a-dile, Hemp TwineI know I said that I wouldn’t use Baroque Motifs again for a week but it sorta ‘just happened’ and it really does just give the card that little lift.
While I was making these cards up this afternoon my daughter was stamping too so I will share her creations with you tomorrow.
I really do love how these cards turned out and hope you do too - I think I will do these as a swap I signed up for.

Oh Baby!
Posted by: | CommentsIs it just me or does everyone seem to be pregnant at the moment?? well everyone except me - I just thought I’d better make sure there is no reading anything into that opening statement!
Dont get me wrong … I love babies - they really are a blessing from God and a miracle in the truest form!
Here’s one of two cards that we will be making at a Stamp A Stack this week.
The hostess asked for a baby card so we will do a couple for the boy on the right and the girl baby card is just below - it’s the same design with just a couple of the accents moved and the colours changed so they have a couple for each.
I think that giraffe has to be one of the cutest stamps I’ve seen in a while and so like a soft toy.
These two cards are done using just one stamp set - Bundle of Joy. Its a great set and can be used for birthdays for the early years as well as baby cards.
Here’s the girl card. So as you can see this design is easily adaptable for either a boy or a girl just with the change of blue cardstock & ribbon to pink.
If you are like me and have lots of friends who are pregnant you might like to book in for a Stamp a Stack too so you can get a good supply of baby cards ready to use in the future.
Maybe you’d like to do a class and have a small baby album made up for your friend or family member - we can do a small 6×6 album which would make a very lovely gift.
Email or ring me today and we will discuss what you’d like to do and arrange a date!
To all my beautiful pregnant friends I wish you lots of rest and naps now as you wont get any sleep as you’ll be sitting there looking at your little baby in wonder!
