Happy Easter
Posted by: | CommentsI just wanted to pop in today and wish all of you a happy, safe and Blessed Easter!
Its a time for new beginnings, putting the past behind us and looking forward and celebrating new life and remembering how loved we are that God would send His son to die for us that we might have life with Him forever.
I thought I’d also share the hats I made for the Easter Parade at School last thursday and amazingly enough they were quite easy to make.
Here they are proudly (?) wearing their hats - they even made it through the day and home again in one piece - and not a chocolate in sight - maybe this is why they came home in one piece?
I found a picture on the internet using Google Images and just copied it - turned out ok I think - not as nice as the one online but hey I did them in just 40 minutes and while I had a tension headache after battling everyone at Aldi that morning!
They are held together by sticky tape and I used double sided tape to stick on the beaks and eyes - how easy is that and now they have these lovely glittery hats to leave glitter all over the house!
One of the easier years - surely next year they will be too old for the Easter Hat parade!
Wishing you and your family a very happy & safe easter
and watch out for those lactose intolerant Easter Bunnies!!

I’ve done these cards using Beate’s Weekend Sketch Challenge 39. I am loving doing these sketches and seeing the different things you can do just using the one sketch but using different elements to complete your cards and ending with different results.

I have loved this catalogue as it has so many lovely sets in it as I’m sure you have noticed over the past four months. Some of my favourite sets are in this catalogue and I will be sorry to see them go at the end of the month.
So here is a list of a few of my favourite things at the moment
- Stem Silhouettes - I think every home should have one
- Sage Advice
- Carte Postale
- French Flair
- Small Sayings
- Chocolate Chip combined with Bashful Blue

Here is a card with a few of my favourite elements. I love to sponge around the edges of the layers to soften the look. I love to use 2 or 3 stamps in different colours to give it depth and I love sayings stamps!
I also love how this card turned out - you cant see the leaves stamped in versamark too well in this scan but I do like how it looks in real life!
I do hope you like this card and remember I have the discount on all retired stamp sets for the month of march so be sure to check the retired product list on the Stampin Up! website and get your order to me before its too late as some items have already been sold out.

March sees the end of two very special catalogues.
Firstly, the Summer Mini Catalogue finishes on 31st March and I have really enjoyed promoting this Catalogue as it has such lovely stamp sets and accessories in it - and all very reasonably priced. You have probably noticed one of my favourite sets from this catalogue is Long Time Friend which I’ve used in this calendar along with Sage Advice for the saying. This set is so easy to colour and you just cant do anything wrong with it. Its perfect for cards or gifts like this calendar. Also, Sage Advice is a great buy with 4 great quotes and 4 images its great value at $47.95.
The other book that is finishing this month is the 2007 Idea Book & Catalogue. However with this book finishing it also means that we are getting a brand new Idea Book & Catalogue and I am rather excited and anxious to see the new products that will be coming in this book.
As you know the retirement list was released last week and there are many sets that are being retired that are some of my favourites. To celebrate those sets retiring and to give them one last hurrah I am offering 10% off all retiring stamp sets from the 2007 Idea Book & Catalogue during March. Now a lot of the favourites are selling out already so if there is something you’d really like you may need to be quick to get it as once the stock is sold out it will not be replaced or replenished.
If your wish list is long you might like to consider holding a demonstration and using your free money earned on purchasing more of the retired stamp sets. If you do hold a demonstration during march you will also receive a bonus classic ink pad absolutely free from me.
If you don’t have time to hold a demonstration during March but would still like to take advantage of these offers why not consider holding a Catalogue Party? to do this simply pass the catalogue around to your friends and collect orders and payments and once the orders total more than $300 you are entitled to a free Level 1 Hostess set and $30 to spend for free - if your orders total more than $300 your benefits also rise and you can view the table on page 11 of the Idea Book & Catalogue or online here
This card was made using the Pocket Fun stamp set which is great for making cards for both boys and girls - very versatile! I’ve also used the Spring Flowers Designer Series Papers, Antique Brads and the Mixed Bouquet stamp set - all of which will be retiring come 31st March.
All email orders received and paid for before 20th March will also receive the 10% discount on retiring stamp sets as well as receive a special Easter bonus in your order.
Dont forget to email me and reserve your copy of the new 2008 Idea Book & Catalogue so you can be one of the first to receive the new catalogue.
Ready for Retirement?
Posted by: | CommentsWell to say the least “I’m not!!” lol but it appears quite a few of the Stampin Up stamps and accessories are!
Stampin’ Up! have released the Retired List of stamps and accessories in the current Idea Book & Catalogue making way for the new 2008 Idea Book & Catalogue which will be released 1st April 2008.
The list was released earlier than expected so if you are on my mailing list you would have received it a few days ago. If you would like to be placed on my mailing list then please email me and I will put you on there.
The list is now on the Stampin Up website and you can view it here
The list is updated on a regular basis with the products that have run out and will not be replaced so if you would like a copy of this list please email me at any time as they will not be reflected on the list available to customers on the Stampin Up website.
Sadly, a few of my favourites are being retired including ‘In Full Bloom’ which I used to make this card. Its been a favourite of mine for a few years now so its sad to see it go.
As a special and a thank you to my loyal customers any retired stamp sets you purchase from me during March I will give you 10% off the price of that Stamp set - shipping & handling will still be calculated of the full price of the stamp set.
Also, if you hold a demonstration with me in March I will give you a bonus Classic Stamp Pad in the colour of your choice (conditions apply)
Here are a few cards featuring some of the retired stamp sets.
