Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers
Posted by: | CommentsMy good friend Kerri told me about this Sisterhood 8 of the Blogging Stampers so of course I had to join!
The Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers is a group of like-minded stampers who encourage and support each other in their craft, business and blogging and will participate in swaps, challenges and raks. I know its going to be a lot of fun and one cant have enough stamping friends can they? just like one can never have enough stamps!
I am now meant to introduce myself so I’ll just put a short blurb here and you can read more about me on my ‘Introducing Leonie’ page.
I am Leonie and I have been stamping for over 8 years and scrapping for just a couple of years or so. I love to create cards and give them as raks or send them as a note of encouragement to anyone who needs it - and who doesn’t want an unexpected card in their letterbox to encourage and acknowledge them as a special person? I also love to create and decorate off the page items to give as gifts or little pick me ups!
I joined Stampin’ Up!® in August 2006 and i have loved every moment and every time i think I have all the stamps I need they go and bring out more! They continually surprise me with their freshness and new products and their product and business standards are so high they never cease to amaze me with their quality and service. I have no doubts in recommending anyone to use their products or to start demonstrating as its just so much fun and meet and make so many new friends - not just locally but world wide!
I look forward to getting to know my new ’sisters’ and sharing and encouraging them in our creative journeys.
Stem Silhouettes
Posted by: | CommentsI broke loose the other day and decided to spend some time creating something ‘not’ Christmas!
This is what I came up with and I must say I am really happy with how it turned out!
The Vintage Violet and Old Olive (my new favourite green) go so nicely together don’t you think? I then added in some bashful blue, night of Navy and Creamy Caramel. I even managed to use my Cuttlebug (who really feels rather neglected!)
I used the Stem Silhouettes set which is in the new Summer Mini Catalogue and the French Script.
Considering its less than a week till Christmas I should really write in some Christmas cards and get them in the post - have a great day!
A Pocket full o’ Christmas
Posted by: | CommentsI did my last demonstration the other week and wanted to make it a bit special and the hostess had asked for a Christmas card so I ventured into Splitcoast Stampers resources to have a browse for some ideas and came across Beate’s Pocket Card
You can see the glitter on the tree if you look closely.
I was a little worried that the ladies wouldn’t like the card but they all loved it - even my hostesses 83 year old mum! We all had a good time talking and chatting and sharing stories that we didn’t realise how late we went - my poor hubby rang and asked what to do for dinner and it was 7.30pm and i thought it was about 5pm! So yes time flies when your having fun!
I followed the tutorial that Beate wrote I just adjusted the sizing a bit so I could get 3 cards from a 12×12 sheet. I used paper from the Holiday Thyme Designer Series Pack which is only available till tomorrow so if you want some you better be quick! The stamps I used are from Riveting (Hostess set), Lovely as a Tree and Wishing You (Spring Mini). I also used the round tab punch and the circle punches.
I went to a Christmas Dinner with my up-line and some of our team and I got one of these lovely pocket cards from the lovely Sharon Davis
Sharon used the very cute Festive Favourites and Snow Flurries sets and paper from the Four Seasons Designer Series Paper. She’s even added some dazzling diamonds for the snow - I just love these snowmen - so cute!
Thanks Sharon for the lovely card - we sure did have a good time last night and the food was great - shame the staff wanted to go home!!
Cute lil Calendars
Posted by: | CommentsHow cute are these little calendars?? and they are sooooooo easy to make!
I have just used cardstock, a wheel, small 2008 calendar, adhesive and some ribbon and they are done!
Now if you would like one of these little treasures all you have to do is a place a customer [not from a workshop] order of $50.00 (before postage & handling) before 15th December.
When I send your order I will includ your very own calendar made in your favourite colours. I will even include the instructions to make your own!
Why by the 15th? well you will want it before Christmas right?? anything you want to have before Christmas to put under the tree will need to be ordered by the 15th so it gets to you in time.
Dont have a catalogue? no problems you can view them online
So what are you waiting for?

Summer mini is here!
Posted by: | CommentsWell for the past month I have been just hanging to share with you some cards I’ve made with the new sets in the summer mini catalogue which starts today!!
The new mini is just full of lovely sets applicable to our summer - the barbeques, the beautiful flowers - big and small, the fresh new sayings stamps, and not to mention the thongs (yes thongs is the right term - not flip flops!) and the shore thing set depicting a lazy summer afternoon at the beach.
Now if you’d like your very own copy of the Summer Mini Catalogue please dont hesitate to contact me and i will post one to you right away or if your close by I’ll drop one off. If you cant wait till you get your own copy you can view it online here
Now for your first tasting - I have fallen in love with this gorgeous set - Long-Time Friend and its very affordable as well.
This is a card i cased out of the spring mini and I will be demonstrating it today at a workshop to show just how easy it is to put cards featured in the catalogues together. I know they all look very stunning and they really arent that hard. So I hope my ladies today enjoy this one.
Here is another (I did say I liked this set didnt I?)
I did this card as a sample when I was demonstrating at Regionals in Sydney in November. Now if you know me you know that not only do i not like to talk to a group of people i loathe getting up in front of people let alone on stage at the Darling Harbour Convention Centre but I am so glad I did - it really was an awesome experience and I got a free stamp set for my troubles! So that was pretty cool to say the least.
A lot of the demonstrator’s have asked for instructions on the woodgrain technique I demonstrated so I will put them up in a couple of days.
Now if you’d like to see either of these cards demonstrated contact me and book in for your own demonstration. You really wont be sorry holding your own demonstration as not only do you get to keep all I make on the day but you can earn some wonderful hostess sets and FREE money to spend so contact me today!
