Introducing .....

Hi ... I am Leonie and I am an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and Manager. I live in Campbelltown, NSW, Australia with my husband and my gorgeous 2 girls.

I am very passionate about my family, stamping and coffee - hence the name - Stamp A Latte! I love to share these passions with others through classes, demonstrations and workshops. I also love to create items for gifts and share these in classes.
I would love to hear from you for your comments on my blog or to arrange a demonstration for you and your friends ... or maybe you just want to have a chat and a Latte with me!

Christmas is fastly approaching and I’m sure I am not the only one that is not ready! Christmas Pouch chclosed

Just in Thyme for Christmas Stampin’ Up! has released some very lovely Christmas Papers to make and decorate your gift boxes and Christmas cards. They will look great on any altered or decorated item not to mention adorning your Christmas layouts with these beautiful double sided papers - you get 12 sheets in the pack for just $14.50!

Here are a couple of items I made & showed at a recent demonstration.

They are very quick and easy to make and should you buy a pack of this paper I will enclose the instructions to make these lovely little gift holders. You will need to be quick as these papers are only available until December 15

Here is another shot showing the gift card wallet open and how the card sits inside.

Now if you’d like to see how these are made then please contact me to arrange a workshop at your place - you will make these two items plus another 2 gift boxes or pouches and gift tags to match for just $15 or $10 if you order the paper pack at booking and have 4 of your friends attend as well.

Can you see that bunch of lavender there?? Well that was actually made for me by one of my lovely Stamp-a-Stack ladies and it is ALL beaded! She obviously has alot more patience than me!

Subtle Summer

Posted by: Leonie | Comments (3)

I showed you yesterday the All in the Family card I made for tonight’s demonstration - well here is another I’ll be demonstrating tonight …

Sublte Summer I have used the Summer by the Sea stamp set which is a great set for colouring with markers, pencils, chalks and the yummy Watercolor Wonder Crayons.

For this card I’ve used my Soft Subtles Stampin’ Write Markers to colour directly onto the stamp which is called the ‘Direct to Rubber’ technique. I’ve then used my aqua painter to colour the image taking it from the tip of the markers. I love the soft subtle  breezy look it has given to this card - makes me wonder why i took so long to get this set!

I have also stamped the Fine Lace background onto the base card with Versamark and then stamped the greeting in Ballet Blue. If you would like to order the items to complete this card or to book a demonstration to see how I made it then please email me.

I do hope the ladies tonight will like it and I don’t stuff it up showing them!

Christmas Family

Posted by: Leonie | Comments (2)

I have been playing today in preparation for a demo tomorrow night and I usually demonstrate the stamp-a-majig so I thought I’d use the stamp-a-majig and the All in the Family set together. So I thought I’d use it to make a christmas card and here it is …

Family Christmas

Its just a simple card using the All in the Family depicting my family including the cat & dog. The All in the Family set is still available  to purchase until 30th November 2007 with 100% of the sale going to the Dave Abbott Family Fund. Dave was the general manager of Stampin Up Australasia and was a very charasmatic guy and loved what he was doing and touched many lives during his tme with Stampin Up! He was only 41 when he lost his battle with a rare blood disease and left behind his wife and three young children. I am privileged to have met Dave and to be helping with this fundraiser for his family.

The set costs $73.95 (plus postage and handling) however I am selling this to my customers at my demonstrator price plus postage so you only pay $59.15 plus postage. So email me today to get your set and help out a young family.

Take Ten Workshop

Posted by: Leonie | Comments (0)

I held a Take Ten workshop last Saturday at one of my regulars homes and I must say that all the ladies loved how their cards turned out - its amazing how different all the cards turned out considering they all used the same stamps, inks & cardstock.

What is ‘Take Ten’?

OSW Snowflake

This technique is also called “One Sheet Wonder” You take a plain piece of white A4 cardstock and stamp all over it using 3 or 4 different stamps and you can also use a greeting stamp in it too if you want. Once the sheet is filled with stamping you then cut up various sized rectangles, squares, strips and triangles and you use these shapes to make 10 cards. Its alot of fun and I’m sure my customers were a bit wary at first but once they had made a couple of cards they really enjoyed the challenge - we even had a first time stamper (Hi Cathy) there who was very impressed with herself and the cards she’d made.

These are a sample of the cards we made and we used The Snowflake Spot stamp set to stamp all over our sheet and we added a couple of the snow flurries as well as fillers. You can do this technique with any stamp set or theme and the class costs just $15 per person so if you’d like to book in for one of these classes then please contact me to arrange a suitable date.

I’m famous!!

Posted by: Leonie | Comments (1)

LOL … well you gotta sound your own horn don’t you cos no one else will!

Last week we had the news about the effects the toy called Bindeez (or Aqua Dots in USA) had when ingested so as soon as I heard I thought the right thing to do was to inform all my friends (IRL and Online) about this terrible hazard as I didnt want anyone’s children to fall victim so I did and I went and emailed my lovely Stampin Up friends internationally on the several groups I’m on and in doing so I have become a hero-ine for some … here is what the lovely Rebecca posted on one of our groups …

Three cheers for Leonie Schroder!! She is my hero!!

Leonie -

The story broke here on the 11pm news just now. You may be personally responsible for bringing this problem to the attention of the entire USA !!!!

According to the reporter who interviewed me this afternoon (how cool is that?!), the Consumer Product Safety Commission wasn’t even aware of the problem when the news station contacted them about it yesterday. By today, they had recalled the toys!! Suddenly, it’s all over the news here in Boston, hopefully everywhere else, too.

When eaten, Aquadots/Bindeez turn into the powerful date rape drug GBH. Two kids in the US have gone into non-responsive comas from eating these beads.

Thank-you so much for emailing us yesterday & alerting us to this problem that our own government knew nothing about!!

See so just by sending an email to your contacts in your inbox you can save the world (so to speak!)

I have been busy today and last night with workshops. I will upload some cards to share what we made last night at the Stamp a Stack and the One Sheet Wonder workshop today - so stay tuned!

The Card Keeper

Posted by: Leonie | Comments (6)

I wrote before about us having a holiday visiting family in Victoria. Well while we were down there I took the opportunity to have a ’stop-over’ at Kerri’s place. Kerri lives about 90 minutes from sisters so I went and spent 4 days with Kerri whilst Word Card Making Day was on.Card Keeper - front

On the night of World Card Making Day Kerri hosted a workshop to make these marvellous Card Keepers. I have seen them on SplitcoastStampers and saw one about a year ago that our Stampin Up sister Marelle had made. So I had always wanted to make one so I sat down with the girls and got to make one. It was great to just sit and create and meeting Kerri’s customers and friends was lovely too.

Card Keeper open 1

We used the Bodacious Bouquet set ro decorate our covers and pages and it all came together so nicely and I do think this will make a lovely gift and I’ll be giving a few out at christmas time so I hope the aunties like them too! Now there is so much more than a card keeper & birthday reminder - you could make these into recipe books, address book or anything you need reminders for.

Card Keeper open 2

If you think you would like to make one of these yourselves then please contact me as I will run a class for you - why not ask your friends if they’d like to make them too?

The class will cost you $25.00 which includes all the cardstock you need, the use of my stamps, inks and I will bind it for you.

If you are not local you can purchase the kit. This would include cardstock, instructions, calendar print outs and I can include a stamp set of your choice - price for the kits will start at $15 (does not include stamp set) and will vary depending if you want a stamp set and which set you want in the kit.

Stampin’ Up!® and family

Posted by: Leonie | Comments (0)

I have found that since joining Stampin’ Up!® they have become more of a ‘family’ rather than a business and this has been proven by this ‘extra special’ promotion for November.

Some of you may know that in October we lost a dear friend and colleague. Dave Abbott who was the General Manager for Stampin’ Up!® Australasia passed away after a battle with a rare blood disease - he was only 41. In their generosity Stampin’ Up!® have made a special release of the All in the Family stamp set.

AllintheFamilySet

Now the value of this set is $73.95 and Stampin’ Up!® are donating 100% of the proceeds from sales from this set to the Dave Abbott Family Fund but not just the sales in Australia but ALL the sales from this set from Stampin’ Up!® markets world wide - how generous is that? its not just the commission or profit but 100% of all the sales worldwide during November.

Dave left behind a wife and 3 young children and I know that they will be so blessed by the proceeds of this set and also by your thoughts and prayers during this trying time.

Now I am also going to offer to you this stamp set at my discounted price of $62.85 which includes shipping and handling. However if you wish to pay the full price I will also donate any commissions from this gorgeous stamp set.

Feel free to email or ring me with your order as you don’t need to hold a demonstration to be able to help in this very worthy cause. Also, if you don’t want to buy this stamp set but would like to donate to the Dave Abbott Family Fund you can do so by sending your payment to me or paying it at your local Westpac Branch. Details of the account set up are on the Stampin’ Up!® website here

I do hope that you will join me in supporting Dave’s beautiful family.
